New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

Im still feeling constant nausea. And have woken up with a raging headache the past 2 days. infact iv had quite a few headaches over the last week. I would try and not get my hopes up but theyre already way up there! lol.

At least its friday Xmas Smile and i have my works Christmas party tonight so will enjoy the free wine while i can!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 06/12/2013 09:56

I am on cd21 and think 7dpo. POAS this morning as qas googling last night about early positives. BFN though of course! Feeling pretty sick and cramps and snotty cm continuing. Literally been to the loo and just noticed some spotting. Not sure what it is, last cycle was 33 days so hoping maybe implantation...most likely my body playong tricks on me though Sad

When you testing faerie?

QueenFaerie86 · 06/12/2013 10:09

If i haven't started by Monday I am going to test, I purposely haven't got any tests to hand so that I don't give in. I get hormone headaches 2 days before I'm due to start, have had this everytime for years, but nothing this time! Ok I may be clutching at straws now, I don't know how I'll cope with the anticipation if it takes months to conceive!

HippyJess · 06/12/2013 10:58

I gave in and ordered the NHS-style internet cheapie pee sticks (the ones you have to dunk, not pee onto...). AF was due yesterday but is so far a no-show. Boobs still sore. I'm exhausted. Still feel sick though now it's mainly in the mornings Hmm POAS yesterday with FMU was a BFN :(

I had an 'alien cycle' once last year that was crazy long but due to stress at the time; the longest I've had since has been 36. I'm on day 32, I think around 21dpo. Not sure though because I wasn't using OPKs.

Plan is to try to relax and use the cheapies to test once a day until AF comes. There's still no sign of her and I'd usually have cramping by now. Aaahhhhrrrgggg!

Finnable · 06/12/2013 11:52

Hiya all!

Just been having a catchup, had a few days off as I was going a little massively crazy symptom spotting!

Mrs W - have a fab night tonight!
Jess - this sounds REALLY promising - don't stress about the BFN's, you might have ovulated later than you thought therefore your hormones might not be high enough yet.

I'm due AF on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure she's on her way. I'm super-crampy and have been an emotional wreck/utter bitch all week so I think I might be out for December.

In more positive news, I intend to drink my weight in Prosecco if that is the case!

Baby dust to all, hope we get a BFP on here soon!

MrsW0931 · 06/12/2013 12:13

Hi Finnabel, i too am crazy symptom spotting - less than 2 weeks after my coil has been out. Now that is crazy. ha. i cannot concentrate at work - i have a quote open on one screen and mumsnet on the other. I have been working on this quote for 3 hours and im not getting anywhere. good job im IT support and know how to delete my web history on here!
stil no idea what my half day bleed was - AF or not. DH is getting a bit frustrated not knowing where we are in my cycle, cant join in on the 2WW etc cos i have no frickin idea where i am.

QueenFaerie86 · 06/12/2013 13:35

When is it best to test? A few days after your were due on? I didn't test with my first dc until I was two weeks late because I didn't realise I was so late!

MrsW0931 · 06/12/2013 13:41

if my half day bleed was my AF last week then officaially my next AF is due the 28th according to my maybe baby app not that i check my app daily at all!but like hell am i going to be able to wait until then to test! lol. Il be testing christmas eve and if its by some mirical postivie il buy an expensive test for my DH's present on xmas morning to tell him :-)

HippyJess · 06/12/2013 14:32

That's right QueenFaerie, then you should definitely get a correct answer!

I have decided in my infinite wisdom that I'm actually running a week behind schedule cycle-wise. Because I can be irregular, I could in fact have ovulated 5-7 days after I thought I did. Which would make me only 9dpo-ish and explain all the symptoms but BFNs. This decision will allow me to keep my spirits up in the face of zero AF and continuous BFNs...

HippyJess · 06/12/2013 14:33

Also, not sure if half a day would count MrsW - but it's very weird that our bodies are misbehaving considering we were both on non-hormonal contraception! They shouldn't have gone funny at all Hmm

MrsW0931 · 06/12/2013 14:52

i did have the hormonal one Jess, the mirena - so my periods stopped for over 2 years. Just hope it was so i can get tracking cycles etc..

HippyJess · 06/12/2013 14:54

Ah, just my body being weird then. That seems normal Wink

This is a whole thread of frustration at the moment it seems!

Finnable · 06/12/2013 22:52

Jess - that sounds logical re: ovulation days, keep holding on, you might be surprised yet!

MrsW - I "lol'd" at the image of you erasing your internet MN history in work, I love it!

