Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

cacacaz I would guess you could poas at the start of September about the 1st or 2nd? Symptom spotting gets obsessive doesn't it! I'm permanently at it!

mrsshears · 25/08/2011 07:55

well i'm thoroughly naffed of this morning

I poas this morning at 8dpo and got a bfn,i really dont know why i do this to myself, that said i had always thought i would test today as i go on holiday tomorrow,so reckon i can excpect a visit from af now on my hols Angry

musicalmrs · 25/08/2011 08:00

Hi Cacacaz - in a very similar situation to you pill and cycle wise- almost identical date wise in fact! My sex drive has improved too, which has cheered up my DH (although after so much SWI he's probably regretting it a little!).

The DH and I decided we'd probably wait until mid Sept - mainly because I know a negative BFN would be more disappointing than the appearance of AF! However, I have a couple of HPTs arriving with my shopping on the 2nd, so I may well crack before then!

I was obsessively symptom spotting until yesterday, when a veil of calm descended upon me! I'm sure the obsession will return imminently though..

festiemum · 25/08/2011 10:08

Symptom spotting is where madness lies.... We all do it though :o

Well, I don't know what to think, and am pretty f-ed off all told.

This morning, FMU, sensitive test, nearly a week since af due and, as before the faintest, barely perceptible line ever. It's messing with my mind completely.

DH suggested I try to put it out of my mind, and give it a full week until I test again, and that is a very sensible suggestion, but I fear I may go bonkers in the meantime....

Who knows? My coil only came out last month, and I'm going by the bleed I had since then, so my dates could be completely out. I think I really am just going to have to wait and see. Grrrrrrr.... Angry

Quenelle · 25/08/2011 10:23

Thanks for the commiserations folks. AF's not due until Monday but she's on her way. I can feel the PMT starting to build. I actually feel like I could kill someone in the office today.

Badger sounds like you have had to make some very tough decisions. You deserve problem-free TTC and pregnancy.

Sorry to hear you're out orangehead. I hope it happens for you soon and we don't meet on another bus (in the nicest possible way). Keep on running Smile

Festie I don't know what to think. Your DH is right, time will tell, but time doesn't go fast enough for us sometimes does it?

Kveta · 25/08/2011 10:29

well it looks like my BFP may have become a less P - started bleeding last night, so think I may be losing it. am feeling a wee bit sad, but quite philosophical about the whole thing. and there's always next month. am now annoyed that i wasted 3 tests :o will test again next week just to be sure it has actually gone, and this isn't just breakthrough bleeding. but mentally i feel it is the end for this one. may see you on future buses!!

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 10:30

Quenelle, I'll be honest, I ALWAYS feel like killing someone in the office - usually my boss, who is a knob! :o

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 10:31

Ah Kveta, so sorry to hear that, but hang in there, like you said, it may just be breakthrough bleeding. My mother apparently continued to have periods for the first 3 months or so when she was pregnant with me, so it took her a while to realise she was actually pregnant...and there's nothing wrong with me (twitch!) :)

Fingers crossed x

Quenelle · 25/08/2011 10:53

Oh Kveta I so hope it is just breakthrough bleeding. How many weeks do you think you are? I had a bleed at 6 weeks and they found a heartbeat with a TV scan. Are you much earlier?

Quenelle · 25/08/2011 10:54

desperateoldie67 I have to go into a long team meeting in a minute, God help them all.

festiemum · 25/08/2011 11:03

Oh Kveta, it's so horrible not knowing what's going on one way or t'other. That said; I had breakthrough bleeding at 6 and 11 weeks with my first; both with quite nasty cramps, and I was sure I was losing her. But she's now a bloody healthy 7 year-old - seems hard to believe in retrospect!
Fingers crossed it's just a bit of breakthrough - apparently it's very common. xxxx

festiemum · 25/08/2011 11:05

Quenelle I fear for your colleagues!! Wink

And yeah, thanks; it is just a case of waiting and seeing now. How twitchy am I gonna get?!!

RIBS · 25/08/2011 13:12

Im out!!! Angry Despite hopes being raised of spotting and implantation its turned out the old cow has just been taking her time to get here.
Oh well June/July might be better anyway. HHhmmmmf!!
Going to get a thermometer from amazon for basal temperature and start charting. Not sure how sucessful this will be - I may have to delegate to someone more orgainised - the dog perhaps or my 3 year old!

