Hi newbies!

Went over to a friends this weekend and she had a woman there that's 4 months pregnant and also has a 15 month old. Realised I'm really awkward around other children - I just can't do the 'excited baby talk'! I hope I do better with my own children Confused. I do have a nice bruise on my forehead though, I was trying to play with him (doing 'high fives' with these big cardboard hands) got distracted by my phone but he kept going and had turned the 'hand' so it was on it's edge and properly clocked me on the head! You can't take you're eye off them for a minute! Grin

I've found I'm becoming hyper sensitive to every little twinge I get now, a week since I stopped the pill and I'm sure I'm getting odd pains in my ovaries!

pommedechocolat · 30/07/2013 10:53

happy - much better with your own :)

Waiting ttc is quite frustrating. Not known for my patience.

Am going to get the cycle day freak out out of the way over the next few months as something to distract me!

Refoca · 31/07/2013 19:05

I'm reading through all the posts on the board and thinking about the 3 months it took last time (and realising I was lucky!)...got me thinking that maybe ttc or at least not avoiding would be a good plan a lot sooner if I want a summer baby, rather than waiting to the 'perfect' Oct/Nov conception window.

Eek! Think we may be ttc before next month is out!

Hi, there just adding myself to the list. Nice to have company in the waiting room!

Buddhagirl · 02/08/2013 11:29

Agreed its much better with your own. Well, so I've heard.
Dh said yesterday, so your not going back on the patch then? I'm not i said, just like we agreed. He was cool with that and went to buy some condoms. Gotta be firm! I'm not mucking around anymore.

gwenabee85 · 03/08/2013 14:31

I'm cd18 now and still not ovulated.. this is my first 'real' cycle since coming off pill in December and it's so frustrating! If they'd just go back to normal I could chill out and stop worrying about it :/ how are yours going buddhagirl?

greeneone12 · 03/08/2013 16:15

Can I join please? #30 and have DD 2 yrs. Really hoping
we can start trying in Sept after m/c

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 09:37

Not up on all this terminology... What does cd18 stand for?

pommedechocolat · 04/08/2013 10:03

cycle day 18. As in 18 days since your period (known as af around here) started.

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 10:19

Thanks pommie! Smile

Had a dinner party last night, later on in the evening (after a few bottles of red) DH starts talking about his 30th holiday to Vietnam - but turns to me and says (in front of everyone) "but you want to be pregnant by then don't you" in a very accusatory way! Mortified doesn't cover it Shock wasn't in my good books this morning!

gwenabee85 · 04/08/2013 11:10

Oh no oz! I would have been so mad! What did everyone say?!

pommedechocolat · 04/08/2013 11:12

That's not good ttc behaviour! Hope he was suitably chastened this am on waking.

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 11:18

No one really said anything & he just carried on saying he wanted to wait until afterwards. I kept quiet as I couldn't think of anything to add! Think the conversation moved on afterwards thankfully. When I told him off this morning he just said he thought I'd discussed that kind of thing with them already.... Nope!

gwenabee85 · 04/08/2013 11:23

I'm finding this stage a bit awkward, don't know about anyone else? People keep asking us when we're having babies since we've been married over a year, and I don't want to tell anyone when we're planning on starting in case it doesn't work out right away.. Hmm

pommedechocolat · 04/08/2013 11:27

Dh wavered a lot over ttc dd1. Luckily we weren't married and noone was expecting us to announce pg so no pressure. With dd2 I was silly enough to tell everyone I wanted no 2 soon and it become a 'thing'.

I would go with not telling everyone.

This time round our parents know we are thinking of ttc next year but that is it.

gwenabee85 · 04/08/2013 11:34

Yeah, I kind of want to tell my mum/sister/best friend but gonna try and keep my mouth shut :/ when they ask it's just so obvious we're lying though! Blush

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 11:50

I'm lucky I think that no one really asks us as we are over here and all our friends here don't have children. I do feel like no we are seriously thinking about it I want to tell everyone I know - because I'm excited. But I need to try and keep quiet really as you just don't know how long things are going to take! It is awkward being in that "getting ready" phase I'm finding - just want to get on with it now! Smile

greeneone12 · 04/08/2013 12:00

I am trying to get my head round how I can get myself in the mood for that much DTD!

greeneone12 · 04/08/2013 12:00

If I follow SMEP

gwenabee85 · 04/08/2013 12:19

Are you not from australia then oz?
What's SMEP green?

greeneone12 · 04/08/2013 12:24

Sperm Meets Egg plan. Pretty full on (for me) schedule of DTD to ensure best chance of success! Involves ovulation tests etc. I am not sure I want it to be that involved. Will see how it goes! If you Google 'SMEP' there is loads about it online.

greeneone12 · 04/08/2013 12:25

spermmeetseggplan.com/

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 13:04

Been in Oz just over 2 years now, if we were back in the UK I think id be hassled on the kids front, although they know my DH well enough to realise he's not one for quick decisions!

Smep sounds hardcore!

I don't think it will be me that has an issues with dtd as I've always had a high sex drive, it will be convincing my DH!! Wink I'm going to have to go all out with the sexy underwater to tempt him more than twice a week!

Still finding condoms a chore - not enjoying them at all. Actually didn't use today but withdrew instead... Once I get my af ill be able to track and make sure to avoid ovulation if we are going that route!

pommedechocolat · 04/08/2013 13:39

I got pg from withdrawal method happy - that was when we had our termination. Careful!

happygoluckyinOz · 04/08/2013 13:40

Hmmm!
