Hi Lugsie I'm really sorry about AF Sad

I'm 6 weeks today and getting a bit of sickness. It's worse when I'm hungry so having to keep nibbling at biscuits and stuff.

babybrain3 · 26/10/2011 21:13

Sorry about AF lugsie Sad I've been having weird spotting for the past few days.... I really am baffled....

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 26/10/2011 22:49

hey ladies. AF got me a couple of days ago. have decided to go all high-tech this month, I have a Persona kit now which I'm just starting to use (it's meant for contraception, so I guess just go for all the red days rather than the green ones!) and I'm trying to get hold of a thermometer - how can most Boots not stock them?! plus I have signed up for Fertility Friend. So some gadgets to try to keep positive with.

Plus DH and I have got an appointment with the doctor in a couple of weeks. It's been nearly a year now, so time to see what's going on. I've had a couple of tests done and all normal so far, so it may just still be a question of timing and persistence and luck, but seems better to check, and I feel better to be taking some action.

my stats are:
Wouldbemum (32) TTC#1 Cycle 11 UCL 27-31 days AF due approx 23rd Nov

Lugsie · 27/10/2011 13:09

Thanks kayzr and babybrain I'm feeling a bit brighter about the whole thing today, just want pesky af to sod off now so we can get on with this month!

kayzr keep nibbling - you have the best excuse in the world now, you're eating for two! Grin

babybrain would it be too early for implantation bleeding?

Fishpants · 27/10/2011 21:48

Aw Lugsie sorry the witch got you.

I'm feeling like a hormonal crazy person - and I'm sure it's not because I have a 2-day-old zygote in there somewhere. I'm not 100% sure of when I ovulated, the OPK lines are driving me crazy. I have actually misplaced a packet of them somewhere Hmm Hmm and have been searching for awhile and can't find them. Nearly wanted to sit down and cry, which is silly Blush

Some weird heartburn pain today which I've only ever had a couple of times in my life so that's quite annoying. Just feeling a bit down Sad

babybrain3 · 28/10/2011 07:37

Not sure about implantation as I honestly don't know what's going on with my cycles atm, have been very emotional this week though, my poor dp has had to put up with me bursting into tears for no apparent reason!!! Think I'm just feeling quite down about the whole thing...

There's the possibility that we might be moving house too as were not in the catchment area for the secondary school I want ds to go to in a couple of years.... I suppose there's just a lot going on in my little head, and it can't cope!! Sad

I've thought about going the whole hog and doing the charting thing too, I think part of me was hoping I wouldn't have to, let us know how you get on with it!!

I feel a bit like as we seem to be staying put here for the foreseeable future it would be nice to know a bit more about who we are talking to.... What does everyone else think??

I am 29, live near Leicester with dp ds 9, dd 8, and 2 guinea pigs. It will be dps first baby, so quite exiting!!! I think it will be like having a first baby for me too though as it is so long since I had dd I think I will have forgotten everythingConfused

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 28/10/2011 19:18

I know what you mean babybrain, I thought I'd be able to get away without all the hassle of charting, but as each month goes by I'm ready to try something else. am considering acupuncture as well.

we do seem to be here for a while. I'm 32, nearly 33, and live in London with DH. which is very bland I know! no pets, no children - yet!

thanks for the welcome Lugsie, nice to have some 'old friends' here! sorry AF got you too.

babybrain3 · 02/11/2011 17:35

It's got very quiet on here all of a sudden, how are you getting on with the charting wouldbe?

Is anyone testing anytime soon???

Fishpond · 02/11/2011 18:22

I, too, noticed the tumbleweeds.

I'm testing on November 6. It will be very early days but according to First Reponse's leaflet 68% of pg women will get a positive on that day so hoping I'm in the 68!

mrssparky · 02/11/2011 21:32

Hey, can I join? :) I have just spent ages reading this whole thread, and could do with people in the same situation to talk to...my DH switches off when I bring the subject up! :(
I'm a day or 2 late for AF, having some cramping, but have had for a week or so, but am getting BFN hpt results...boo.

babybrain3 · 03/11/2011 07:01

Welcome mrssparky well done for reading the whole thread, that must have taken you ages!!!!

Hope AF doesn't turn up and you get you BFP, how long have you been ttc?? Grin

mrssparky · 03/11/2011 09:08

My stats are mrssparky(26) TTC#4 cycle 2 UCL 31 AF due 1st Nov
It took me ages to read the thread, but its a lovely thread
I've always wanted a big family and after some gentle persuasion :o my DH agreed to let us try... seems like its taking forever and i think I've gone through about 50 hpts...oops Blush becoming a bit obsessed!!
Lovely to know a bit more about you all.
I am 26, live near Wigan, work part time as a nurse. Have 3 DS's aged nearly 5, 3 and 1, a dog, 2 cats and a guinea pig!

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 03/11/2011 22:02

hey mrssparky, welcome!

I still haven't managed to buy a thermometer, but I'm using Fertility Friend and Persona and trying to be consistent with the OPK sticks this month. It gives me something to faff around with if nothing else ...... Wink

Day 10 here so this month is still all to play for .....

babybrain3 · 04/11/2011 07:04

We've had a bit of an 'off' month this time round, only ttc once... I think it can get you down after a while and you need a bit of a break. Especially as I was so convinced we had done it last month...

