We're ttc #2 in dec and I know it's a really silly thing to get excited about, but just started taking folic acid and feeling very excited about it!

Sorry for the pointless thread.

Sounds like you're well prepared! I thought I'd make a note of my cycle to start with but that's all to start with. Only 2 pills left in the pack, I keep thinking I must sort out my repeat prescription... nope not this time! Strange feeling!

Wow, winter pansy, that is wonderful news, and it is great that you are where you are now, given the tough time you had in the winter.... Congratulations, and do tell us your edd so we can put you on the list!

Miss fredi - you are so right!!! Who's need an excuse for a new bag?

Moominlike - the countdown is on!! I did think about that when my implant was taken out but I read online you can get pregnant on your period. So maybe it might happen?
When the implant was taken out the doc said my fertility was back to normal instantly. She also said if we had had sex running up to the implant being out some sperm may still be 'in there' so could get pregnant that way. How long will it take after you've come off the pill? I've never been on the pill xxxx

leaf Thanks so much. Yes, things have really turned around in the last 6 months. Can't quite believe it yet. All being well edd is early Jan (I think!). I'm only 3+6 today going on ov date so there is a long way to go...
You doing OK?

Hi winter pansy, it is so exciting! Well done for overcoming all the work stress and getting to where you wanted to be.

How is the new job by the way? I hope your colleagues are lovely.

I have put myself in the 'indefinate' section of the list, as I now know May is unrealistic. We are seeing what our finances are doing, working on our relationship, and trying not to allow the tick tock of the 2nd half of the thirties push us into a more stressful situation when we can see ourselves managing.

I am a bit sad about it but I know it is right....

Please please give us progress updates to keep us feeling like we can follow in your footsteps.... Deal with adversity and get to where we want to be..

Have you heard from Bridget and the hairy brigands lately?

winterpansy · 27/04/2013 12:55

Aw, thanks! New job is ace. I only really have 1 colleague and she is lovely. She has 4 children herself (and a farm!) and is really funny and kind so it's all working out well. It's hard to believe I was so, so miserable 6 months ago.

Sorry to hear things are on hold for a bit but at least you feel it's the right thing to do, even though it is sad. When the time is right things will fall in to place. I'm proof of that!

Will keep you posted on how it's going. Only officially 4 weeks today so there is quite a bit to go. I need to make an appointment for doc soon though as I had gestational diabetes last time so they will want to monitor me asap. Bit scared as my bmi is the same as last time and they told me to lose at least 2 stone before ttc. I have failed miserably at that!

Haven't seen Bridget in a while. Hope she's OK.

Enjoy your weekend x

All sounds very positive :)

Not sure tbh kimberley, I've heard some horror stories about it taking forever for your cycle to return but lots of people get pregnant straight away so I think it just depends on the individual! Some say you have a fertility boost straight after coming off it but that might just be anecdotal

Mine was yesterday, felt very odd throwing the empty pack away and not getting a new one out! And even odder not taking one today! I must admit I do feel a bit out of sorts today, maybe the contraception comedown lol

Exciting times eh Grin

I have kind of a buzz knowing I no longer have to have a glass of water every night before bedtime. Though this will probably morph into a can of diet coke every nightWink
