For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Hello ladies. How are you all?
Seems like there are a few testers amongst us next week. Fx for us all. I've just purchased my superdrug tests in anticipation. Let's see how long I can hold out! Will prob crack on Monday as have a day off work to recover after the Hyde Park olympics party.
I don't feel at all preggo so not hopeful. I took epo for the first time this month and it seemed to make me have no cm at all. I stopped taking it when I ov'd (I'm temping so I know when I ov) and then about a week later I got a few days with lots of cm. Very odd. Not sure whether I'll bother with epo next month. What do others think?

Tried to dtd earlier with hubs but he couldn't finish! Argh

Feeling really bad about going on on thurs night now cause we were supposed to dtd! Haven't dtd since tues :(

Have cracked and done a pregnancy test. Very very very very faint second line. DP not convinced. Made him POAS to show that if it's neg there is absolutely no line, and have tried to explain my period isn't due til the 18th but he is still saying no. Am hoping that testing tomorrow morning will bring confirmation. I don't think he'll believe me til i can do the unambiguous digital clear blue test.

You're in exactly the position I was in very recently. Very faint line, DP didn't believe it!

I was using the pregnancy test which came with the OV sticks. I was going to wait till the next morning but my friend came round with an early response test, did that and the line was clear!

So, if waiting till tomorrow is doing your head in, and it wasn't an early response test you did, get out there and get an early response test!

Hooray qazxc! If I didn't camp out on these boards I wouldn't know that a faint line is still a line, so in fairness to your oh I can see he might need further proof.

How many dpo are you? I am going to v festival on Sunday 19th, and if I'm not pg then I want to get a bit intoxicated. I'm thinking of testing on Saturday, then I'll be 11dpo... do you think that by then I can count a negative as a real negative and a positive will show up on a first response?

Wasn't expecting to ovulate as late as I have... I thought I'd know for definite one way or another by next weekend.

yikes I used EPO for the first time this month and got my BFP yesterday! I haven't really felt pregnant at all just gone off wine and coffee. I also had a bleed a week ago which didn't happen with my DS.

Winkle it's like a soap opera with you, but glad you got one in today know how frustrating it is to think you should be DTD but other things in life get in the way.

Day 10 in the Dexi house and we have DTD day 8 and today. Aiming for EOD but not too stressed- the month we got PG we only got to it twice a week so I'm a firm believer in what will be will be. No +opk yet, last month was + CD13&14

I'm 8 days DPO. tried again first thing this morning still a very faint line. will have to wait til i can do the digital cb for DP to be convinced. He says he doesn't want to get his hopes up which i understand but a little excitement wouldn't go amiss

qazxc have you thought about using an early response one (or is that what you're using already?!) My line was much stronger with one of them.

No AF yet...I've now moved when I think I OV'd, so I'm probably now 13dpo.

Will test tomorrow if no AF appears today. Don't feel particularly pre- menstrual.

When are you testing again qazxc?

hi im hoping you ladies can help me, i got a positive on my cb smiley test last night and dtd my af due 27-29 th august. this morning my opk was negative, so i have had one this month. last month was longer than usual cycle as ov later than expected, but im confused this cycle. i have been tracking them now for nearly a year and 29 days is the longest and 25 the shortest any help and info will be great as reading through post you all have more experience than me. ps ttc #2 dc1 was conceived first month and is now 5

If you are averaging a 27 day cycle, your smiley face would be correct time wise, although maybe a day or 2 early and AF due around the 26-27th?

I read somewhere although cant remember where that "the days between O and AF is always 14 days." don't hold me to how reliable this is
But IME this can vary as last cycle mine was only 12 days, (OPK last month) which makes it hard to get a sticky iyswim. this month I've dropped the OPK and moved onto saliva ferning, and O is where I expected for a 27day cycle.

I think the easiest way is to work out the most fertile days for longest cycle and shortest cycle, and join them together to make one long fertile period.

excited qazxc are you using first response? With dd I was getting faint lines for a week on FR before anything showed on CB.
