For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

Hi woody good news about the scan, sounds like you're doing all you're can in the circumstances..

It's hard woody and for the first few weeks it's all you can think about. Did the hospital not ask you to do a hpt test to confirm it was negative? I had natural mc, same sinareo as you really very bad bleeding on the Sunday lessend to normal af type bleed for 4/5 days then stoped I had a scan the Monday and was told it was clear but that I had to get a neg test before discharge just to make sure. We didnt dtd until I got a neg just because I didn't want to confuse one pg with another, I think the normal advice though is to take the test 2 wks after the mc so I'd maybe do it again then just to clarify it for your own mind x

Ok thanks. No they didn't ask me to do any tests or anything. They just said that I would probably only bleed for a couple more days and then was fine to ttc again.

Will just keep dtd regularly and I'll test once a week to see what happens.

woody sounds like a sensible plan! You can't beat the EOD theory...a far less stressful plan then monitoring like a crazy loon :)

Yeah, I'm trying eod this month too..... shagged like crazy last cycle and still no bfp.

Doing the EOD method here too.

Altho only on cd3 so more waiiiiiiiiting for me.

Winkle do you think it was the epo that effected your last cycle? Is there anything else it could be attributed to?
I'm currently on cd35, not that late I know but my longest cycle in a years worth of tracking was 32 and only twice, even last months cycle after mc was only 32 which I expected late do to late ov?

Sorry to hear about your MC Woody after ours in June DH wanted to stick with the advice to wait for next AF before trying again. My cycle was best part of a week longer before AF arrived, have had signs that I've ovulated at the usual time this month so now am on 2ww.

Am now 6 DPO and counting down the days until AF due- am planning on waiting the full 14 days before testing just hoping the witch stays away.

We were just told that we could ttc again when we felt ready. It might be the wrong thing but it just feels right to ttc again straight away. I think this is helping me deal with what happened.

Woody I'm late to reply but I think if your tests are still +ve then your body still thinks you're pregnant (cause hCG levels still high) meaning you probably won't release an egg for fertilisation. If it helps, I bled after my MMC until mid-April then got +ve OPK on 29 April.

I think having my Coil out has messed up my (normally predictable) cycle as I ovulated on 21st July (CD20) so if my AF does not arrive on 28th as expected, I will be testing for my BFP on 4th Aug after 2ww.

If AF arrives as due on 28th I will be hoping for my BFP on 25th August.

sunshine I've just started OPKing this month. Previously TTC by simply not using contraception but not worrying too much about it. Not even keeping track of AF dates. After 4 cycles and no joy, thought maybe we should actually try a little harder! Particularly as at 37 I'm not as young as I once was, fertility-wise, am I?
I did OV on this cycle, according to the sticks. Don't feel very pregnant now, but who knows?!

I never thought of myself as lucky for my periods coming back so early! Puts a different perspective on it.

I never knew that BF could continue to keep them away if you weren't exclusively BFing, that's interesting. Unpredictable things bodies aren't they? (And the reason we're all on this thread I guess!)

I did one yesterday sunshine and a resounding bfn!! Before then did one the Thursday so was starting to get hopes up ( I know you've been there!) my last cycle after mc was 32days which I expected as late because of late ov etc and before birth of dd my cycles have been from 25-32 days although only 2 in their 30's, the rest in the 20's, I'm now on cd35! So I've never been this late before, I guess with it happening to you and winkle though it's much more likely a late missed af then pregnancy though

kittykatsforever - I dont know if it was the EPO but that was the only thing I did differently to other months. I'm not taking it this month.

Thanks for all the replies - I think it seems like I need to wait until about 2 weeks after mc to expect -ve test - not sure if that is from end of bleeding or from scan when there was nothing left. Guess we will just enjoy dtd regularly just in case!

Ah, kitty I hope you find out soon either way. I really felt for winkle too. That bit where you've accepted you're not pg but still waiting for af is horrible. Well, either you are pg, which would be lovely, or you'll actually be pleased to see af for once when she does turn up.

aufanaie I was down to 3 feeds a day, 6 hours between them. Dropped to two and introduced formula, then replaced another feed. At end was only bf for 5 mins at night before giving bottle and still no af until about a month after stopping completely. The human body is strange, I just hope mine's ready to conceive now.

We're trying to make an effort to dtd before teatime, as afterwards we're just too bloody tired from getting dd off to sleep. Sometimes it's hard to switch it on when if you weren't ttc you would probably just go to sleep instead I hope I'm not the only one with this problem or I'd feel a bit tragic sharing. Don't want to miss what could be a potential conception date! cd19 here and based on last cycle not expecting to ov 'til cd28(!) but really it could be anytime from now (damn unpredictable cycles)

I took EPO for first time this month. Hope not messed cycle up! Arrggh so confusing isn't it!

woody it's evening primrose oil. I thought it was meant to shorten your cycles though?? Glad I was lazy and didn't get any for this cycle now.