Kveta. with my DD, didnt know I was pg it was just bleeding and a positive test. Go to Dr's, they should refer you for a scan. I was 6 wks and there was a heartbeat. Wasnt convinced I actually was pg until I saw that!

Good luck to everyone!!!

XXX

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 13:22

Ah shucks RIBS that sucks. Come join us filthmongers on the June bus - though I'm not quite sure what I'm still doing there (apart from lowering the tone) given that I've been told not to ttc for the next three months until I'm less bonkers LOL! :o

RIBS · 25/08/2011 13:34

Hahaha. Will it take just the 3 months???
I'l join the new bus and cu there. I will help lower the tone with pus filled white heads and sausage for sex stories!!

Kveta · 25/08/2011 13:52

hi all, thanks for the positive thoughts!

DH is being lovely, i'm just a bit bewildered, but doubt there's much we can do. not sure i want the bother of a scan or anything - what will be, will be. i don't know if i should tell someone though? this is only the second time i've been pregnant so far as i know, and last time i got a baby out of it, so am not panicking yet. but am not sure if i should speak to a GP or midwife to get it on record that i've lost a pregnancy, or not worry about it until i'm pregnant again?

i think i'm 4 or 5 weeks btw, so there wouldn't be anything to detect with a TV scan yet.

oh well.

mildertduck · 25/08/2011 13:52

Oh kveta I really hope it's nothing to be worried about... fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Badger, I am indeed the one with the pizza dough boobs Grin - and they are still achey as fuck today. Felt a bit peaky this morning but having inhaled a sandwich I feel a bit better. My internet cheapies at home are singing sweet songs of 'pee on me! pee on me!' but I would feel so deflated (excuse pun) to have a no still, and I'm only 11 DPO so I shall be strong. STRONG I SAY.

It was just as well Tesco are out of First Response early tests, though. Oh, the shame.

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 14:02

Cheeky RIBS!! Apparently, yes it will, but seeing as I've only really been a modicum of sane for about 18 months of my (very nearly) 44 years, I'm not holding me breath! :o Can we try and stay off the topic of exploding zits though...I have a weak stomach at the best of times LOL!

Step AWAY from the pee sticks oh quacky one! :o

HeidiHole · 25/08/2011 15:44

Oh everything seems to be a bit 'down' at the moment. Sorry to everyone having a shit time of it. I'm thinking of you all and wishing it could be easier.

I think that we really really deserve a BFP on this thread soon! please let it be me, please let it be me

I'm just hanging out in the 2ww only about 3dpo at the moment though so nothing exciting to report :o

mrsshears · 25/08/2011 20:33

I'm off on my hols now,i wont be back until the 4th,AF is due on monday so time will tell.....

desperateoldie67 · 25/08/2011 20:42

Have lovely hols mrsshears - see you when you get back...hopefully with a BFP! Fingers crossed :)

mrsshears · 25/08/2011 21:22

thanks desperate i will let you know Smile

GTR2882 · 26/08/2011 08:10

Morning ladies

It's been a while, sorry to hear BFNs and bad news - fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies!!! I still don't know if I have even ov'd yet, tis driving me to drink (quite literally, had a few last night!!).

Anyway, my latest conundrum is this - i think that ov has either occurred or is just about to (have been having slight twinges and very mild af like cramps on and off) and i may (or may not) have had a positive on my OPK on CD11 (i think that this is too early but time will tell) and on CD13 - we have been at it like rabbits since Sunday and even managed a quickie last night before we went out!! Now, if i do ov today or tomorrow, should I still be having SWI or do you think it would be ok to have a couple of days off (poor DH does not know what's hit him!). It could be that i ov'd yesterday in which case there should be, theoretically speaking, enough of his swimmers up there to connect with eggy if she makes an appearance! And if i ov today, well again we had SWI yesterday so timing on that front should be enough!! My temps have risen over the last 3 days but FF has not detected ov yet, and my cervix seems to be moving back into a low position after being high(ish) for the last few days!

Sorry for the essay, just want to make sure i time everything to perfection so that i can catch that mystical BFP that i am searching for Grin

HeidiHole · 26/08/2011 09:34

GTR2882 what CD are you on now?

GTR2882 · 26/08/2011 09:47

Hi Heidi, i am currently on CD14 of a normally 29 day cycle!
