I enjoyed a nice lie in this morning as well! Now relaxing on the sofa watching Cbeebies with DD and cuddling! Love it! Might go out this afternoon.
I've been suffering pain in my left hip for a few weeks now, DH keeps saying I need to go to the doctor with it, but I keep forgetting. Will have to be a task for Monday now though.

OP posts:
TooImmature2BDumbledore · 10/09/2011 12:34

Cheese, yay for your DH's platelet levels! Hurray! Not so good that he still feels ill, though. Hope he's much better by Tues and his tests are all ok. Also not so good about your blood glucose levels. Sad I don't know much about gestational diabetes, but at least if that's what it is then it's been diagnosed early and your MW and consultant will be able to stay on top of it.

Green, have you a date for moving yet? Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today.

Mel, boo to thrush getting in the way of ttc! I seem to have heard that you need to treat DH as well or he can pass it back to you - nurses, is that true?

I slept in until nearly 12 this morning, which I haven't done in ages! Mind you, I didn't go to sleep til after 1 because DH chose the moment right after turning the light off to tell me that someone in my team at work has walked out (I have been on holiday so have missed all this). I got all excited and worried and wide awake, and then DH fell asleep mid-sentence! I had to turn the light back on and read for a bit to calm down.

Ugh, my fingers are puffy intermittently already. Yuck. They seem to swell up when I'm hot, but I'm sure they didn't do it this early before!

Bluetinkerbell · 11/09/2011 09:09

well just a quick one, lots to do before we're off to church later.
Tested again this morning, BFN again. Really had enough of it now, AF better show up soon, so I can start charting the next cycle, and try out my ov sticks properly!

enjoy your Sunday all! x

MelMal · 11/09/2011 09:16

Blue snap. I was about to scream ffs hurry up and come af. But then thought at 6.45 it wasn't the best. It makes you feel so down because it's neither one thing nor the other! Getting organised for busy day too. Church, family visiting and then work x

Bluetinkerbell · 11/09/2011 09:59

On which cycle day are you now Mel ? I'm on CD 39...
See I might have ovulated late and therefore still in 2ww, if only I knew! It's a waiting game now...

OP posts:
MelMal · 11/09/2011 10:28

Haven't got a clue Blue. It's been 32 days since my op so we kind of thought that we could try and base times on that. We didn't bother about ov tests this month as I didn't have a clue where I'd be in my cycle. Body just sort yourself out!

DiffedAgainDachs · 11/09/2011 11:16

blue and mel Sorry your bodies are being crap. I hope they sort themselves out soon xxxxxxxxxxx

cheese Yay for DH's platelet levels. I hope they continue to improve :)

green Good that the housing is getting sorted - do you have a date yet? V exciting xxxx Grin

I hope you are all having good weekends. I'm not having a very productive weekend, but that's good! Am v tired at the moment - I don't seem to get morning sickness but I do get really really really tired, and I'm one of those people where the more tired I am, the harder I find it to sleep.

AngelGeorgie · 11/09/2011 13:08

Dachs totally with you!!! I m so tired but , now, so uncomfortable on bed. Last night didn t get to sleep to 1 ish then awake at 7 again. Too early for a weekend when I want a lie in. Done some jobs off fir a siesta nowWink
Mel. and blue it's very frustrating at times Isn t it? I remember, think was January this year not ovulating and having a long cycle for me because of my age I was panicinig my body was very slowly heading towards the menopause or it was stress causing the blip. ( I had just turned 40 then!!!) but, was fine in the end. Sure you ll both be back in sych soon. Xx
Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. Weathers great here considering was suppose to be awful!!! Xxx

janedoe25 · 11/09/2011 13:44

blue and mel fingers are still firmly crossed for you both!

green yay, for the house!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 11/09/2011 21:45

Mel and Blue, after all this waiting, I'm almost sure you are both going to produce BFPs in a few days! Do either of you know when/if you ovulated? Any interesting symptoms to report?

Dachs and Angel, hope you manage to get a bit more sleep over the next few days. Angel especially will be needing it soon!

Jane, how are you doing? When is the wedding? How is all the prep going?

