For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Ive used the mums net ovulation calculator before although I have no idea what some of the things mean!

I hope the GP finds a solution for you. i will be saying a prayer for you.

I'm pretty sure that it was accurate the month I did get pg. I haven't been able to use it since as I'm on the wtf cycle after a mc so have no idea about af dates etc!

I was reading something about staying away from some particular foods..... pasta, noodles etc, how true is this? Also, can ones weight affect conception? i weigh 47kg

weechops don't discourage too soon, it's not over till AF arrives.
Have another 10 days before i can test. Don't know if i have symptoms or are imagining things as i want it so badly. I have a 40 day cycle so if this month isn't the month, I'll have to wait til October. That's when my baby would have been due so I think I would find it quite hard.

going bananas being overweight or under weight can affect conception, but if only the women who were a perfect BMI got pregnant the human race would die out. I haven't heard that you need to stay away from pasta, just that, as with rice and bread, you should switch to brown (wholegrain) instead of white as it healthier. Don't know if bananas help girls (they help sperm alright) but they do say to eat plenty of fruit and veg.

goingbananas I have a 31 day cycle and tend to ovulate on cd17. It could be different for you though. Best if luck.

I really hope I am pregnant this month, cause I've got all the symptoms, tired (no make that exhausted), hungry all the time and I think my sense of smell is stronger. This is probably all in my head as I am only 6dpo and it is far too soon for any symptoms.

Thanks woody & sunshine I think it is just a mix of wishful thinking and a bit of a bug. Or a phantom pregnancy.

cd30 has now turned into cd1 - she got me :(

I must have missed ov this month by a couple of days. I couldnt have dtd then anyway as dh was working away then.

Ah well onwards and upwards. I can play with my new toy when it arrives over the weekend and start poas cd6. Just to feed my obsession lol!

Ooh, weechops, you share a birthday with my niece :-) Fx it is lucky for you.

And When, my sense of smell has seriously got better a) since I came off hormonal bc and b) in the last week or so.

11 DPO today and I am having weird pains. Last night it was shooting / stabbing pain across my uterus twice, enough to make me double over. And now today I have a stitch-type pain on the right hand side of my uterus. Odd.

Sure my body is playing tricks on me though.

To those who have already had pregnancies, How early do the first symptoms tend to show up? I know it must be different for everyone, but just curious how quickly things can happen?

WhenSheWas i ordered the clearblue opk off amazon. Prob not supposed to use it from cd6 but hey, it'll keep me entertained til ov :) Fx you are pg this month.

Sorry that af arrived weechops I am considering going with the clear blue thing if I don't get pg soon.

Wowsers I just noticed the top 3 people on the list got BFP! Thats great news congratulations :)
I am due on the 10th but not feeling hopeful as had a bit of a bleed last Friday after my Zumba session and not feeling at all pregnant. I haven't even bothered to buy a test yet this month! May get one 2mor and test Friday as planned if AF does not arrive before that. I seem to remember it took a week after AF was due to get BFP last time and no symptoms really till after that.

I've updated my estimated BFP date - this is a guess due to my wtf cycle!

I gave up my seat on the train for a pregnant lady this morning. Hoping for good karma!

I can officially join the list now I've had first AF (started yesterday) after stopping Cerazette a couple of weeks ago. I'm assuming 28 day cycle but who knows. Bit sad symptoms were AF ones not BFP ones (bit of wishful thinking there!) but nice to know my body is doing normal things again down there! Sep BFP hopefully... fx
