Is it possible that you can feel any pg symptoms within 24hrs, maybe 48 of conceiving???

Yesterday was my day 15 since period. I honestly hadn't thought about that until just this evening i started feeling really achy breasts, which i have only ever had when i was pg before.

Could i really feel pg symptoms this quickly?? I know nobody can tell, but would love to hear some good stories about people who have.

Psychologically i think but i wouldn't think physically.
DP and i seemed to just know each time we'd conceived.

Good luck+

Flossam · 09/02/2006 22:16

IIRC the sperm may only just be meeting the egg around about now, and even if met they would not be 'settled' yet. I'd think it unlikely TBH! Hope I'm wrong though!

Hattie05 · 09/02/2006 22:18

I agree Angeliz, psychologically, but i honestly hadn't thought what time of the month was, until i had achey boobs.

Yes Flossam i thought that too but wishful thinking!

You guys have answered incorrectly i'm afraid. The answers were meant to be " oooh yes i've had 10 pg's and had immediate symptoms with them all!"

I knew from around 7 days after conception both pgs. I just felt different - cant explain it. Nausea set in gradually from then too. I know that i am very unusual in that respect.

Angeliz · 09/02/2006 22:21

No Hattie, my post was supposed to say that i feel i did know, after the act TBH, we just seemed to know!

Hattie05 · 09/02/2006 22:23

Oh ok Angeliz!! i see what you mean now

D'you wanna know whats really silly? I really wanna be pg now, so that i will be over the dangerous stage when we go on holiday in June! I have a funny feeling you are not supposed to fly before 12 weeks, is that true? IF so how important is is and who would know anyway?

OP posts:
teabags · 09/02/2006 22:24

Immediately. Within literally a day or 2 of when I think I conceived I was waking several times a night desperate for a wee

Angeliz · 09/02/2006 22:25

I've never heard that, i know you're noy supposed to fly very late but i can't see it for very early on.

Hattie05 · 09/02/2006 22:25

Thats promising Teabags! keep 'em coming .

You see i didn't have all this the first time round as dd was a very pleasant surprise.

bighug · 09/02/2006 22:35

I'm sure it's fine to fly. With my first pg, I did a test at about 5am and was on a plane to Australia for 2 week holiday by 12noon. That's why I did the test because I wanted to know for my holiday if I was up the duff because of all the lovely wine. If I'd had a m/c afterwards (I didn't) I don't think I would have even put it down to the flying. Good Luck!

Hattie05 · 10/02/2006 00:24

Oh thanks you two, i must have dreamt the flying rule then!

Hi, I was looking for info on flying the other day due to a question from a work colleague.
This site has some good info on all those 'is it safe to' questions
try here

Enid · 10/02/2006 21:12

I did

conceived on one torrid evening (or maybe morning ) and had sore boobs 48 hours after. knew instantly.

Hattie05 · 10/02/2006 23:39

OOh Enid you've made my day! they are still really sore today.

Thanks for that sight peachygirl, i see they just recomment the second trimester as the best time to fly, thats obviously what i was thinking, but it is ok to fly earlier.

chipmonkey · 10/02/2006 23:55

Enid, was that on dd1, dd2 or your current pg? I only got sore boobs on ds1, never got them again!

Enid · 11/02/2006 09:38

I got sore boobs with all three pgs but much earlier and more intense this time.

Enid · 11/02/2006 09:39

also I remember sitting on the beach (we were on holiday) and dh saying 'my god what have you done your boobs are MASSIVE' - they grew quite considerably seemingly overnight

LadyTophamHatt · 11/02/2006 09:44

I knew the morning after the deed when Ds3 was concieved.

I remember making a cup of tea and thinking "OMG...I am actually pregnant"

I'd been desperately broody for about 15 months. An all consuming broodiness that took over every thought in my head.
It was such an amazing feeling....I just knew I was PG

Enid · 11/02/2006 09:46

yes I knew
kept it to myself though - it was lovely
bummer that I then had to cut down on the wine and seafood consumption on hols though

LadyTophamHatt · 11/02/2006 09:49

Sorry, should have also said that because it was only hours later there weren't any signs before I knew.

The tiredness was off the scale within about 3-4 days though.

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 15:49

Thanks everyone.

Well i'm desperate to find out now! I feel really really tired, boobs are sore - get really bad in the late afternoon/evenings.
But i'm worried that because i let myself 'think' that i may be pg that i'm becoming obsessed, and will be v let down in a week or two when af arrives!
I stupidly did a pg test today, of course i knew it would be negative as i think my period is a fortnight away!

Ho hum, must stop thinking about it.

Thell · 11/02/2006 16:08

Was tempted not to say anything so that you could stop thinking about it !

But I think I just knew too. About a week after conception I woke up early one morning for a wee (very unlike me) and had a dizzy spell (have had none since!).
Then a few days before period due, I felt very pre-menstrual - emotional, achy tummy, large boobs - and burst into tears because I was convinced this meant I wasn't pregnant!
I used the First Response tests, that you can do 4 days before your period. They were really good, IME.

My Mum has always told me she weed constantly from very early in all her pregnancies.

Good Luck!

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 16:11

I did have to race to the loo today, one minute i didn't need a wee the next i really DID!

OP posts:
Nbg · 11/02/2006 16:15

Sore boobs immeadiatly for me.

You know, when you've to hold on to them when you go up or down the stairs!

Hattie05 · 11/02/2006 16:17

Thats exactly what i have to do NBG.

oh please dont let this all be in my head

i've been out with dd this morning, met friends for coffee, then started to walk to the end of the high street to a shop i needed to go in. Turned round half way there to go home as i just couldn't be bothered to walk thats not like me, it really wasn't that long a walk!
