hi harryhotpants, and welcome

wannaBe1974 · 05/04/2006 08:43

morning all :)

Northy many many congrats :).

hc I will keep my fingers crossed that you get your BFP, would say though, try and hold out from testing for as long as you possibly can, a week if you can hold out that long. There are countless posts on here from people who have tested just after their af has been due and have got a bfn, either because there AF was just late, but also because there wasn't enough hormone in their body to produce a bfp. The disappointment of a bfn can be overwhelming, especially if it's your first bfn - have you ever tested before? I know that the urge to test can be so overwhelming - have been there so many times myself, but then looking at someone like Natallie, she got 4 BFN's before eventually getting her bfp about a week later, she says herself that she could have been spared so much heartache if she'd just waited. If I get to a point of testing I certainly intend to wait as long as possible.

Well am on CD16, kind of middle of the month syndrome, although we're not actively "trying" we've still been doing everything right in order to conceive, but I'm more realistic now than hopeful, and as my last cycle was 35 days I certainly won't be testing any time soon.

skerriesmum · 05/04/2006 14:41

Hi again everyone,
Well AF came today but I was half expecting it so I'm not too sad. It's only been four months. Don't kow if we'll get much bding in later this month though as we're moving house and have lots to do! Ds is sick this week so we're just taking it easy, a good day to be crampy and blah...!
Good luck as usual to all!

Jenswish · 05/04/2006 14:50

sorry to hear about af skerriesmum! :( good luck for next month! :)

skerriesmum · 05/04/2006 14:56

Thanks, that's nice!

Piffle · 05/04/2006 16:31

Sorry about AF Skerries mum :(
All on board for next month
I'm on 2ww now cd22. Symptom spotting as per usual although am talking myself out of all of them Grin

Hopecat · 05/04/2006 16:34

I have tested lots of times before, as although we are only now in the 'reasonable to hope' stage, DH has been producing a teensy number of tadpoles since about November, so I've been hopeful since then really.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm CD28 today (my usual AF day), and quite crampy, but they don't feel AFish, IYKWIM. Still have the strong metallic taste too. Hope I'm not MCing.

Can't say this anywhere except on cyberspace due to jinx potential, but I really FEEL pregnant.

I'm going to take your advice Wannabe for as long as I can hold out. Unless of course AF is lurking...

I'll keep you posted. Smile

Piffle · 05/04/2006 17:15

Fingers crossed HC, it is hideous that AF and preg symptoms are so similar....

coggy · 05/04/2006 18:13

.............soooooooooooooo mean........
and so easy to persuade yourself that it's a bfp.

peachygirl · 05/04/2006 19:33

AF arrived todaySad.

We'll be on holiday for the next go, so here's hoping that all that relaxing will do the trick.

trace2 · 06/04/2006 08:43

so sorry hopecat

Jenswish · 06/04/2006 09:06

sorry to hear this hopecat. :( Good luck for the holiday and the coming month.

Hopecat · 06/04/2006 10:14

Thanks Jen & Trace. It's nice to know people are out there who understand.Smile

Still 99% sure I was pregnant actually - body felt totally different.

Going to try taking 75mcg of aspirin a day for this month. Read (on one of the threads) that a common cause of MC is thick blood, and that taking a small amount of blood-thinning agent can help.

Don't suppose it can hurt anyway.

Jenswish · 06/04/2006 10:20

Do you think it was an MC then hopecat?
