Hi a wierd Idea but I've browsed through threads and seen that some poster feel sometimes that complaining about i.e not being pg after 2 months is insensitive to people having problems.

I can see their point , but we all need a place to let off steam without being made to feel guilty. So......

I made this thread as a perfect place to spout off any worries how silly they may seem.

Please be honest about what you think!

Re the temp testing, I gave up because I never seemed to change temp but I do know that you should test before getting out of bed in the morning, eating & drinking so that your temp is not influenced by anything else.

I know what you mean about functional we went on holiday and promised each other a break from DTD, ironically enough we got pregnant. DH cannot be convinced that we need to go back there to get pregnant again Smile

Archemedes · 03/02/2012 09:38

100 ov tests??
woah at least you'll be prepared

I heards the other night in order to concieve should try shagging less as the quality of sperm will be better , aaaagh my heads going to explode lol.

morning all! (every day?!)

I have news - very quietly... I got a BFP today! Am not at all getting excitied as I am fully expecting yet another early miscarraige, and am just thinking that at least this one will get me a refferal. However, in the past, even with succesful pregnancy, I have not managed a BFP on a standard test till a few days after missed period, and mostly it was really light. Today I tested four whole days before AF due (no idea why I did it) using an ordinary kit and not a first response or anything and got a definite line straight away!

Please keep fingers crossed for me! If you don't mind, I might stick around here though because, well, you know....

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 05/02/2012 18:58

Fantastic Goldrill Grin Grin Fingers, toes and all the bits in between are crossed for you Smile

I had a positive opk every day Monday to Friday then they went negative bit never felt ovulation and I normally do so am a bit Confused

Chunkychicken · 05/02/2012 19:24

Congrats Goldrill :)

cherrybird1978 · 05/02/2012 19:31

Fantastic news Goldrill, have fingers and toes crossed for you. I know the worry of continued early MC's, it totally stinks! I might as well have a little rant for myself while I am here, we have been TTC for a fair while (8months) now but because I have PCOS, we have only just been given meds to help and are on the first cycle of the metformin. I know I shouldn't compare, but a relative has almost been pregnant more than she hasn't now, she has had 6 kids and seems to fall as quick as a pin drops and I feel so jealous. Then I feel guilty for feeling so jealous and think I should just be happy for her and be greatful that I have 1 DD who is happy and healthy against all odd's (born weighing less than 2lb). Sigh!

rogersmellyonthetelly · 05/02/2012 21:55

Can I join in with a little rant? Everywhere I look people are getting pregnant without even meaning to and we are trying like buggery (not actual buggery as that wouldnt really work would it) and I'm still depressingly unpregnant.
Bloody soul destroying, and while I don't for a moment resent people who do get pregnant easily or by accident and am happy for them, I'm crying inside for me because I just want to feel my baby kicking inside, to hold that precious baby and smell that newborn smell :0( right, I'll drag myself out of my pit of misery..... As you were ladies.........

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 05/02/2012 22:33

Are you trying for your 1st Roger?

I do understand that sentiment. Sometimes life isn't fair. How long are you trying? Glad that a biology lesson isn't needed Wink

rogersmellyonthetelly · 06/02/2012 09:39

Trying for no 3, been trying since last August after dh had his reversal op, what's worse its probably my own fault because I made him have the snip in the first place. In some ways it's easier because I have my kids who I love utterly and are the light of my life, in some ways it's harder because I know what I'm missing :0(

wifey6 · 06/02/2012 15:56

Hi ladies...congrats to Goldrill! Everything will be fine. Smile
So sad Sad to hear of the struggles too.
I don't really know what thread I 'fit in' with this week as its my 'fertile week' according to my phone app! Smile. Daft question ...
If we dtd every other day this week...do we carry on in to next week as well? I'm just not sure when's best....we dtd Friday & Sunday in the lead up to 'fertile week'....just don't want to miss our chances.

Pipbin · 06/02/2012 22:25

Evening ladies, this is just the thread I needed.

This is my first month of temping and I think the early morning beep of the thermometer is making me twitchy.
DH had a SA first thing Saturday morning and we are waiting on the results. This is his second one, but we were never told the results of the first.

