Is it possible that you can feel any pg symptoms within 24hrs, maybe 48 of conceiving???

Yesterday was my day 15 since period. I honestly hadn't thought about that until just this evening i started feeling really achy breasts, which i have only ever had when i was pg before.

Could i really feel pg symptoms this quickly?? I know nobody can tell, but would love to hear some good stories about people who have.

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you Hattie

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 16:20

Thank you .

I knew i shouldn't start this thread. For as long as i didn't speak/type about it i could push it to the back of the mind.
Now i am simultaneously convincing myself i am pg but then convincing myself its all in my head, and i cannot bare the 2 week weight!

So keep crossing.

I don't think it matters what you do, as soon as thee deed is done you think "am I pg?" every second of the day till you test.

How long will you wait to test?

2 weeks?

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 16:23

i did a test today and it was neg. But that is because my period is a least two weeks away! So i shouldn't do another till then should i?

My periods havn't been totally regular since coming off depo, they range from 30 - 35 day cycle i think. So for all i know it may be 3 weeks away!

OP posts:
Nbg · 11/02/2006 16:27

Ah well if your "normal" cycle is 30 ish days, I would say test in 3 weeks but theres nothing to say it couldn't be picked up in a week or so's time.

Make sure you buy multipacks. They're cheaper.

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 16:29

I bought a pack of two today, can you get more then?

munz · 12/02/2006 12:57

good luck hon and fwiw that's how my nan knew wiht each of her PG's she was PG - literally she was sick as a dog from conception till they popped out - she recons she could only manage half her tea b4 running to the loo to throw it up b4 retunrin for the other half!

cupcakes · 12/02/2006 13:01

When conceiving ds I had weird nausea and sore boobs within days - we were on holiday at the time and I put it down to the climate (!) because I thought it was too early in my cycle. Tested early as well and got a positive.
Don't use clearblue - gave me 2 negatives for my current pg, even when testing way after period due date. Boots own much better.

Piffle · 12/02/2006 13:29

oh cupcakes grrr wish I had read this an hour ago!!
Guess which muggins went to tesco and bought bloody clearblue an hour ago!

cupcakes · 12/02/2006 16:44

ah well - it might show postitive and if it's negative you can just think that it's dodgy like mine and ignore.

Piffle · 12/02/2006 18:01

it was bloody positive cupcakes, whaddya know!

gomez · 12/02/2006 18:24

Congrats Piffle

Hatty, I hope you get your BFP in a couple of weeks too

While I think that there are some on here who have had signs very early and been sure that they are pregnant, I also think that it is important to keep perspective. For as many people replying to this post, there will be equally as many, if not more who have had sore boobs, tiredness etc, and who have been absolutely sure they were pregnant, only to be bitterly disappointed with the arrival of AF, and equally as many who had no signs at all and who were pregnant. I do think that sometimes if you're really desperate to be pregnant, then the signs will be there because we want them to be. Not because we're imagining them, they're real, but often sore boobs can be as much a sign of ovulation or impending AF as they can be of pregnancy, but when you're not trying to be pregnant you don't look out for signs in the same was you do when you're ttc. And I do think that the more you convince yourself you're pg, the worse the disappointment is if you're not, coming from personal experience

MrsMcJnr · 11/07/2006 11:24

Congratulations Piffle! Fab news!

Have to say I am most concerned about the boobs thing, that is how I have guessed most of my friends pregnancies. I already have enormous boobs and friends and DH alike are always joking that I will fall over if I was pregnant !

My sis has 2 and she said her first signs were her elevated sense of smell, she could smell everything! and her inability to cope with the smell of coffee or wine!
