Hi, I'm a newbie here and ttc newbie as well! I'm looking for buddies to share experience. Who's with me?Experts tips always welcome
We've been ttc for fe months, before NTNP. However now I'm starting to feel the pressure for BFP.

Arrgghh, confused now. Bought myself another pack of the digi CB OPK sticks as I am about to finish the first 10. Have had the flashing smiley for 8 days now and am on cd21. but, i got tempted to test tonight (yes, stupid I know). So I used my last stick from the old pack and .....another flashing smiley. That would have been fine, BUT, then I decided to test again with the new pack, using the new digi bit and it was just a plain circle :( I POAC so it was the same thing I was testing.

think I read somewhere it has a faint circle every single time on the first use but now I'm a bit confused!! So shouldn't have bothered wasting two sticks. Hmmmm please fixed smiley fairy, may you bring us a fixed smiley tomorrow please, I am becoming obsessed!

Hi all, am a late joiner to the Aug bus - still trying to figure out all the acronyms! I'm 5 dpo and starting to get totally obsessed again and kicking myself for not turning down ALL our social engagements in the middle of the cycle to focus more on DTD! Crazy huh!
I had a month off opk's last month because the different brands / different rules / times of day thing was driving me Crazy! IMO the most expensive ones were the worst - I got about 10 days of flashing face then ran out of sticks and had to buy a different brand which just said "no" - so frustrating!
Good luck to us all - fingers crossed for this month!

Hi Daisy glad it's not just me finding the OPKs a minefield! Good luck on the August bus, I've been stalking that thread, think I'm on the September one, could be October at this rate lol :)

From what I read, the clearblue OPKS give you a blank circle on the first stick in a new pack and you then get flash or fixed smileys when your hormone increases but it takes your first reading as a sort of base line to test from... I think ill end up on the October bus...but for next year at this rate!!!

One thing to report, it's FIXED!!!!!! [Grin] the smiley face is fixed!! soooooo pleased, just need to DTD tonight.....lots, hope it won't be too late!

Ah, well good luck for tomorrow woodwaj hope it fixes for you, keep me posted. I definitely read about someone who had the flashy for 14 days so hang in there and it will come :)

Hi Daisychain44 (waving!) we are cycle buddies! I'm 7dpo so going through the 2ww (slowly).

There is always a glimmer of hope but it's weird because last month i was sure something was happening then was gutted when AF turned up...this month i really don't think anything has happened and just keep focusing on my next cycle. It'll be our first wedding anniversary during my fertile bit and we're away for that next month so hoping there will be lots of opportunity for DTD (although if BFP fancies turning up before then that would be very much appreciated!)

Hi onelife yes, lots of DTDing last night Will have another crack at it tonight too! Have joined the September bus as I actually have stats now. AF BDP due 4/5th September so we'll see, but I'll be on hols then do don't know whether to test before or after hols (if AF doesn't arrive of course). Might fancy a or two on holiday.

Good luck this cycle, you never know it may happen before your anniversary trip, have my fingers crossed for you :)

Hi Vicky and onelife No fixed for me again!! But I like both of your positivity! Plus its a long weekend so no work for 3 days!!! Get some cheap tests and take them on holiday? Or hopefully it could be a nice surprise for when you come back?

Hi onelife my BFP is due on 5th but I'm away from 4th for a full 3 weeks so I will test on 4th I think and see what happens, if nothing i may take some tests with me in case AF doesn't show up ......but it's first cycle so I am fully expecting AF to arrive on 5th. BFP would be lovely though :)

How is the 2ww going for you? When are you due to test?

3 weeks holiday? How lovely, have fun Not at all jealous Sounds like a plan, but don't be disheartened if you get a BFN before you go as its not over til AF starts singing! On another thread diamonds got a BFP day 16dpo, but BFNs days 11&12 so early testing not always helpful but understand you wanting to do it before your hols. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you And if it doesnt go your way this month then sounds like you'll be on holiday for your fertile bit so lots more chance to dtd?

Af due Fri, was planning to wait til Mon to test but we're going to a festival this weekend so think I'd like to know if poss so unless af beats me to it i'm all set to poas on Fri! 2ww initially painfully slow but had lovely few days so feeling pretty chilled at mo.

OPK experts...would you be so kind to take a quick look at my profile pic and let me know if you think the OPK line is dark enough to be postive?

I don't think it is myself, but I've read through some threads that imply it could be! I am supposed to ovulate today (according to the app on my phone), but I don't think this OPK is positive. Granted I POAS at about 12PM my time. Will try again later in the day as well.

Just curious for now!

I know it's probably way too early to test on 4th but unless AF arrives before that I'm going to test before we leave for our holiday, mainly so I know if I can have cocktails on holiday or not! I will take some with me though as know 13 dpo will be super early....besides I am 99% certain AF will get me. But, you're right, we should be away over the fertile bit for next month so could be worse.