Just got EWCM today and got stupidly excited by that. Seriously? Something I would have just thought was a bit grim and not looked twice at 6 months ago has now got me excited.

I am lucky though as there is a lady I work with who I can talk about all this to. She tried for two years before being referred for IVF, only to find out that nature had got there first. (sadly not to be ....... but they did go on to have two DDs after that).

Oh, and congrats Goldrill

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 09/02/2012 15:35

How is everyone doing? I'm due af on Monday and just had a first response poas delivered with my Tesco shopping.

Any point in doing it now or should I wait till morning?

wifey6 · 09/02/2012 16:13

fish....does it say how many days before AF you can take it? Wouldn't want you to test too early & not get an accurate result.
I am in the OV stage...so have achy back & sides...don't have a good feeling about this month though for some reason...
The posture bought be the 30 cheapy tests today so I am prepared!

wifey6 · 09/02/2012 16:14

postie.... Not posture - damn iPhone auto-correct!

Fisharefriendsnotfood · 09/02/2012 16:17

I did it wifey and was negative, have had a really odd cycle Confused had positive opk for 5 days before going neg but I never felt ovulation at all and I normally do Confused .

wifey6 · 09/02/2012 17:00

Its probably too early to tell...don't give up hope yet. Daft question....do you tell your DH/DP when is the best time to dtd or do you just pounce at the right time?
I haven't told my DH when's the best time..not that he's complaining! Grin

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 09/02/2012 17:00

Huge Congrats to goldrill Grin such lovely news! Have a Brew take it easy now!
fish don't be disheartened, test again in a day or 2.with my ds1 I tested negative for 5 days after af was due before I got the magic 2 lines :)

So, Dh and I are feeling tired but pretty fit at the moment! Wink this 'cycle' we have been dtd everyday or every other day as I have no idea when I ovulate as my cycle is all over the place. Ov tests haven't arrived yet!grrrr so we will just keep going for now! Had my scan last week and all is 'normal' which is good news, my suspected pcos is not visible so that's fab! Awaiting blood test results now to see if they show anything.

Got a good feeling about this month,so fingers crossed!

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 09/02/2012 23:05

Friend who is ttc dc2 told me earlier that when she conceived her dd, she and her husband dtd TWICE a day for 2weeks over her suspected fertile time! ! They conceived in her first month of trying! ... this time she said they are lucky to dtd on alternate days :)

Pipbin · 09/02/2012 23:22

I don't tell him when it's 'that week'. I don't want him to get performance anxiety.

Chunkychicken · 10/02/2012 06:30

After sharing my TTC madness on here, thought I'd share my good news. Got a BfaintP on Tues, way earlier than I expected, so am keeping all fingers & toes crossed that this one is s 'sticker'. Will be testing again over the weekend before we tell anyone else in RL to be absolutely certain. Not sure I quite believe it yet...

So after all my moaning/whining/hysteria etc. I actually got lucky this cycle!!! Fingers crossed for everyone else :o

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 10/02/2012 06:46

Congrats chunky seems like this thread is a lucky one! :) make sure you take it easy!

Chunkychicken · 10/02/2012 15:05

Thank you!!!

Hope its a really lucky thread... :o

Pipbin · 10/02/2012 17:08

Ladies, I just thought I would come and share this:
This month I have been taking extra vitamin B and manuka honey.
Now it might just be coincidence but I have had the 'best' EWCM I have ever had and a really strong positive on an OPK stick.

Normally I hardly get anything on an OPK, and when I do get a positive it's well into the ten minute wait. This time the line was there before the test line!

TMI ALERT Seriously, I just went to the loo and the EWCM on the paper was so thick that as I pulled it to check it was stretching it lifted the paper up. Over the last four days I reckon there has been about 3 tablespoons of the stuff.

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 12/02/2012 21:35

Saw you had posted this on another thread too. I will have to give this a go. How much manuka honey do you have and how often?

Im getting twitchy at the moment. I want to go out and buy a preganancy test tommorow, as if I had a 'normal' 28 day cycle, AF would be due tommorow. As it is, my cycle is irratic to say the least, sometimes 28 days but other times can be shorter or longer Confused

Soooooo, what to do, do I test or do I wait?
