Good luck for tomorrow One. Bloody AF. She's a cow. Will be thinking of you at your appointment xThanks

woodwaj · 18/03/2014 21:36

Hi all. I will catch up properly tomorrow but I hope it goes well tomorrow. Just a heads up on our first appointment they asked loads of background questions like cycle info any previous kids from either partner all basics but I found I need to write my cycles down to remember!!

Vickyvix · 19/03/2014 09:53

Ah hope I'm not too late for that group hug?

Best of luck for today one hope your appointment goes well. So sorry AF got you :( let us know how it goes.

How are you getting on broody?

Still no blood results here, have agreed with DH that if nothing by Friday I will call then, we both have day off work so he will be with me when I call just in case it's bad news.....and that gives enough time for us to get the results before our consultant appointment on Tuesday

onelifeonechance · 19/03/2014 15:17

Thanks all, I'm back! And i survived!

The consultant was lovely, spoke ridiculously quickly so it was hard to keep up He read through our medical info form. Said he wasn't worried by dh's SA results as both his count and motility are fine, doesn't even want to repeat it. Wants to check my tubes so I've got to have a hycosy (where they squirt dye up your doodaa to check the patency of your tubes) the appointment will be sent out in the next six weeks. If all ok then he recommends IUI, which can start after we've been trying for two years (which with what I told the dr would mean Dec) But he remains confident we still stand a good chance of conceiving naturally. Then I had to have swabs, a TV ultrasound scan (even with af, eek) and blood tests for rubella&day 2 bloods. The scan shows uterus all ok but was bit worried what the nurse said about the number of follicles, she didn't seem overly happy and when I asked about the number she just said it 'wasn't bad' but that they'd look further at the hycosy Hmm Other than that though seemed to go ok and feel reassured about his reactions to dh results, he didn't seem bothered at all.

The best bit was when he said he didn't want to repeat dh's SA as he 'didn't want to put him though it' then proceeded to tell me in detail about the TV scan and hycosy. Fine to stick everything under the sun up me then!!!! Lol. He was a nice chap though and if we do need him later on I liked him and would trust his opinion.

Just for info I asked about his thoughts on alcohol, he did not say an outright ban was required and agreed moderation was the key (told you he was nice!) and he said no need for pillows under bums or timing sex, just eod around ov or when you fancy.

So I suppose it's back to waiting for the next appt. but I am determined to enjoy this month, birthday bubbles and good friends wedding Smile

Wood, have you had a hycosy?? Any thoughts on the matter?

Hope everyone else is ok. Broody, what's occurring? V, fx for Friday, sounds a good plan.

Vickyvix · 19/03/2014 16:07

Hey one thanks for updating us. It sounds like you're appointment went really well, glad the man was nice, makes such a difference.

I'm not very clued up on follicles but good that they will be able to tell more from the dye thing. Also very good news that he is not worried about your DHs results - hope your DH is feeling good about that.

It must be very reassuring that he thinks you will conceive naturally before the need for any intervention but handy to know that if you don't have any joy (which I am sure you will) then you could receive treatment at the end of this year, so all in all very positive.

I am absolutely no expert at any of this but I really think there might be something in the approach that gives DH a rest for a few days right before ov and then DTD day before, day of and day after ov. I have read that this gives the swimmers a chance to replenish....think you did try this before but might be worth another go this month in tandem with your monitor thingy to pin point exact ov time.

When's your birthday? I would so love some bubbles right now :)

I also love a good wedding but don't have one until October.

woodwaj · 19/03/2014 21:25

Right looks like I am really behind!!

Vicky, sounds really good that mini V is making your stomach move, and I really think its good that you haven't heard anything as well. Also im jealous of your Friday off!!!

As to having a "feeling" about being pregnant, I certainly felt like I would be infertile and I was right, but I can imagine every woman feels like that until they get their BFP.

I am on CD 10 today Onelife, so I think I will start SMEP tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a bit more enthusiasm than last month!!

Also really pleased to hear about your appointment. My consultant is lovely and explains everything and it just takes all the worry away from you! hopefully what he has said has put some confidence in your DH, I think sometimes men need the boost more than us. And your right its always us that get poked and prodded. Good job we are so tough!! they have never mentioned a Hycosy to me, Im not sure why though. Maybe ill mention it next time Im sure it wouldn't do any harm to have that box ticked off as ok, My next appointment is now officially less than a month away (As of yesterday!!) I have no idea what will be discussed at this one. And when is your birthday? Mine is also coming up soon, I don't want to be another year older and still not Pg, its depressing haha

Have you made a docs appointment Broody? Your body is really being mean on you this month. And remember little white lies are ok (e.g Yes my cycles are like clockwork and this is VERY unusual.)

onelifeonechance · 19/03/2014 21:36

It's my birthday eve right now, big day tmrw Grin

Glad you've got a nice consultant too Wood, really does make a big difference. Yes have an ask about the hycosy, see what they say, can't hurt. Not much longer to wait for your appt now either. Enjoy smepping and fx you can ring the fertility clinic and tell them thank you ever so much but I won't be needing your appt now thank you please Grin

Thanks V, I'll have some bubbles for you if you give little V a pat from me Smile

woodwaj · 19/03/2014 21:49

Ooooh you kept that one quiet!! Have a fantastic day, I hope you get spoilt!!

