Again nothing to add here - on CD 24 of a varying 28 to 32 day cycle - seems o get longer every month! There must be some logic to it all I am sure - did some bding at the right time (dh birthday 40!) so may be he is past it! LOL!

Will keep you all updated, but expecting AF around weekend.

homemama · 17/01/2006 20:00

Just popped in to say hi to everyone!

Even though I've started posting on the ante-natal thread, I'm still lurking on here as it's so early.

Here's hoping this thread stays as lucky as it has been so far this year. Some of you girls could still squeeze onto the Sept thread!

Congratulations on the wedding, Stacey!

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 08:53

thanks everyone and welcome wuzzlefraggle, hopefully your stay here will be short (not that we dont like ya or anything) well cd 14 so bding for england me thinks!!! not confident about this month already but oh well, we shall see!!!!

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 10:46

again, cheers for the welcome well im on cd3 (damn you af lol)in a cycle thats normally 32 days but these last 2 cycles have been 42 and 36 (dunno what happened there)and heres hoping that none of us have to stick around in the ttc thread for much longer, theres nothing worse than not knowing at the end of each month! hope every1's ok. oh, 1 question i just thought of, has any1 here got any cats? reason i ask is that i have 2 and was just wondering if they were safe to have around babys, since we started ttc its been worrying me a bit and ive had lots of contradicting info off the net.

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 12:05

silly to be thinking of things like this so early really, i know, but i luv my pets to bits. just to rest my mind really

puppy · 18/01/2006 12:46

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 17:10

(me:20, dp:27 ttc 1st btw)

fairydust · 18/01/2006 18:23

have been trying to concieve no2 for about a yr with no luck have very very few periods and when i do there really horrid - have been told i have polistric overies so have been refered to a ferlity specialist.

wuzzlefraggle i hope you stay on the ttc is a short one xxx

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 18:48

i hope that the hospital app goes well for you fairydust, u have all of my best wishes. i hope that my stay is fairly short too. been ttc for 4 months ish now

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 20:09

cats are fine, but you shouldn't deal with kitten or sheep feases (sp) while pg as there is something in them that can cause a m/c, but cats are fine we have two and dd loves them loads!!!

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 20:11

cheers stacy, u just helped put my mind at ease a little, haha @ dp...he'll b the one sorting the messyness out then lol

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 20:21

yeah i used it as an excuse the whole way through my last pg! lol

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 20:23

oh thought id just introduce myself as you gave stats earlier.

Me : 19
Dp...soon to be Dh : 21
DD : 15 month

ttc #2 for 4 months and had no luck, seems like sods law as dd was concieved while on the pill and using condoms, now we'r not using anything and i cant even fall!!! could be something to do with my weight (put on 3 stone while pg with dd) so am now on a diet and last week lost 6 lbs!!! so v.v.v impressed!

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 20:29

wow!! congrats on the diet stacey!!thats really gd going! ive been ttc for about that too, damn af keeps rearing her ugly head tho. suppose its still a short time yet tho.and congrats on the wedding hehe.and i swear that if i ever get my hands on sod, he wanna look out, lol he can b very mean lol lettin u concieve practically protected up to the neck and now makin it more difficult for you...meany as he is (tut tut)

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 20:36

well yeah but i dotn mind dd is the best thing in the world, lucky dp stuck around really as we had been together 2days when she was concieved and i was only 6 weeks when we found out, and he was 19 me 17 and a bit bloody scary, but he loves us and looks after us which is good.

now all we have to worry about is making no. 2! lol, which he doesnt mind taking a bit longer as when pg with dd i went right off sex so hes trying to get it out of his system for when i do fall as he'll have 8 months of almost abstinence!

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 20:42

i didnt mean it to sound that dd was a mistake by any means stacey, sorry about that, my typing is sucky and i blame af lol..i have the upmost respect that u stuck thru everything and im sure that ur dd is a gem i meant that sods law was stopping u from concieving quite so quickly second time round. lol, so its bding like rabbits for you then lol you have my very best wishes and i hope that baby number two is on the was shortly for you

wuzzlefraggle · 18/01/2006 20:55

night all, happy bdancing!! big bro awaits me lol cheers for the chat stacey and congrats again x

staceym11 · 18/01/2006 21:09

Jen1209 · 19/01/2006 13:01

Hi All, just dropping in to say that posts may be a bit infrequent at the mo for me as I am having a big trauma with my dad.

He is mentally unstable and was (up to 2 weeks ago) living with my 91 year old grandad. Anyway, he got to the stage where we (esp my grandad) can't cope anymore and my dad was admitted to the mental health hospital. After several meetings with Social workers etc it has been decided that Dad cannot return to live with my grandad as Dad is a very violent, unstable man. Unfortunately it falls to me as the eldest child and next of kin to tell him which I have to do tonight. I am not scared about telling him, just terrified of his reaction (he has beaten me up in the past) i am going to have the social worker and 2 nurses in the room as well.

At the moment, he hasn't been sectioned and is only there as an "informal patient" which means he could leave if he wanted to. My grandad has had to talk to his solicitor about getting dad formally evicted and also to the police about an injunction and putting him on a rapid response should Dad turn up on the doorstep.

Anyway with all this going on it has put ttc on the back burner (which has upset me too) as AF is on her way out.

Sorry to rant on, prob should go to the health boards but just had to get it off my chest.

Hope all ok, well done Stacey on the weight loss this week, gives me inspiration - I started the slimming world diet this week!

staceym11 · 20/01/2006 11:47

oh jen im sorry about your dad, i can understand how hard it is for you (in some ways) as i suffered severe depression and took it out on my parents in terrible ways. i hope you find the strength to get through this, its always hard as your dad probably doesnt see the harm he is doing!!!!

Jen1209 · 20/01/2006 12:35

Thanks Stacy, it is v hard but I think we have turned a corner now.

Sorry to everyone as I feel I have killed the thread. Hope you are all ok and please don't pay any attention to me rambling on

J x

Jen1209 · 20/01/2006 12:35

Sorry Stacey - always forget to put the "e" in your name!

majormoo · 20/01/2006 12:53

Jen-I hope it went as well as can be expected and that you are OK. It sounds scary-at least you know you are doing the best thing for everyone. Don't worry about talking about it on here by the way-that's what we're here for!! I've certainly done my share of getting things off my chest on here!
