New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

Hi nzkitsune! :)

AF has disappeared. Turns out it was only the tiniest bit of spotting yesterday. Hope she turns up today or I will reach peak levels of confusion! Confused

DP said yesterday that when we get our BFP he's gonna want to tell the whole world right away due to excitement! I think he's worse at getting his hopes up for a quick BFP than I am, if that's possible Wink

Glad you now know you've ovulated MrsW - get shagging! Grin

HippyJess · 08/12/2013 09:47

She's back. January bus for me!

MrsW0931 · 08/12/2013 11:48

Well if i wasnt confused before i bloody am now! Opk stick said positive yesterday.... Last night spotting...and today it seems like af is back, 8 days after last weeks one day bleed. So confused and annoyed after the excitement of the opk result yesterday to now think i have no chance of my xmas bfp :-(

RetroHippy · 08/12/2013 13:08

Need to vent! DH is showing serious lack of interest, lol!

Came off the pill a couple of months ago, had usual 'pill bleed' straight away, then next period 26 days later, but was very short, only two days and light. Then a week or so later I had very very light spotting for a couple if days and crippling backache. I thought that might be ovulation bleeding, or a bit of a remnant from the very light period.

We're using condoms, and haven't DTD that much anyway, but it's now been 36 days since and I'm going nuts! I'm constantly thinking I've come on, had light stomach cramps for a week or so, but stronger today, but it might be in my head. Ordered a load of internet cheapy hpts, they aren't due to arrive till next Monday, so if still no sign of AF I'm peeing!

I know there's a stupidly small chance of being pg, and it's most likely to be my cycle settling after coming off the pill, but I'm still wondering!

We're planning on ttc in the new year, if I was pg now it wouldn't be a disaster, but would fit better with work if we wait a couple of months who am I kidding, I'd be over the moon

Sick of waiting!

MrsW0931 · 08/12/2013 14:12

U sound as confused as me retrohippy! Altho my DH is as obsessed with me and as soon as i toldhim we had a positive opk he was dtd like mad yesterday! Bleeding/af or whatever it is has stopped again. And as gross as i think this is i have been watching the old cm and it went watery the last few days and now today is starting to look more like ewcm. But how when i was bleeding last night and thismorning? I just dont get whats happening. Confused

Sounds positive for you tho hippy, u should test to find out either way... And even if timing isnt great i know from experience that u will work around that and be fine.

RetroHippy · 08/12/2013 14:33

I've not been charting, temping or taking any notice of my CM. With the hpts I've also ordered 50 ovulation sticks and a basal thermometer. No idea what I'm doing with them, but it's a start!

Apologies for tmi, but I've been wearing my mooncup for work in case AF shows up, and when it comes to taking it out it feels much higher than usual, don't know if that means anything, haha! And CM seems pretty dry tbh.

Blah. and I don't know if the stomach cramps are real, or nerves, or in my head!!

I was going to wait till my tests arrived to test, but I'm thinking it's been long enough since my last period that a bfp should show up so if I got a bfn it would definitely be a bfn if you get me?

DH is just worried about money, and we're putting the house on the market in the New Year so ideally he'd like that all sewn up before we have to think about babies.

It'd be some impressive Super Sperm if I was pg though Xmas Grin

RetroHippy · 08/12/2013 15:10

Could the bleeding be ovulation bleeding? I've heard it can happen, and I think that's what mine was...

It's so bloody confusing!

MrsW0931 · 08/12/2013 15:38

Well it probably isnt but im already trying to convince myself it is - fed up already and coils only been out a few weeks! Lol. I have no patience at all.

KittyVonCatsington · 08/12/2013 18:05

Well, I have started an AF of some sorts today. Not sure if it is actual AF as only two weeks since last "PILL period" and stopping taking the Pill. Extremely sharp pains all day and a dark spotting like AF. Hoping it is body getting back to normal, but it hurts!

Mummyinpink1289 · 08/12/2013 22:06

Well, af disappeared again, another 12 random af 8 days after the last one. Wish my body would just sort itself out.

Ps i changed my name from mrsw. Scared someone will figure out who i am as have a few friends also ttc that may lurk on here! Probably just being paranoid i know...

