Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Hey.. What days are you generally ovulating? I know everyone if different jet wondered what the general consensus was ish? I'm on cd15 now and neg opk's since day 10 however I might not even ovulate this
Month (it's the first month nice lap drilling... We'll see

pinkapples I am with you - I think I am due to O on 27th/28th (would be around CD 14/15) but not sure as I didn't O at all in June/July cycle and so far my OPKs are negative and CM on the creamy side so don't really know what's going on with my body at the moment - not very helpful for this TTC malarkey!

You have all my sympathy mildertduck I'm about 4DPO too and going ever so slightly bonkers with every little twinge.

Gah, sorry to those having rotten days/weeks. Know the feeling. 12DPO today and going kerazy! I'm not sure if I'm symptom-spotting or actually just symptom-imagining! Well, I guess I'll know next when when the Old Hag either shows her face, or doesn't....

Hi folks. Thanks for the nice messages after my previous post. Truth is I have no clue what's going on.

Had the spotting on monday night which I believed was AF, but since that, nothing! All pg tests were coming back -, then this am, got a really faint +. It looks very, very faint (could almost miss it), but appeared in time not to be evap, and appears to have some pink colour. Completely freaked out and went to the GP (not my regular one, he is on holiday). She did another test (not fmu) and of course it was - ! She said the other tests must have been faulty (on three different brands of test???? ) She said a + wouldn't show up until 14 DPO, I couldn't have been pg at all, and was probably just about to have a "normal" period. 5 days late. After 3 faint + pg tests. She was very nice, but I felt it was a waste of time. Even if it was a chemical pg, I want it recorded on my notes. 7 weeks after a mc, this is so not what I need.

Well Catsy I'm not sure I would entirely rule yourself out just yet then if AF hasn't arrived in full force and effect, and especially as you've had faint +s on pg tests. Hang on in there. Fingers crossed!

And I think you don't need to add the (eek) after your name anymore Quenelle as I'm nearly 44 and so the oldest of us 'geriatric' trying-to-be-mums! You're positively a spring chicken honey! :)

Im 37 TTC#2 AF due between 22nd Aug 12th Sep - Vague I know.

Having SWI every other night for a hell of a long time as not sure if/when ovulating. I reckon keep at until something happens.
My little brain is on hyperdrive, came off pill in Jan and bought boots out of PG tests all with BFN (obv!!)

Watching for symptoms like a hawk, but its tempting when constantly knackered to think its bun in the oven time. When its just working/looking after child house/dp not getting enough sleep cos having it off.
However, last nite I felt a little tickle downstairs (it wasnt dp!!!) I felt that when conceived DD1. But TBH it could of just been wind!

Am giving out positive thoughts to everyone! x

Am supposed to be working - I have a letter to send out to 300 prospective trial volunteers, but I can't be arsed and MN is much more fun! :)

Not sure Catsy. Just telling myself there's no way I'm pregnant...to try and reduce disappointment levels if I'm not. Then again, as Mr. D and I have been having a very trying few weeks relationship-wise, then maybe NOT being would be best. However, I'm feeling quite bolshy at the minute, so if he doesn't like it, he can jolly well bugger off! (After which I shall dissolve into a snotty ball and wonder how the hell I'm going to feel happy ever again)...

I heard the worse you feel the stronger the pregnancy is. I felt like crap last time so worked for me.
People that feel well and look great during pregnancy should be outlawed. Its not fair on everyone else who looks/feels like death. Im not jealous at all....

Catsycat what's all that about? I would be very frustrated after a visit like that with the GP. For a start it's not accurate to say a +ve wouldn't show up until 14 DPO, plenty of people get BFPs before. How many DPO are you now? Is AF actually late?

I. am. not. pregnant! LOL! There's nothing quite like denial to keep you going through the 2WW. I'm just trying desperately not to count my chickens...or should that be eggs?

Hi Quenelle. Yes, it was pretty frustrating! I have a 23 day cycle, so AF was due on Sunday. I am never, never more than one day late. I think I am 13 DPO now. I used to have a 28 day cycle, before DD1 (who is 4 in a couple of weeks). I wonder if the ERPC could have "reset" my cycle to 28 days????? But even that wouldn't explain the + tests! Not feeling hopeful, as even if there was a pg lurking there somewhere, surely the negsative tests would indicate it wasn't doing so well....

Fingers crossed for you catsy that AF does not turn up and you get a BFP in another few days. Your body is a marvellous thing - when it works and behaves!!

Im hoping it was a bit of implantation Quenelle, or even a lot of it. I do think it may be wishful thinking on my part tho, symptom spotting like crazy. After 6 months its driving me insane. Am checking boobs and nips every 10 mins to see if they're getting bigger. (I wish). Dont feel like AF is coming anytime soon tho, despite the spots (like a bloody 13 yr old at mo - no idea whats going on with my face) Grrr.

I'm with you on the work avoidance. I've done the big bit of work that I needed to do today and there's really not much point in starting anything else since I finish soon, is there... Also with you on the bad skin. I've had a delightful breakout since returning from my holiday . Gosh I'm too cool.

Does anyone know if being extra sweaty is a sign (I know..gross!). I never EVER have stinky armpits, and yet by around 2pm, I feel like I'm starting to hum. AND my upper chest always looks flushed. As for bad skin, mine's been like it for bloody months now, it's driving me crazy! Then again, I should probably lay off squeezing and picking them, eh?

Sometimes it just has to be done. I was wandering about with a whitehead the size of an mans ear! (not hairy tho)
I have to get face all hot and steamy (under shower or over sink) B4 giving it a good old squeeze, cant just fire it off at will.

Grrrr, stupid period. And it was early. It's never early. Had high hopes for this month. Plenty of SWI'ing. And some weird heart palpitations I've had for the last week. I'd been told/read something somewhere (I'm a geek and read everything!) that they can be a sign or early pregnancy due to the surge in hormones. Tried desperately not to get my hopes up, but tis not to be this month.

Oh well, onwards and upwards.
