Oh Dear - was a bit different in here last night!

Haven't had an unwanted pregnancy for a while!

Hope your feeling better today Crystaltips - Bunny was right in what she was saying yesterday, there is always a choice and no-one here should judge you for making a choice that suits you!
Good Luck

oliveoil · 11/11/2003 09:07

Congrats Helsbels, I have been off since Thursday and only just logged back on! Yippee for you

Not to tempt fate, but they say things come in threes.....I am due on Thursday and have felt decidedly weird for about a week and can't shake off my cold. Felt the same with dd as well...

Could be all in the mind however, will have to wait and see.

BigBird · 11/11/2003 09:26

wow - there are loads of newcomers. Who is left from the old gang and where are you all at ??
I tested neg last night
on cd 30 now....

CountessDracula · 11/11/2003 09:30

ooooh oliveoil go and test! Can't you do an early one???

oliveoil · 11/11/2003 09:50

I didn't think you could test till the day your p was due? Is this wrong????!!!!! Ooooohhhhhh

quackers · 11/11/2003 09:54

Morning girls! BB, so soryy, try in a couple of days if no AF? Crystaltips, I can only add that no-one will judge you at all, I hope not anyway. Much as I desperately wany No2, I know what it feels like to not want a baby. Like Bunny I too had a termination at 22. I absolutely had no choice. First step is to tell DH I'm afraid and decide which path you will take. I have to say, there are worse things that can haeppen but it won't feel like it at the moment I know.
Without wanting to go on about term's I am now CD 22 and have been showing 'signs', as I always do even after 2 days of conception. I am so adamant that I will not get hopes up as chances of failure at this stage are 75% and I'm well aware of that fact. Given my history of losses too I cannot get into this and just hope signs decide to stay around and give us a muc wnated baby!!!

Good Luck Quackmeister - Fingers crossed for you!

OO - I tested the day before my A/F was due and i got a +ive result! I was under the impression you could test earlier with first response kits.

quackers · 11/11/2003 10:53

Yes I got positive 3 days before AF but I wouldn't advise as only about 60% of positive's are picked up. Fingers crossed I still feel like this in a few days!!!

Quackers - this thread is on a roll!!! I should be ovulating this week.... am tempted to just go for it, but MUST RESIST MUST RESIST!

....until next month.

BigBird · 11/11/2003 10:57

thanks Quacks - was in a right downer last night ! Still no AF though....we'll see. I used first response.

Fingers crossed for you....yuou could do with some luck for a change.

OliveOil - goos luck to you too!

CountessDracula · 11/11/2003 11:05

Go on then Oliveoil, buy one of the early ones.

I am rapidly going off the idea of having another as am reading a dreadful book sent to me by my MIL (maybe a warning from her?!) called "I don't know how she does it" by Alison Pearson. Has anyone read it? Her life is quite like mine except I only have one child and am not a banker but have a fairly stressful and busy job. Don't know if I can bear another. Told DH that I would have to give up work and we will have to live in a tent. He said fine

NO dreadful as in it keeps me awake at night worrying that my life is going to be like that in a couple of years time unless I do something to stop it

M2T · 11/11/2003 11:10

CD I'm reading that too! I had to stop coz it was making me feel so guilty coz I could relate to so much it...... apart from her wealth!
However, I can bake my own Mince Pies.

And I always make it home before ds's bedtime, although I'm normally away in the morning before he wakes. >sigh<

I'm hoping to go part time after the 2nd.

CountessDracula · 11/11/2003 11:13

No don't!

I do worry thoough. Am going part time (4 days a week) in Jan hopefully, so that should address some of the probs. DH is hoping to do the same, then we would have a good balance I think and dd would only have to have a nanny 3 days a week which would be perfect

M2T · 11/11/2003 11:15

Dino - Did you get me mail last night? You can email me the ending.... I am too scared to read anymore of it. Some of the feelings she has about work/family could've come from my mouth and I'm ashamed of that.
Feelings are changing though. There is more to life than this sh*t(My job I mean!).

I do love my job and it is very well paid, that is part of the problem. We have a fairly big mortgage and enormous outgoings, some of which we could get rid of if we each worked 4 days, eg nanny, cleaner, dogwalker, personal trainer, chef (ok last two a lie!!)

BUT I don't want to end up like that bloody woman in that book!

Helsbels · 11/11/2003 11:19

CD don't you wimp out on me now!!!! M2T don't resist - go for it Quackers - test agin on Saturday. Thanks for all the congratulations - I hope to see at least 3 more on the July board before the end of next week!!!

M2T · 11/11/2003 11:19

Dogwalker??????
I'm a harsh b*tch... I get rid of the dog if it menat I could spend more time with ds.

M2T · 11/11/2003 11:21

lol helsbels.

Are any of you ttc'ers in Scotland?? I'd like to be pg 'with' someone this time. I didn't even attend an antenatal class last time. And moved to another area when I was 7mths pg. So I didn't really have anybody to share it all with!

Helsbels · 11/11/2003 11:23

You can be pg with us!! (If you get your finger out and stop resisting the inevitable!!)

CountessDracula · 11/11/2003 11:43

M2T we have a dogwalker for the days I'm not working at home (2 or 3 days a week)

Am today so off for a crumpet and golden syrup yummmmmmm. Will help ovaries to produce more eggs IMO.