Finnable · 09/12/2013 17:39

Hullo ladies...

Hope everyone's well, I'm driving myself potty this end with googling/looking at charts/reading scary statistics.

AF was due yesterday, I've POAS every morning for 4 days... nothing.

I'm utterly torn now between desperately hoping I've just OV'd late and am still in with a chance, and wishing AF would bloody well hurry up so I can drink cocktails!

Any advice/words of sympathy/slaps and pull-yourself-togethers gratefully received.

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 09/12/2013 19:25

No advice I am afraid, doing similar here. Can't decide when to test next-only cycle since coming off the pill was 33 days. Currently on Cd24 and have some tests which are supposed to work 4 days before AF is due so tempted to try tomorrow. Might need to order some internet cheapies at this rate Grin

Have had such a sore back for the last two days....though I do sit in a computer chairs for 12ish hours a day, so not too unusual....gah

RetroHippy · 09/12/2013 19:50

Day 37 and counting...

I'm not letting myself waste money on an expensive test because I know I'm not pg, so waiting till my amazon cheapies arrive.

Convinced myself that my nipple soreness is hormonal, not just leaping about at the gym! Have no symptoms at all. Not a sausage. So can't even fantasy symptom spot.

Humph Confused

KittyVonCatsington · 09/12/2013 20:05

Oh boy-where do I start?! What I thought was AF yesterday due to cramping and spotting might not be. I'm really only just over two weeks from my last 'pill period' so I thought it was just my body getting back to normal with a period out of place. How wrong I was Sad. I have been having non stop stabbing pains that are taking my breath away so to speak. Am doubling over in pain when I walk. Painkillers are not helping. I think I might be experiencing ovulation pain for the first time. Has anyone had this? Will it end?!

Finnable · 09/12/2013 20:13

Things and Retro you're both so much better than me, I used all the expensive ones, moved on to internet cheapies then ordered a second batch off Amazon. Beginning to worry about my mental health, as well as bank balance... Beware the cheapies - you'll think nothing of using them as they're inexpensive, and then POOF! The whole packet's gone. Might just be me and my crazy though! Xmas Wink

Kitty - that sounds awful! Could it be (whispers) implantation pains?
Either way, it sounds like you need a bath and sympathy! Sending Cake your way to see if that helps too!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 09/12/2013 20:29

Well I just POAS.. I think there is a VERY faint line. DH thinks my 'wish for a baby has affected my eyesight' Grin nothing like a reality check! Will wait a few days and pee again. Probably light reflecting/wishful thinking

RetroHippy · 09/12/2013 20:53

Ooh Things! A line is a line! Keeping FX for you Grin

I'm actually avoiding POAS as the longer I leave it, the longer I can fantasise that I'm pg and not just hormonally haywire!

KittyVonCatsington · 09/12/2013 20:59

Oh God! Now I'm Googling implantation pain. The symptoms are identical! How cruel is mother nature??!!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 09/12/2013 21:00

Ha, well done RetroHippy, very restrained of you! I think I was making it up tbh, I just want to be pregnant sooooo much!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 09/12/2013 21:02

I have a clear blue digi upstairs....sitting on my hands!

RetroHippy · 09/12/2013 21:31

First thing tomorrow morning! Save it for some good quality pee Grin

Lynsey14 · 09/12/2013 21:45

I'm 28!!! Hope that means I'm still young ;-) also first month ttc

Lynsey14 · 09/12/2013 21:47

Annnnnd just realised this thread is very long and was replying to first page....

Finnable · 09/12/2013 22:05

Things - I'm SO HOPING there was a line. I'll be logging on tomorrow to see - fingers x'd for you there was!

Retro avoiding POAS? Where do you buy that self-control, and can you send me some?

I'm convinced by now that as soon as you decide to TTC something goes 'twang!' in your head that makes everything work a little...strangely!

Kitty Don't Google. Nothing good ever came of Google. Xmas Wink

KittyVonCatsington · 09/12/2013 22:08

Ha ha ha, Lynsey14, you just made me chuckle for the first time today-even though my tummy hurts! Welcome, welcome!

Finnable, I...just...can't...stop...myself! Xmas Grin