If that's the case I will be phoning them for an early scan which would be nice (hopefully)

Happy Birthday One!! Wine That all sounds v. positive about your appointment. I'm so pleased for you. He does sound super lovely. Good to know re alcohol and dtd eod around Ov.

but TYPICAL man don't want to put your dh through it but you have to have a whole host of things done to you! ha.

Vicky aw you can feel her move? ? amazing. I so long for that day!

Well it's dull here CD 44 no af. I'm bored of writing it! Going to Docs next week Wood. Yep totally up for white lies wood my cycles are fairly very regular and this has never happened before. I'm now 11 days late and according to my app should be approaching my fertile period if AF had been on time. Still getting loads of CM kept thinking aF had finally arrived yesterday as was so wet! Sorry tmi.

My body is very confusing! !

Vickyvix · 20/03/2014 09:10

Woo hoo Happy Birthday one Wine Cake

Have given Mini V a pat from you do hope you enjoyed those bubbles ;)

Have a fab day today.

Ah broody I really feel for you, glad you've got a GP appointment. It's definitely odd that you have lots of CM but still a BFN. Agree that it's just fine to tell a few white lies to get some answers.

NurseyJay · 20/03/2014 09:51

Happy birthday one

I switched period/ovulation trackin app and realised it wasnt quite set up right... Doesn't really matter as me and DH DTD on the days it said I was most fertile anyway.. :)

However it turns out that I am now 8dpo... Yesterday I had a lil bit of light blood/discharge when I wiped (tmi, sorry)... I don't usually get spotting this early before AF so I'm wondering if I could be pregnant and it's implantation bleeding or i'm just paying much more attention to EVERYTHING my body does. Lol.

Anyone else in their 2ww n obsessing over every slight twinge, mood, etc?! Lol.

woodwaj · 20/03/2014 16:35

Thats a good sign nursey try and hold out a bit longer before testing. I have not even ov'd yet so no where near the 2ww

Broody have you tried any opks recently? ?

onelifeonechance · 20/03/2014 17:18

Thanks for my birthday wishes all, especially my bday candles Smile I have devoured my body weight in Lindor choccy balls and I am embracing my birthday bubbles Grin

Fx nursey and Broods I'm still v hopeful for you

Vickyvix · 20/03/2014 18:04

Glad you're having a good day one

That could be a good sign nursey see if you can make it to at least 12dpo (ideally 14dpo) and then maybe do a test, if you test early use something sensitive like a FRER. Good luck

Right, the weekend starts here for me. Off to give Mini V's room another coat of paint before DH gets home, so pleased I have a day off tomorrow :)

broodysnoopstie · 20/03/2014 19:27

wood no I haven't. . Should I?? Someone on the march bus who's also late with a bfn has just been to doc and Been told it's not that rare for hpt to not show positive and has sent her for bloods! eeek I've got my hopes up!!!

broodysnoopstie · 20/03/2014 19:28

nursey I obsess over everything too. V. normal in this 2ww ttc madness! Smile

woodwaj · 20/03/2014 19:30

Do you normally do opks? Would be interesting to see what the results say.

What day is your docs appointment?

broodysnoopstie · 20/03/2014 20:16

I do Yep. I've just done one it is negative along with the ic hpt! Doc is on wed x

NurseyJay · 21/03/2014 00:29

Thanks for the luck everyone... i'm keeping everything crossed but think it might be spotting prior to AF... Tryin 2 keep positive but it's difficult :(

woodwaj · 21/03/2014 07:23

Hold out for the docs but if now is when you would normally ov maybe keep doing them

Nursey if its not normal for you its a good sign.

Enjoy your day off vicky. Super jealous

Vickyvix · 21/03/2014 10:08

Woo hoo, I called for my blood results and all is fine, I tested negative for both infections so that at least rules that out as a reason for mini V being a bit small. What a relief.

Off out for a giant breakfast with DH now to build some stamina for pushchair shopping :)

broody glad you have an appt booked, I agree with wood that maybe you should keep doing the OPKs and if it is around your normal ov time. Fingers firmly crossed for you

onelifeonechance · 21/03/2014 17:34

Whoop whoop, high five Vix Grin fab news. Hope the pushchair shopping went well.

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!!!!

NurseyJay · 21/03/2014 23:29

Wood I do get spotting but not usually a week before AF; usually a few days... still crossing my fingers tho...
Hope all's good with u...

broodysnoopstie · 22/03/2014 15:43

Vicky!!!! Wooooooooop! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

So happy for you and mini V!

Still no AF here, might not be able to get to Doc appt now, work is crazy and I just don't think I can get there so think Ill have to cancel and reschedule, if poss.. But I work varying antisocial hours and for next 2/3 weeks I'll be doing 9am til 11pm.. But then will move to evenings only for a while...

Told DP he said we'll just have to be patient then.. And see what happens!... The wait might kill me... dramatic

Hope you are all having lovely weekends x

NurseyJay · 22/03/2014 17:58

Dammit... AF's reared her ugly head... thats me out for another month :(
Hope ur all more successful!
