Thanks all, I'm back! And i survived!
The consultant was lovely, spoke ridiculously quickly so it was hard to keep up He read through our medical info form. Said he wasn't worried by dh's SA results as both his count and motility are fine, doesn't even want to repeat it. Wants to check my tubes so I've got to have a hycosy (where they squirt dye up your doodaa to check the patency of your tubes) the appointment will be sent out in the next six weeks. If all ok then he recommends IUI, which can start after we've been trying for two years (which with what I told the dr would mean Dec) But he remains confident we still stand a good chance of conceiving naturally. Then I had to have swabs, a TV ultrasound scan (even with af, eek) and blood tests for rubella&day 2 bloods. The scan shows uterus all ok but was bit worried what the nurse said about the number of follicles, she didn't seem overly happy and when I asked about the number she just said it 'wasn't bad' but that they'd look further at the hycosy
Other than that though seemed to go ok and feel reassured about his reactions to dh results, he didn't seem bothered at all.
The best bit was when he said he didn't want to repeat dh's SA as he 'didn't want to put him though it' then proceeded to tell me in detail about the TV scan and hycosy. Fine to stick everything under the sun up me then!!!! Lol. He was a nice chap though and if we do need him later on I liked him and would trust his opinion.
Just for info I asked about his thoughts on alcohol, he did not say an outright ban was required and agreed moderation was the key (told you he was nice!) and he said no need for pillows under bums or timing sex, just eod around ov or when you fancy.
So I suppose it's back to waiting for the next appt. but I am determined to enjoy this month, birthday bubbles and good friends wedding
Wood, have you had a hycosy?? Any thoughts on the matter?
Hope everyone else is ok. Broody, what's occurring? V, fx for Friday, sounds a good plan.
