I really hope I haven't missed someone else starting this!

pocket and hoops thank you both for your encouragement. It's certainly busy, but so far it's going fine. Actually one thing I've found so far is that it doesn't give me much time to think and analyse as things change so far. However I suspect that'll change once I'm on the bench!

sunnyg · 05/01/2013 15:17

ooops sorry I meant highlove. Brain very fuzzy currently!

MiniH · 06/01/2013 08:30

Morning all and happy 2013. Have been AWOL for a while and just enjoying a bit of time off work.

weller congrats on your 6w scan. Sounds like all is going well.

pocket yay on your 12w scan as well. The first 12w really are the slowest but time has started to pass more quickly since then for me.

italian so lovely to hear from you and that you are starting your adoption course. I hope it goes well and that the process is quick for you.

sunnyg woohoo on starting your cycle. I still have very fresh memories of those 7:30am blood tests so I am feeling your pain. It will go by quite quickly though and like you say until the 2ww you have so little time to even think - and as they call you in for blood tests during 2ww typically you don't get much time even then.

hoop that sounds like a lovely Christmas with baby David.

Afm, we are almost 16w now and I definitely have a little bump. Getting a little hard to hide so going to have to tell people very soon. I had a tiny bit of spotting last week which dr thinks was cervical erosion but because I'm a paranoid AC lady I had a reassurance scan on Friday and thankfully all was fine. Baby looks more 'baby' like than did at 12w - bit more real somehow. We had it done at place called the birth company and they email you the scan as well which is so nice as can now watch it every day if I want (and share with my mum). Really hope that movements start soon as having had weekly scans for so long it is quite weird having nothing now for weeks. Think I may have felt a flutter but not sure.

Hope everyone is well. Xx

Hello everyone, I've just joined mn and fund this thread. Can I join please? Struggling a bit at the moment to be honest, ttc #2 for 18 months and getting nowhere.

I'm 37 and dh is 36, no issues and have a 2.5 year old ds. Went to doc at 1 year ttc and she referred us to fertility unit who done bloods and tests and confirmed all was working but they'd put me on 50g of clomid for a jump start. Still nothing, had a hsg end of november to check tubes and they were all clear too. We are now due to start iui next cycle. Well, would have been this one but missed the baseline scan date due to Christmas hols so yet another month goes by. Sad

We fell pg with ds after 8 months and using cbfm, have just purchased another one so fingers crossed. Would like to share this journey before I lose the plot completely!!!!

gingernutdreams · 06/01/2013 20:32

Happy New Year All!

Sunny I am so glad you are back on the AC train and I think ARGC was exactly the right choice for you! I bet it is a lot to get your head round and sounds intense, but if it finally does the trick and brings you a lovely little 2013 bubba then it will all be worthwhile. Smile I have fingers and toes crossed for you that all goes swimmingly.

Badger I can't believe you are 37 weeks! Not long now ey? How exciting! Smile

Teds how lovely to hear from you and glad to hear your twins are doing well.

Highlove good luck with the weight loss in prep for your 2nd cycle in March. I have lost weight with Slimming World and would recommend it to anyone. Smile

Hi Mini and how great to hear you are now 16 weeks gone and developing a little bump and possible a flutter too, am really excited for you! Sorry to hear you had a little spotting, but glad the scan showed all is ok. Keep us all posted on your progress, won't you.

Welcome Tilly and good luck with the iui. The ladies on here are very supportive, welcoming and informative, so I hope you will settle in and share your journey with us. Smile

Hello to Frostie, Hoops, Pocket, Bugsy, Buggerlugs, Vivienne, Italian, and anyone else I have missed.

Special hugs to Mo who I hope is taking good care of herself, you are in my thoughts still sweetie.

AFM, I am going back to CARE next week to see one of the counsellors, to try and prepare myself for the next cycle (well FET) and to try and talk through some of my feelings following my mc last Sep. I am also waiting for the results of my level 1 immune testing to come through, which I expect in about 2-3 weeks, so we can formulate a plan as to how to proceed (what meds etc to take in conjunction with the FET). Then it is just a matter of finding the money for it all, and trying to find the strength to try again. Wish me luck ladies!

DSB

BadgerFace · 06/01/2013 20:35

CONGRATULATIONS Badger!!! What a fabulous start to the year Grin

Quick, me-me-me, questions: Anyone been on Progynova before? I started on Friday and feel quite crampy. Could this be my lining getting thick quick?

highlove · 07/01/2013 16:41

Badger that is so so wonderful. Huge congratulations and enjoy every second. Lovely news. This has brightened my day up - hope it's the first of many lovely AC babies this year.

sunnyg · 07/01/2013 18:35

Hello All

Such wonderful news about the arrival of minibadger today. It's all given us a real boost I think.

vivien how are things going? Love the name change - very glam.

