Just posting a hello as I lost the thread and had to find it again!

Hope everyone is well and waiting on news of your referral letter one x

broodysnoopstie · 13/02/2014 12:28

Hello just checking in sorry for Radio silence RL has been busy! Dp is trying to be all round healthy including cutting right down on alcohol so we will see. One I'm so sorry about your news from Dic, thinking of you and hoping you and your dp are getting support and answers you need. Lots of love and positive thoughts x

woodwaj · 13/02/2014 20:54

Was it easy for him to cut back? I have started opks again today cd 10 for me! Where is your cycle broody?

Vickyvix · 14/02/2014 14:00

Hi Ladies, sorry have been away for so long. We're on baby moon and I have only just found wifi.

one I'm really sorry to hear about your DH, I really hope he's ok. But it does sound logical that 1% out of high sperm count is better than 1% of low. I am gob smacked by the normal is 4% statistic, that's just crazy.

In a way it's good that you have got a diagnosis and can now focus on the problem and how to fix it. My very good friend has been struggling for a diagnosis for 4 years and still no joy.

I'm going to have a read up on stuff about it, but really hoping that the treatment (which the NHS will hopefully throw your way) will be as simple as selecting the 1% of good swimmers and sending them in the right direction if you know what I mean.

wood let us know how that cake went, sounds divine. We're abroad and I have no easy source of obtaining chocolate, there is one dairy milk in the mini bar but it's quite expensive and so far I've managed to keep my hands off it!

woodwaj · 14/02/2014 17:26

Sounds lovely vicky, where are you?

The cakes were nice but if there's a chocolate shortage I prob wouldnt think about those!

Have you still not had your refer letter yet one?

Happy valentines day ladies!!

onelifeonechance · 14/02/2014 18:50

No it's not come through yet. I rang the GPs today who confirmed they had sent it the day we saw him (last Fri) and they told me who we've been referred to so advised I ring that consultants secretary end of next week if not heard to enquire.

How's the opks going wood? Picking anything up?? You're in the nice part of your cycle for valentines day, enjoy Wink

Happy hols V, yes where are you? You like your hols don't you, lucky thing!! (Says me whose just booked our week away by the coast at Easter!!!)

Hope RL is calming down for the weekend Broody, enjoy your first valentines day as an engaged lady!! Grin

Thanks girls for your lovely messages, you are wonderful and a real support. I'm doing ok, have my moments, but just gotta get on with these things so bring it on!! Just want my letter now!!!!

Choccy mouse chilling in the fridge, moussaka in the oven, nom nom, enjoy your eves, what you all up to??

woodwaj · 15/02/2014 09:37

I cant see your letter being much longer now!

Hardly any lines on my opks yet but its still early in my cycle yet I will test again this afternoon! Running low on tests so I hope amazon hurry up!

We stayed in last night. I came home from work to chocolates takeaway and my fave thing...a tidy house!! Hes good when he wants to be. I pigged out too. We've both been doing illegalslimming world (I bought the pack off ebay!) Ive not got much to loose but it seems to help people with pcos so im giving it a go! Doing well so far half a stone in 2 weeks!

What did everyone else do last night ?

broodysnoopstie · 16/02/2014 10:44

Morning!

I'm on CD12 wood opking and dtd wouldn't expect a positive until Cd 15/16 though.. one think of you every time I check my post.. fingers crossed it arrives this week.. The wait must be agony.

In terms of DP it isn't easy for him to cut down as it's sort of a habit and all his friends are drinkers but he really wants to...when we talked he said "I would do anything to have a child"... Blush god love him. I know he's totally on board and is trying and that means the world to me and I figure if we both try and cut down and be healthy for the next 4 or 5 months it is more realistic than cutting it out completely and we can go to gp if no BFP and say hand on heart we've tried our best..

In other news my sister gave me pregnacare vits yesterday. . apparently someone she works with brought them into the staff room saying if anyone knows anyone who is ttc take these.. I won't be needing them anymore I'm divorcing my b***d husband!! Shock my sister said she made her a cup of tea talked to her all about it and swiped the vits for me! Smile

Had a lovely V Day. We stayed in too and had the waitrose £20 meal for 2.
It felt very romantic as DP had laid table and lit candles etc. Small Things but big for him Smile

xxxx

woodwaj · 16/02/2014 13:04

Im on day 13 so very similar cycle this month for us! Ooh imagine 2 bfps on the same day!

Good news about getting some free vitamins but bad luck for the woman giving them away. Looks like she didnt have a good valentines day!!

Your other half sounds lovely hes really going for it I think its times like these when our men really surprise us!

