Gilly, I never got a positive OPK this month, but got a BFP! We did keep DTD longer this month which might have helped things along!!

Although its a shame as me and DH have hardly dtd at all this month.
Will try and keep it up!

Otherwise it's a lesson to be learnt for future months.. Do OPKs but don't completely trust them and dtd as much as poss anyway. This month we haven't put a lot of effort into it to be honest!

Wow this is a lucky bus! I'm glad I'm on this one, even tho I'm sitting quietly at the back, eating cake and getting myself geared up for my last natural month before I turn to IVF unfortunately. It's been 12 months with no luck whatsoever so we've been to fertility clinic for initial consultation and they've said to go straight for IVF, given my age (how rude!) . So as I'm ov'ing right now I asked my Oh to give it a special go this time! . Fingers crossed for a bfp this month else it's off to the clinic.

Gilly you must be very frustrated....hope you get a positive opk soon. Just out of interest, when you had your really long cycle, were you ill at any point, take painkillers or very stressed? I only ask as I had a much longer cycle a couple of months ago and I worked out that at the time I would normally have ovulated, I had an awful migraine and had to take painkillers. I've since and that this can delay ovulation which might be why I was a bit later. Might be rubbish if course!

I'm 12 dpo no positive opk yesterday but have DTD the last two days. I did think I had ewcm yesterday (before we DTD) so hoping I get a positive in the next couple of days.

Hey onelittlepiglet! I had a lot of work stress going on... Went for a couple of interviews as I was unhappy at work and got offered a new job... Then decided after a lot of conversation with DH to stay in my current job and stick it out... So I was quite stressed!

However, part of me thinks I may have actually conceived the previous month and maybe the bleed I had was actually a very early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy rather than a period.
Reason I think that this could be a possibility is because we dtd every day around ovulation and the bleed I had a few weeks later was VERY HEAVY... I was flooding super tampax within an hour
That lasted a few days and I assumed it was a very heavy period.. Then I had some more bleeding on what I believed was cd10 which has never happened to me before... Then I didn't have a period again for over 40 days.

Whatever it was, it was a weird month and I hope I don't have a cycle like that again!

This may be the skittles talking but I AM SO EXCITED FOR BFPS!!!

Congrats to all the bfps! Seems like other people also have some weird cycles after coming off the pill. Hope mine settle down soon.

IWant, I hope your oh's little swimmers are of the Olympic style this month and reach their goal We had an app with the fertility clinic a couple of years ago but found out I was pregnant 3 days before it, the best call I ever made was that cancellation call

Yay loads of BFPs! Congrats everyone! Really hope I get mine next week. These 44 day cycles seem so so long, it feels like I'm waiting a lifetime.

Oh gilly that's sounds like it would make sense - hope you are ok. I think stress does affect cycles too so I'm trying not to be stressed at the moment. I was I'll for two weeks which didn't help but am much better now so I hope my cycle behaves itself this month!

Wow, congrats to all these early July bfps, great start you must all be so excited! I'm about to ov according to cm and pains, dtd yesterday (and every other day before that since end of af) bit worried about going for it the next 3 days which will make it 4 in a row- surely he's gonna run out of swimmers?! Anyone else doing smep? Don't think I timed it properly.

It's that and other things - they give you more chart analysis etc (although I'm bit far long my cycle enough for this yet!).

I find it interesting that some charts where there is such a good pattern of DTD around ov do not end in pg but lots where they seem to only do it the once on quite an odd day (like 4 days before ov) it does! It seems so random. I know doing it as much as possible before and around ov is upping your chances but it doesn't follow that it will end in pg.

I got it on offer for about £10 for three months so it wasn't much really...

onelittlepiglet, I've mentioned this before but when we were ttc ds #2, after a year of constant dtd the month we decided to stop trying we only dtd once well before ov and I got pregnant, strange eh?

I'm doing smep lux. Started last month and both months I've had +ive opk the day after dtd and last month also had 2 +ive opk so should have dtd 5 days in a row (we gave up after 4!)
I don't think they run out of swimmers but we get fed up of dtd. I've been married 15 years and we just don't have that kind of stamina any more!
This month we managed all smep dtd's but I have short cycles so only dtd 2x in the alternate days time which makes it slightly less of a marathon.

Linda - yes it's weird! The month we conceived dd I think we DTD about three days before I supposedly ov and didn't do it again until well after so it does only take the once!

Any more symptoms for you today?

Just the wee crampy twinges today but I've probably pulled a muscle sleeping with a very restless 2 year old, it's a fight for a space in the bed but he's having bad night terrors just now, wee shame