I think I will be a bit more positive next month. Smile

peapop · 04/11/2011 17:42

Welcome aboard mrssparky

wouldbemum I totally agree with you, I've found temping really helps make you feel like you're actually doing something positive to help things along!

babybrain so sorry you've had an off month, it really takes it out of you as a couple though doesn't it.

I'm finally starting to feel a bit more normal now but only just. It's been 3 weeks since mc now and we've decided we'll just keep trying. We were told at the hospital that GPs generally only tell you to wait a month as they can then date your pregnancy but the nurse said if we're happy to then just go ahead and try, why wait! So that's what we're doing! Smile Have started temping again, 24 days in and I haven't ov yet so think I'm in for a super long cycle! Swaying between feeling really keen about trying again to feeling super scared of the whole thing!

Anyway hope you all have some lovely plans for the weekend and bonfire night! Smile

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 05/11/2011 10:53

got a positive OPK stick yesterday afternoon, so Fertility Friend gave me a lovely green day on my calendar. perfect timing for the weekend! and we swi-ed last night, so hopefully the techie approach will help this month! seeing the GP on Weds so we can start getting tests ordered if need be. FX we are overtaken by events!

hope you're feeling the benefit of the break babybrain and more positive about it all.

going to try again to buy a thermometer today. good to hear from you peapop and really impressed at how positive you are - an example for us all! Smile have a lovely weekend yourself!

XboxWidow30 · 07/11/2011 10:05

Hello everyone, I have been sent here by peapop. I am TTC#5 after a recent mc. We have 4 lovely children but number 5 is most wanted. I mc 4 weeks ago and have just had first AF so am now into my first proper cycle and am always as regular as clockwork! All other children were concieved fairly quickly but am now overcome by this huge range of emotions about when it will happen again, if it will happen and when it does I will be terrified of mc.

Waving Hello to everyone. :)

mrssparky · 07/11/2011 12:50

hello xboxwidow, welcome. Sorry to hear about your m/c. :( Apart from the recent m/c you sound like you are in similar position to me...except you're 1 baby ahead! My other 3 were conceived first time of trying.
AF came today, 5 days late but I am relieved as was beginning to wonder what was going on.
All the best for this month wouldbe!

peapop · 07/11/2011 17:23

Hi xboxwidow good to see you on here! fx for you that your stay is a short one though but remember you can tell us how you're feeling anytime, even have a good old rant! That's why we're all here and these ladies are all so lovely!

mrssparky sorry af got you but glad you know where you are with it now, all the best for this month!

wouldbe how you getting on? any symptoms or is it to early to tell? keeping my fx for you!

1sttimetryer · 07/11/2011 21:22

Hi All, Havent been on here for a while, was getting a bit obsessive!! will try and catch up with everything but could take a while!
Congrats to all the bfp's while i have been away.
Now been diagnosed with pcos and am no longer having periods, any advice on how to get them back would be appriciated!! Getting a bit fed up with it all to be honest, any other pcos's who have any advice on how to deal with pcos or anything that might be of any help please let me know. It would be great appreciated.

Hi 1sttime and welcome xbox

Well, my cycles have continued to get shorter....this months was 21days.... AF arrived this morning, how on earth am I supposed to work out the best time to dtd if they keep getting shorter?!?!?! Confused grrr

Hows everyone else doing? Anyone got any symptoms??

babybrain3 · 08/11/2011 07:12

And welcome mrssparky too Grin

mrssparky · 08/11/2011 09:43

Thanks Peapop and Babybrain. Im determined not to get as obsessive this month. It ends up being all I think about and then when I'm getting bfn I am miserable the whole day!
For those that have been temping, how easy is it?? I read you need to do it at the same time each morning and after at least 3 hours sleep. So if you get up for the loo in the night, 3 hours before you get up will temps be inaccurate? Thinking of giving it a go :)
How is everyone else getting on? xxx

peapop · 09/11/2011 20:14

I temp mrssparky it is really easy and I do find it very helpful, also gives you something to do to help make it feel like you're actively doing something if you see what I mean Hmm

I think the advice for night waking is if it's near the time you usually get up then take your temp then but if its in the middle of the night then wait til morning as you need to try and do it at the same time each day. I use fertility friend website to chart mine and it is really helpful, loads of advice to help.

I'm on cd29 and fertility friend says I ovulated on cd26 which took me by surprise really as thought it would be a really long cycle as post mc. Don't think we really swi enough to be in with a chance but I'm not putting any pressure on myself this month. Obv I would be over the moon if it did happen, I suppose I'm a bit scared to get my hopes up so soon after mc.

Hope everyone else is ok, anyone due to test??

babybrain3 · 11/11/2011 07:08

Right, that's it, AF out of the way... I am determined to make much more of an effort this month after our break... My app says that my fertile time is next weekend, so to be on the safe side, I shall be badgering DP all next week right into the weekend-whether he likes it or not! Wink I will get pregnant again!!! Grin