Vickyvix · 17/02/2014 05:26

Sounds like you were all treated on valentines day, it's great to hear the guys were doing their bit. We had a lovely romantic dinner too.

one really hope Monday's post brings your referral letter so you can start to get things rolling. Must be horrible waiting.

broody it sounds like your man is totally committed to trying for a baby which is just lovely, I really hope your health kick does the trick for you. Sorry if I missed it up thread, but have you got any thoughts on when you want to get married? Have you thrown yourself into wedding planning yet? I absolutely loved planning ours and am still a bit sad we can't do it all again!

Baby moon destination is the Maldives and I can thoroughly recommend it! We stopped in Dubai to visit friends for a few days and then headed here for a week, I am sad we have to come home in a couple of days though. It's beautiful and relaxing which is just what we needed......but no bloody chocolate!! :) instead I have developed a slight addiction to kiwi fruit.

one .....you spotted me, I am a bit of a holiday addict! Apart from a long weekend in Belfast this is the last one booked for a good while now though. We've spent about 8 years always having something booked to look forward to, but we're going to have to break the chain. You can't book for holidays including baby as they all want to know the name and date of birth....humph ;)

broodysnoopstie · 17/02/2014 08:45

Wood You are totally right just when you think you've got them totally sussed they surprise you. I left for work before him this morning and as I was getting ready he opened one eye to check if I was ovulating yet! I said no and he went oh ok then and went back to sleep! haha

vicky the maldives???? oh my goodness how wonderful. I'm not at all jealous!! Nothing wrong with being a holiday addict.. and I guess even though it's a bit rubbish not to be able to book anymore it's for an amazing reason so that'll make it easier!

As for wedding planning I've been totally wrapped up in it looking at venues, deciding on a theme, endless googling and pinterest looking! Very fun Smile we think it will be July next year that we do it.

xx

Vickyvix · 17/02/2014 13:24

Ooh a summer wedding, how lovely :) enjoy every second of the planning, the googling and the pinteresting, it's so much fun.

I remember loving checking out venues and even if it was somewhere way to extravagant and not right For us i still liked being shown around and asking lots of questions. My record was 8 places in a single weekend!! I basically looked at everything and got a short list for hubby to view......I think he secretly enjoyed it too.

Great to hear your man is keeping track of potential ovulation time too, you must have picked a good'n. I tried to have a conversation with DH today about when we actually conceived and within 30 seconds he was looking at the Winter Olympics on his ipad! Useless. But, he did get v excited about buying baby's first toy this afternoon which he selected.......a bright yellow toy fish with green fins, cute :)

woodwaj · 18/02/2014 16:52

I can imagine he was only slightly pleased at the extra Monday morning lie in Broody!!

Oooh first toy, I bet that was fun, have you been clothes shopping yet?

No letter yet one??

woodwaj · 20/02/2014 21:10

You are all too quiet this week stop with the holidays! Im worrying that im not going to ovulate this month. I have a 'feeling' day 17 and hardly even getting faint lines on the opks all week I would expect them to be getting darker by now. Boo. When are you expecting to ovulate broody?

Still waiting on news of your letter one!!

onelifeonechance · 21/02/2014 10:37

Hi all,

Sorry for being quiet, no holidays here just stupidly busy work!!!

No letter yet, humph! Just tried ringing but no reply and don't want to leave a message first time, want to speak to a human! Got a feeling the secretary will be off on hol as it's half term so think will have to wait it out til next week anyway. Just love to know when it's going to be so can start the countdown. Realised it's only been two weeks from seeing gp, sheesh this is going to be a slow process.

Af due today, not arrived yet but it's usually the kiss of death when I write that so let's see. Had few cramps too so not holding my breath. But who knows, you've got to be in it to win it!

Fx for you wood, has ov always been detected by opks for your other cycles? Do you get other signs too, Ewcm etc? I still have never felt ov pains, never sure what people mean by cramps etc. I occasionally get a twinge but it's gone as soon as I think about it!

Good luck to you too broody, fx lucky 7 for you!

V, we're all totally jealous, enjoy however long you've got left!!

Vickyvix · 21/02/2014 17:20

Hi all, I'm back :( but it's nice to be able to have the internet back on my phone so I can chat away to you lot.

one that sucks that you still don't have your letter. Get what you mean about talking to someone first time, I'd call them back first thing Monday and see if you can get a process update.

wood does your ov day always fall around same time? Mine varies quite a lot, by around 5/6 days from what I could ever work out!

Yes, I have been clothes shopping (very naughty!) I bought two Cath Kidson baby grows at Heathrow - DH told me off! And yesterday I bought some sleep suits and a couple more outfits in John Lewis which I have hidden ;)

Well, this will make you all laugh for a Friday afternoon....got back from hols on Thursday night to find new car wasn't where I left it. Was about to report to police when suddenly remembered I forgot to renew the parking permit! Checked online and it had expired on 7th Feb. called the TRACE system to see if car had been towed away...it had :(

Spent yesterday trying to get it back, had a real issue because the vehicle registration doc does not match the plates on the car, because I am half way through transferring a private plate to it (try explaining that to the muppet at the car pound)....and then was told it had FOUR parking fines which I had to settle, plus the pound release fee (£200) plus a storage charge for each day it had been there (£80). To cut a very long story short it took me 2 hours to convince them to release my car, luckily they only made me pay one parking ticket so after parting with £335 I got my car back.

