Hello all, I've been hanging around hoping to catch the February bus but it hasn't appeared....So I've decided to get this passion wagon on the road...Anyone else want to get on board?

Bit late but please can I jump on the bus as it shoots past?

TTC #1, Cycle 2, BFP due 16th Feb

Have had a 28 day cycle followed by a 42 since coming off pill beginning of Oct so not really sure of my cycle length now to be honest!

Think I had EWCM on CD13 but haven't had it since and now on CD17...

Only symptoms to note at the moment are the 'pinching' that I have in my abdomen. Not really sure what that is?

Anyone had this mid way through a cycle??

I was very jealous of anyone with a girl when i was pg with my DS 3. I wanted a girl so badly, but the more i thought about it the more i wasn't bothered. I now feel quite daunted by the thought of a DD.

As I am writing this I have slight stomach cramp/period type pains, been wee-ing all morning nothing to do with the fact all I have drunk is cups of tea all morning

Hi Blue I had a similar thing but put it down to ov pains as I had no idea what it was. Sorry i can't really give any advice but wanted to wish you luck, hope you get your BFP while you are riding the bus with us ladies

I think that's what it might be chaos

Hopefully that means 14 days from now I'll be expecting my BFP or dreaded AF...

Is it normal to get ovulation pains 4 days after EWCM?

Also is it normal to only get one day of EWCM?

I am completely out of the loop with all these abbreviations!! Can somebody enlighten me as to cd13, EWCM etc??

I think I might have got my cycle a bit wrong... as AF actually departed on the 9th this month so think I may be due AF a bit earlier than the 9th feb :s totally unsure and confused now! Think I might just stick to 9th and if AF arrives before hey ho and if not then a bigger chance of a BFP?!

Oh god I must sound like a total loon with my online mutterings now.. Feel especially stupid already having a DD, but we've never actually done the whole ttc thing! You all sound like geniuses and here I am not even knowing what day flipping AF is due..

Can somebody help me please? Cause you're actually a pretty lovely bunch...

hey ladies just checking in. hows everyone doin?

af due tomorow and bfn again today major af cramps
the stupid witch has got me again after all the hard work we put in this month. mean mean af!
with this cycle being 34 days already i dont think ill be staying on this bus. ill just wait on the side of the road for the march bus (this is really rattled me cause now i feel like i have on less month and one less chance this year to concieve (sorry for the moaning))

Hey blondie

CD13 stands for Cycle Day 13. I.e. number of days since the start of your monthly cycle (1st day of period).

EWCM is Egg White Cervical Mucus. This is the transparent, stretchy Mucus which signifies that ovulation is in the next couple of days.

AF is Aunt Flo - your period

Hi Blue - I think we have the same BFP date (16th Feb), well as far as I know anyway! I'm also ttc #1 and on cycle 2. I came off of cerazette in December, no withdrawal bleed but AF arrived 1 month later so I'm assuming she will either arrive again this month or I'll get my BFP (fingers crossed!)

A little worrying to hear you had a 28 followed by 42 day cycle though, which pill were you on? I'm hoping my cycles will be regular again but who know...nervous stuff

cleo your ex friend sounds absolutely horrible - good riddance, I say! I would feel the same as you...some people just don't deserve it

bluefreckles I'm not an expert but I think it is possible. It happens to me sometimes and to be honest I find it difficult to pinpoint ovulation by EWCM only because some months it's just all over the place. But I get ovulation pains and have recently started using clearlue ovulation digital tests which I've found very helpful (my ovulation ranges between CD17 and CD21)

setay - chin up. It's not over till AF rears her ugly head and if she does you've got another chance to get your BFP and do lots of DTD.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand how you feel. I was mega late for AF last month and was gutted when she eventually arrived. Really thought I had done it first cycle of trying. Bit foolish really.

Mine is purely based on my phone app which is working on an average based on my two previous cycles! Bit vague to say the least...

I was on Yasmin and have been for 8 or 9 years solid. Prior to that I was on different pills. I'm 29 now and have been in the pill since I was 15/16.

I guess it takes time for that amount of hormones to get out of your system.

I have been comforted this month to get EWCM and now ovulation pain - at least I know/think I am ovulating...

Trying not to get too obsessed by it (not easy) and other half is just saying, 'what will be, will be - just go with the flo and stop worrying'.

Pentagon - do you DTD lots when you get the pains or is it too late by that point?

Hi all, re ov pains, there is only 1 piece of published research that tried to show whether ov pains came before, during or after ovulation. It was inconclusive. Essentially, although they can be useful for letting you know you are ovulating, they aren't that reliable at pinpointing when exactly. Re the EWCM, this shows when you have a nice healthy environment for the sperm to make their way to the egg. Once you see it, get shagging as you're likely to ovulate in a few days. Hope that helps, I've spent HOURS reading medical journals on this stuff!

silver - that's really helpful. Might keep DTD every 2/3 days for a while yet then, in case my pain is showing that I will ovulate soon...

Happy to help! NHS guidance suggests DTD EOD, so I try and do it every 2 days rather than every 3 not that I'm pregnant yet

We always aim for every other day but we both work long hours and have to commute for an hour before and after work.
Sometimes we're so tired and only have time for dinner before getting some shut eye.
Need to find some extra energy.from somewhere!
