mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 13:47

G4P - Apart from tired how are you feeling? I'm really sorry for what happened to you. I hope your ok. Glad to hear you havent got a mad son on your hands!

jinglediddle · 12/12/2005 13:54

going4potty - i can totally sympathise with you, i AM a childminder and I had no time off with my 2nd miscarriage and i was exhausted with 3 toddlers and school runs etc to do. He's much better off at the childminders, occupied and being worn out.
I've only got one at the moment though and he;'s happily lining up the cars along my carpet bless him.

How are you feeling?

I am fine, still bloated, but have found two pairs of stretchy large trousers from my bigger days. The stiches are sore, especially the one in my navel! Actually not as bad as i thought, at least they dont look infected or anything. With working for nhs, you cant help worryingabout that.

going4potty · 12/12/2005 14:08

So have you guessed the mystery celebrity? How glamourous

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 14:10

G4P - Glad you seem good, stretchy pants are a godsend! AF days always needed stretchy pants. Best thing since sliced bread....... (what was the best thing before sliced bread?)

Has anyone heard from aprilgirl recently? I'm getting abit worried.

mygarland · 12/12/2005 14:23

Morning (afternoon), sorry just got on we're all poorly in our house atm, baby been the worst had really bad week with her. But it was dd1 who was sick at 2am in the top bunk so it covered dd2 on the bottom! [gross emoticon] then I couldn't get back to sleep after changing the bed and giving her a shower (sick in her hair!). dd2 was at school this am and had meeting bout her starting school after xmas. so dh had day off work cos he's not too well and looked after dd1&3. I'm not too fanastic myself but cos I'm not a man I'm not dying of flu!

ASH - i wish I'd gone to a BF support group could've done with it and it would be nice to go do's. I can't beleive yr boss. Bless u for worrying where we all were this am. Oooooooooooooh fame in the family you MUST cat me to say who he is!
MXW can't beleive yr boss ewither

Carly - u back from dentist yet? hope it doesn't hurt too much. If af not here then good sign honey.
XACK - if u've still not got af then that's good news too.
I don't think bd has worked for us this month as I'm clumsy already and CD28 is Sat.

Mincepee- strange dc perhaps it is the hormones like diddle said? Enjoy yr time off work.

Afternoon Diddle, nikki, G4P and any1 else, x

going4potty · 12/12/2005 14:23

mygarland · 12/12/2005 14:27

Ohhhhhhhhhh forgot to say diddle gorgeous lights and a HUGE house! But how do u get all those lights up and then back down? x

jinglediddle · 12/12/2005 14:35

mygarland - the lights are of a house in america, only the americans could be so fab with their lights. bless you for beliveing me though.
Wish our house was that huge. Those lights were on the news last week. they're fab, i guess they must be hooked up to a computer.

going4potty · 12/12/2005 14:45

diddle, thought that was your house too. I did wonder how many children you had to mind, just to pay the electric bull

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 14:48

Didds - You had us all believing you! lol. could have kept that going for ages.

going4potty · 12/12/2005 15:21

god, i dont know what to do with myself, not use to being home in the day. If i wasnt supose to be resting,at least i could do some cleaning etc.

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 15:43

go to sleep, watch a film, read a book. Have a soak in the bath?

going4potty · 12/12/2005 16:00

done, done, done and not allowed . Mind you ds home soon, so i wont be bored long.

mygarland · 12/12/2005 16:04

Didds u naughty girl, tricking us like that!
There are some lovely full house and garden lights in the girls' school's street like that except they don't flash!

Well got all kids at home now and I'm looking thru my xmas tv pages to plan what to watch! Plusa still got those last few pressies to buy but dh keeps interupting me.

going4potty · 12/12/2005 16:11

garland, how old are your kids and what do you sedate them with, that they allow you to even look at a xmas tv guide?

mygarland · 12/12/2005 16:14

dd1 is 6, dd2 is 4 and dd3 is 8 months.
I sedate them all with cbeebies!

going4potty · 12/12/2005 16:18

ah, it is a wonder drug, in widespread use.

mygarland · 12/12/2005 16:21

I feel quite cruel actually cos even the 8 month old knows the theme tunes she esp loves the fimbles!
Tis the best (legal) drug going!

going4potty · 12/12/2005 16:27

i know what you mean. but i think if it keeps you sane and loving being with them, why not.? activities without tv are great fun,but at times you need quick solutions or just a rest

mumsXMASwish · 12/12/2005 16:48

TV rules.

Me and DF keep argiuing about this. I've said where is the problem when it is teaching them stuff anyway and he thinks that kids shouldnt be allowed to watch tv until they've done educational stuff. I agree kinda. No tv till homework done but he thinks no tv till kid is at least 3 and even then only after he's done some times tables etc. Cos aparently our kids are gonna be geniouses. lol with my brains?

going4potty · 12/12/2005 17:04

know what your saying, ds goes to childminder when im working and the two days i dont he goes to religious based nursery during term time for a couple of hours, for me to have me time. So when i do have him with me i do like to do things with him, but not allways the best thing for the time available. Eg if he is tired, going to the park or flashcards are not exactly helpful. But cuddling on tv 2gether, is great time for physical bonding.

going4potty · 12/12/2005 17:10

i know i shouldnt feel guilty about me time, but i do. so im gonna justify myself and say he has only started this nursery this sept!

jinglediddle · 12/12/2005 17:33

its very quiet on here!! where are you all.

Xack have you heard from Ash this afternoon??