AngelGeorgie · 12/09/2011 07:00

Thanks Too . no , no more sleep. Really odd vivid dreams!!! Won t miss this part of pregnancy and 3 visits to the loo!!! Scan time again ; hate them!!! Been counting; it s my 9th scan this pregnancy!!! Only today and 1 more to get through!!!
Have a good day everyone xx

janedoe25 · 12/09/2011 07:25

how exciting angel! In no time at all you will have gils snuggling into your arms.

too Im ok, took a break from ttc this month i really needed it as I was stressing way too much! AF is due end of the week and I'm raring to get back into the saddle! Only 10 weeks left till the wedding eek!
How are you?

greenzebra · 12/09/2011 08:28

angel good luck in the scan Im sure it will be fine. Whar a tough life we have to lead.

jane I thought about taking a break this month as I had a bit of a break down on the friday, and DH and I discussed how scared we are. But we are back on the swi no positive ov test yet but expecting either tuesday of wednesday.

I am so chuffed that I will be moving in soon, I cant wait! I am hoping that this is the start of new beginnings and maybe this is the month where all our hopes and dreams are realised. But DH has told me Im not aloud to stress about it as it doesnt help in the ttc.

blue mel how much longer are you going to wait?

janedoe25 · 12/09/2011 09:40

green I'm not scared at the thought of being pregnant, it was the BFN and AF showing up it totally devastates me. I was also stressing way too much during the 2ww. It has helped me so much by having this wee break.

I hope you move into your house very soon and have a wee baby to fill the bedrooms!

Bluetinkerbell · 12/09/2011 10:06

angel good luck with the scan!

I'll try to answer all the questions...
No idea when I ovulated. I did have 2 days of spotting on the 16th and 17th of August.
Symptoms:

  • my breasts are a bit itchy and sometimes painful, but not as much as with my 2 previous pregnancies.
  • Being moody.
  • having cramps like my period is about to come, then nothing comes
  • My left hip has been hurting since a few weeks, since today my right hip is being silly too. (Don't know if this could be anything to do with being pregnant or not) DH keeps saying I need to go to GP but haven't made an appointment yet
  • Headaches
  • Going to the loo more often

green don't think I will test again for a good week or so... (that's what I say now Wink )
When we moved house 3 years ago in Belgium, I got pregnant that same month with DD1 Wink here's hope Grin

See with Sterre my LMP was 07/01/11/ I tested BFN on 10/02/11 and 14/02/11 and tested BFP on 22/02/11 when I had my scan they said I must have conceived on 10/02/11 as I thought I was 12 weeks according to my LMP, but I had a very long cycle and late ovulation.

OP posts:
MelMal · 12/09/2011 12:13

Yep good luck Angel - it's amazing the difference that you feel going for a scan after what we've been through. I remember getting excited the first pregnancy and now I look at them with dread! On a positive note though, you get to see your wee bubba!

I'm kind of same as blue. Really unsure where I am in my cycle. I had my op on 11th Aug so when things cleared up we just started trying. I'm normally 32 day cycle and have been for ages give or take a few days. Got bigger boobs slightly itchy sometimes, sense of smell is astronomical, crampy feelings that come and go, absolutely no bleeding, occasional queasiness, headaches and horrible taste in my mouth. I guess I'm going to probably say I'll next test next weekend, but might do a midweek test. Depends if I get to Home Bargains for some more of the cheapy tests Grin. Saving my clearblue ones for confirmation tests!!
Lots of love to you all, hope you're all having a good day x

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 12/09/2011 12:38

Angel, hope the scan goes well. I hate the waiting for them and the first few moments before the sonographer says it's ok. I always manage to wind myself up beforehand to a state of complete panic. Last time I had a really nice woman who took one look and said I can see the heartbeat, so I wasn't on tenterhooks for long.

Jane, only 10 weeks to the wedding - excitement! Hope everything's going well. Glad to hear you feel better about ttc after a wee break - FX for this month!

Green, DH is right - no stressing! It's really exciting about your flat - you must be over the moon.

Mel and Blue, you both have such promising symptoms! FX hard. Hoping for sneaky midweek test from at least one of you! Even though it is none of my business.

Bluetinkerbell · 12/09/2011 13:01

made a doctor's appointment...
If I have the guts and it's a nice one, I might ask about my cycle.
do you reckon it's worth asking having my blood checked to see if I'm not lacking any vitamins or so? I know they checked everything over back in June and it was all ok.

OP posts:
MelMal · 12/09/2011 14:06

I'm going to the docs next week to discuss how I'm coping at work (or not as the case seems to be). First appointment was on monday but that's when the midwife is there so I wouldn't take it.
Blue you should discuss it with your GP at least to try and get some answers to try and work out your body. That'll help you understand what's going on and help you be relaxed about it all x

Bluetinkerbell · 12/09/2011 14:18

I know I should bring it up! thing is, at our GP medical centre, if you want to be seen the same day, you kind of have to go with a given GP. I've had some bad experiences with some of them, and I forgot to ask who my appointment is with Hmm
I hope it's not the same silly woman that told me when I was pregnant of Sterre and kept testing negative that I just needed to wait. I think she doesn't have children herself, or never been pregnant before and doesn't have a clue how your body can make you go totally bonkers.