Anyone tracking symptoms/days etc, I've been using ovufriend, I find it a little easier to understand than fertilityfriend, and seeing everything charted in front of me helps me feel a little more in control! It even tells you when to test etc...

Not that there's any control to be had, but it helps my control-freaky nature!

toots123 · 07/12/2013 07:29

Well my AF just made an appearance! Woo!! It arrived 5 weeks after my pill withdrawal bleed so not too bad.

So December will be our first proper month of trying (and knowing we might actually make a baby!)

Never been so excited about my af ever haha!!!
Already worked out if we conceive when the baby would be due (3days before my birthday! )

Happy Saturday girls Wink

HippyJess · 07/12/2013 08:39

Morning! :)

Woke up this morning with my boobs not hurting so I knew it was over! Just crazy hormones this month it seems. AF has started in her usual initial form.

DP managed to make me not-upset because he's a miracle worker. Here's to LOTS of SWI over Christmas for us, toots Grin

QueenFaerie86 · 07/12/2013 13:43

Still no sign of AF! Feel unbelievably tired, had to nap yesterday and I may have to have a snooze now too. The wait is torture!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 07/12/2013 14:40

God, faerie I know exactly what you mean. 8dpo today I think...extreme thirst/dry mouth, headache, nausea backache and snotty cm. The only I trust not to be imagining is the cm Sad

FX AF doesn't turn up for you and you get the first BFP on the thread.

I'm in a quandry as going to an xmas party tonight...advice I've had on another thread is to behave as normal but don't go OTT on the alcohol. So difficult to know the right thing to do Sad

toots123 · 07/12/2013 15:58

Yes I know Jess!!! Wine in hand right now!
Will you be watching the alcohol in take over Christmas? We might be in the 2ww by then (boo)

QueenFaerie86 · 07/12/2013 16:22

I've just seen slightly pink discharge so think this must be AF starting :( oh crap!

Hibou7688 · 07/12/2013 19:44

Currently on cd35..still no AF. Normally arrives on day 28 or 29. Have poas (cheapy ones) earlier in the week and negative. But whyyyy is af not being her regular self?? I've not even felt crampy as I usually do the day before.

Haven't been actively trying the last month, barely dtd at all to be honest. I know it only takes the once but I'm doubting that I could be pregnant. Do I poas again or wait it out?!

nzkitsune · 07/12/2013 19:51

We are starting ttc as well, both of us are 25. I am SO nervous. I am a bit of a worry wort so I am freakin out that it will be such a huge change and I won't know what to do!

nzkitsune · 07/12/2013 19:53

P.S. I am totally new here - I have little to no support locally, and thought it would be a good idea to get on the forums... so I am reaching out to the Mums online!! Eeeee!

MrsW0931 · 07/12/2013 20:20

Welcome nzkit! Im in my first month too, finally got a positive result from my cheapo ovulation sticks today :-) i spent all day randomly smiling over the buzz of finally getting somewhere with them sticks! We also dtd twice last night and 3 times today just to celebrate lol.

One of my friends has told me a few months back that shes ttc her first but she doesnt know iv had my coil out 2 weeks ago and ttc myself now as i had planned to leave it a year or so from now so im really praying she gets pregnant before me as i know shes the type of person to be really pissed off and itl put a huge wedge in our friendship which i dont want. So awkward, i wish we could be trying together but DH doesnt want me to tell anyone which is fair enough but makes me feel like im being sneeky by not telling her. Does any of that make sense? Have you told anyone youre trying?

nzkitsune · 08/12/2013 01:27

Haha that's awesome that you got a positive result with the ovulation sticks!! We aren't using them yet, just trying to go off CM. We'll see how things track though and if no progress in a few months I'll switch to using the ovulation/temp tracker stuff.

Oooooh that kind of thing could get tricky with your friend.. I hope she gets pregnant first too!! I have a few friends (and a sister-in-law) with kids already, but none of my friends are TTC as far as I know!

I haven't told anyone except my Mum and a couple of good friends. I really don't want the pressure of people asking "so how's it going?" haha. That makes sense about how you feel 'sneaky' not telling your friend. I definitely think you have good reasons though for not telling her. You can just tell all of us here instead!! :-)

ReginaFelange22 · 08/12/2013 01:28

MrsW I have the same feeling! Not told anyone, feel like I could talk to someone but I know I can't! My friends have been discussing babies and marriage, none of us are engaged or have/had even been thinking about babies, at least to my knowledge.

I have a friend who will prob go crazy if she isn't the first to be pregnant/married and I just wish it would happen now rather than later! Want to blurt it out to my mum and dad and even my OHs parents but I know it will just add pressure of the questions from them all the time. Something I can do without!!

So glad I can vent on here!!