Italian it's great to hear things are going forward on the adoption front. Keep us posted my dear.

buggerlugs I'm sorry this is a bit late - just catching up but I was too glad to hear you ovulated. What's the next step for you?

Mini wow 16 weeks already! I'm sorry to hear you had some spotting. That would completely send me into panic and I'd also have no qualms about going for a reassurance scan. After all you've been through I'd do it in a flash. But I'm glad the scan showed mini mini is doing well, Keep us posted.

ginger thanks for your encouragement my dear. Very sweet of you. It's definately busy at Argy but already I feel I can't fault them. Very, very thorough. I'm so glad you are starting to make plans and I think the counselling is a very good idea. Getting over a MC would always be horrible, but somehow I just feel getting over a MC after going through IVF is just beyond horrible. So taking steps such as seeing a counsellor to deal with those feelings and getting help to prepare for the next cycle is a really, really good idea. I had my immunes done through ARGC of course so I'll be interested to hear how yours come back.

ted lovely to hear about your twins - how old are they now?

vallinapod I'm sorry I've never been on progynova and I don't know much about it. But I'm sure someone on here has and can help.

Tilly welcome to the lovely AC thread. You'll find great wisdom, support and laughs here.

All going well here, stimming along, speaking of which I have to get going to bed. Yes early night for moi. My day starts with a 5am jab and then off to Argy for bloods at 7.30am. Had Ivig today - ouch so expensive but that's how it goes. Hope you are all well.

DSB! oxox

wellerbabe · 07/01/2013 19:07

Wow welcome to the world minibadger that was a surprise ! Hope you are both doing ok GrinGrinGrin

vallinnapod · 07/01/2013 20:45

Sunny what's IVIG?

LissySilver · 07/01/2013 22:03

Yay Badger!!!! Mazel tov on the birth of your beautiful daughter.

To all the other ladies, I'm wishing you all BFP's in 2013.

I'm always lurking, and an ARGC graduate, so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

viviennewestwould · 08/01/2013 14:41

Congratulations Badger!! Thanks

SunnyG, thanks for asking, I'm having relationship problems at the moment which is why I've been quiet. My wonderful, selfless, 2.5 years-sober partner had a relapse on Saturday. We are devastated but working through this catastrophe. I am reading, though, and cheering you all on.

viviennewestwould · 08/01/2013 14:44

...what I have learned though, is this: Michael is more important to me than a baby. He is the love of my life and I will fight to help restore his faith in himself. Being childless is no longer the worst thing that can happen to me. It is losing Michael - or myself - to this horrible, insidious addiction.

Scrummybump · 08/01/2013 15:31

Congratulations to badger on the safe arrival of Molly Thanks Grin Thanks Grin
Sorry to hear it was all a bit dramatic, but try and focus on the positive outcome. I hope your recovery is quick. Just take it easy and focus on the baba and you.

sunnyg I see you are on the ARGC rollercoaster now - just chill and go with it. I'll be keeping my eye out for your news.

minih wow - 16 weeks...once you start to feel the movement, it takes pregnancy to a different level again.

I have some baby news myself - our scrumptious little boy entered the world on New Year's Eve by -another- emergency c-section. At one week old he is just an angel and we are totally smitten!

Hello to italian pocket mo weller and others

I hope 2013 brings you all that special BFP! Don't stop believing

vallinnapod · 08/01/2013 16:18

Scrummy fabulous news. Massive congratulations to you GrinGrinGrin

sunnyg · 08/01/2013 18:15

More fantastic arrival news! Wonderful news Scrummy and welcome to your little boy. I hope you are both well and looking forward to your updates.

Lissy - great to hear from you. I will definately let you know if I have any ARGC questions.

vivienne sorry to hear about your relationship problems. It's not easy this fertility business and combined with other pressures in life can make for very trying times. Sounds like you are committed to helping him and I'm you'll do it. We are here for you so lean on us for support.

Vallinnapod IVIG is a drip, a blood product that is given to those with immunes issues, specifically elevated NK cells. Agate on Fertility Friends has a huge forum on it if you are interested. Raised NK cells can affect implantation/miscarriage so the drip is to calm your system down.

highlove · 08/01/2013 18:45

Oooh another lovely baby. Massive congratulations scrummy