OP posts:
MelMal · 12/09/2011 16:00

Fingers crossed it's a good one then. Some docs are very black and White about pregnancy and related issues x

CheeseandGherkins · 12/09/2011 17:07

Afternoon. I spoke to the diabetic nurse today after getting some high and low readings the past few days and she got her boss (her words!) to call me back when she was in. They're going to put me on either metformin or straight onto insulin. I'm in at the hospital in the morning with dh so she said to get someone to bleep her and she'll ask the dr tomorrow what he wants to do. She thinks it will be insulin given my history though. So, looks like I have gestational diabetes and I'm even more convinced now that I had it with Scarlett and it went undiagnosed. That could have been the actual reason she ended up stillborn :( we'll never know.

I'm relieved that something is being done now though. I'm far more impressed with this hospital, the previous one wasn't even going to test me until about 20/24 weeks and that was just a GTT. Lots to think about and read up on now.

Angel hope the scan went well. I look forward to them and don't in equal measures I think, I can still remember the scan with Scarlett where they told us she had no heartbeat, vivedly.

jane good luck for your wedding and with the TTC. Hope you feel less stressed this month after the break.

green definitely agree with the no stress but I find that hard myself, I'm always getting stressed.

blue I wasn't sure when I ovulated either, I had a really long cycle with this pregnancy but it worked. Fingers crossed for you. You should definitely ask about your cycle in my opinion, may as well and they might be able to help you with it.

Mel good luck and hope you get that bfp this cycle. Are you going to ask to be signed off for a while? I hope the gp appointment goes well.

AngelGeorgie · 12/09/2011 17:50

Mel & Blue hope your bodies settle soon. It's very frustrating isn t it? Good luck at the Drs.
cheese glad they are taking good care of you and GD. X
Green at least you re house plans are coming together. Hopefully , will take your mind off work. You know the old saying:" new house new baby"!!!!
Jane wow not long to your wedding? How exciting. You got much left to do? Are you going on honeymoon anywhere?
Too hope you re ok, I don t think any of us can approach scans without horrible thoughts coming flooding back. Even, now after 9 good scans I don t particularly relax throughout them they are a means to an end.
Hi all: my scan was good GILS already weighing about 6 lbs. She's a BIG girl we could see her lungs and chest cavity expanding and even hair on her head. Wink
1 last scan to get through.; a month today ; on Georgie's birthday. Mmm... Bittersweet, xcc

Bluetinkerbell · 12/09/2011 18:15

Angel yay for your BIG girl!

Cheese good that you have some pro-active people around you!

Right so been to GP... when I checked I saw my appointment was with the one doctor I didn't want... should have checked I know.
Told her about my hip pains, as that and my headaches are really annoying me.
She checked me out and decided I need to go for an x-ray of my pelvis. According to their medical records I had pelvic floor surgery back in June. I said to her, didn't have anything to do with my pelvic floor, they had to remove my placenta manually after giving birth to my little girl.
About the headaches she said it's tension headaches, and I know it is, all stress-related, had it in the past, nothing to do about, except to relax! Easier said than done!
Didn't mention anything about my cycle or symptoms, just asked when I should go for this x-ray as I might be pregnant. She just said 'oh' and then said I should wait until I'm absolutely sure I'm not pregnant. Hmm

Came home after that and started crying...
Just wondering if a normal doctor would have picked up on my situation and asked why I have stress? Cause I think it is all related!

OP posts:
ciwi · 12/09/2011 19:28

blue i really feel for you. I eventually found a doctor that was really good and she always asks how I am feeling even if I go in for thyroid tests or something. The other thing that has really helped me is acupuncture, the acupuncturist takes a detailed history from you and takes emotional, psychological and phyical symptoms into account before deciding how to treat you. I think it has really helped me and it can help shorten cycles too. Fx you already have your bfp though so won't need it x
mel Hope you get your bfp this month too and green it must be very frustrating to not know when to test x
angel yay for the good scan, glad Gils is growing well x
jane how exciting, having your wedding coming up! you will have a lovely day x
Waves to everyone else x
Not much to report here except that my morning sickness seems to be getting worse! at 13 and a half weeks I really hoped it would start getting better, also my wardrode is getting to be extremely limited, think I might have to be brave and get the maternity clothes out of the loft soon. Anyone else in maternity wear yet? It's mainly trousers and jeans I need, tops are fine.