I parked it back at home, went straight online and renewed permit.......only to find when I got home last night it had a bloody parking ticket!!!! I kid you not, I had made a typo in the vehicle reg when I did the online renewal and so it wasn't valid.

How can one person be so stupid???!!!!! And to top it all off, today I fell over. I really hope the bad things happen in there's thing is right and that's my lot. I am going to curl up on the sofa all weekend.

Happy weekends all :)

woodwaj · 21/02/2014 19:29

I cant believe you haven't got your letter, what a jip! Its weird the whole thing is slow yet time flies and the months roll by. Im actually not sure on how long its been now...17 or 18 months I've lost count!!

Any sign of AF yet?

Whenever I have used OPKs it has picked it up, I usually know because I get a lot of EWCM but nothing this month and still a negative result today. I don't think ive had Ov pains befoe either!

Vicky - glad your back! Normally the medication makes me ov early but around the last few days seems about normal. Im also not in the mood for DTD this week I just cant be bothered!!

I bet the Cath Kidston grows are so cute, but expensive I can imagine why DH had a moan! Like we listen though ;)

Your car fiasco sounds a right nightmare!! However I really hope you and miniV are ok after your fall!

onelifeonechance · 22/02/2014 16:58

Af got me. Started to get teensy bit excited yst as it didn't come all eve. Went out for a meal with friends last night and I knew it hadn't started, got home just after midnight and there it started, teasing me by being all of 10minutes late. Onto cycle 10 it is. Wood you are so right about how it seems to go slow but yet flies, can't believe I'm into double figures already.

Managed to get the secretary yst (think she prob got fed up of the phone ringing every 5mins and decided to do her job and actually answer the thing!!) She confirmed our referral had been received 17/2/14 (don't believe her, sure it got there earlier and that's just the date it's finally been inputted onto the system, know how these things work!!) and we're on the waiting list but not yet been allocated an appointment. She said there are 'capacity issues' but they are trying to put on extra clinics, said we should hopefully be seen by end of March and should get letter in next few weeks. So we'll see. Feeling we're not going to get there without some help so just got to wait for that now.

Wood, I'm very much hoping for a shed load of Ewcm for you!!!! Hope it shows up. And hope you find your mojo, know it's hard, I'm feeling like meh about thought of going for it again this month, it gets harder to try when you just keep feeling like it's not going to work. But know we'll never get anywhere if we don't do the actual sex part, never mind me going to reflexology and dh being on vits, suppose we have to actually dtd too or we're never going to get there!!

Vicky, that is an awful story about your car, what a nightmare. I had to pay £125 once to get my car declamped and that still hurts now, so I feel your pain I really do. And hope you're ok after your fall, take it easy (maybe you should suggest you need another holiday to dh after all this drama on your return?!)

Out with friends for food tonight, very much looking forward to wine, sod it! If I can't have a baby right now I'm sure as hell going to enjoy all the things I won't be able to do when I finally do get there. Have lovely evenings whatever you're up to x

woodwaj · 22/02/2014 17:07

10 minutes is stupid!! I hate how AF toys with us. I honestly think end of march is pretty good just rubbish there is no specific date yet.

We thought about it last night and its cycle 17 this time round. Makes me yawn just thinking about it.

about to do an ov stick so im sure ill have another negative within 10 minutes!!

same here one my friends bday today and ive got a large bottle of southern comfort at the ready! Have a good night x

onelifeonechance · 22/02/2014 17:14

Thatta girl, bottoms up (maybe in both senses?!) ha ha Grin Enjoy your night x

woodwaj · 22/02/2014 17:43

I tried to upload a pic and it wont let me stupid high quality phone haha

onelifeonechance · 24/02/2014 08:27

Did you have a good night on Sat wood? Hope so. Any positive opks to report?

woodwaj · 24/02/2014 12:26

Saturday and sunday were a lot darker im unsure if they were positives though im on day 20 now though so unlikely to have more. I did have a good night but im still a bit rough so I wish I hadnt!! How was your night?

onelifeonechance · 27/02/2014 07:59

Hope the roughness has gone away now wood Smile Had a good night too thanks, was full of yummy food by the end of the eve so I was happy! This week is flying!! It's almost our favourite day tmrw ladies, plans for the weekend? We've got a good friend coming to stay...so more yummy food for me, yeay! STILL no letter, meh. Hope you're all ok

woodwaj · 27/02/2014 18:47
