There's only one question on my mind: Am I pregnant? Did it happen this time? But no-one can tell me! Am only 5dpo so def no way of telling. Sitting symptom spotting and troughing down mini eggs thinking, could be pg/likely to be pms. Not even like I expect anyone to be able to give any advice or look into crystal balls...just wanted to say on here, I find it quite annoying. Roll on next week...

Top strength painkillers are the way to go!

Bexamundo · 27/04/2011 17:57

upgraded from paracetamol to co-codamol. Why is she so mean?!
DH has come in and put a load of washing on and started tea. I feel like crap but also very blessed!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 27/04/2011 21:18

Lucky thing. DP is away with work for a few days so I am having to make my own tea. Pah. Is the co-codamol helping?

Bexamundo · 27/04/2011 21:28

Been suffering so that I can have some nearer to bed time. Dh sent me to bed cos I was squealing in pain! Watching Harry Potter and the half blood prince in.a clean bed.
Boo to dp being away and you having to.make your own tea!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 28/04/2011 06:28

Do you get pain all the way through, or just at the beginning? Hope you're feeling better this morning.

Bexamundo · 28/04/2011 07:00

Usually crampy/achey especially back for a few days before. Agony on cd1, mild discomfort day 2. By day 3 the worst is over, usually down to spotting by day 4! That's a weird thing coming off POP, used to have longer af.
Bless poor lady in Boots, I bought pregnacare conception tablets (for him and her) and co-codamol yesterday. She asked if they were for me then went 'ooh you're pg are you?'. Me, a little narked said 'nope, if I was pg I wouldn't need the co-codamol for my period pain!'.
One day til I go on holiday!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 28/04/2011 07:05

I used to have longer periods too, but bizarrely this one seems to have just finished after only four days! Not that I'm complaining. Where are you going for your hols (if you don't mind the question)? Have a lovely time.

Bexamundo · 28/04/2011 07:37

Don't mind at all! Family holiday to lake district. Me, Dh, Dsis, bro in law, Dad.and DNEPHEW (19 months old and totally gorgeous but a but of a monkey!). Got a cottage for a week
Suppose I best go to work!

OP posts:
Bexamundo · 28/04/2011 18:18

Bleh what a day! Busy busy busy tying up loose ends and making sure everyone knows what jobs they have to do (I co-ordinate the staff to do jobs to help get patients discharge) before I go on holiday and of course there's the stress of another 4 day weekend. I swear, it's nice to have all the time off but a 3 day week is rather intense!
Anyhoo. Work is done yay! However, AF has been super heavy and I've felt pretty rough with it. Also feel quite down. Bleurgh.
To top it all off my friend's fella has walked out on her - it's not the first time, she was the other women and he left for his wife but it seems he can't make his mind up. Think it'll be the last though. She can't trust him! She's totally shell shocked because no-one saw it coming. We all work together (awkward no?) and he said he was going to the dentist, seemed quite happy. He went home to her house and bags his bags.
Know it's not about ttc but I just felt like I could tell you guys.

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 28/04/2011 18:37

Oh my God, the poor woman! Has he gone back to the wife again? How long had he stayed with your friend this time? It's pretty crap of him to have pretended to go to the dentist! What a jerk! How is she doing?

PatientGriselda · 28/04/2011 18:39

Speaking of things you can only admit here - please tell me that there is really really no point in testing tomorrow morning just because my period was (ooh! significant!) a whole day shorter than normal.

Bexamundo · 28/04/2011 18:48

Yes he moved back in with his doormat wife that makes him miserable (I don't know her but working with him when he's living with her is not easy!). He was with my friend for 9 weeks this time, one of the longest times. He is essentially having cake and eating it.
There is no point in wasting money testing. Do you have any cheapo tests you can squander? I did that last month!

DizzyKipper · 29/04/2011 08:32

Gah am back - internet got cut off Blush

How's your friend holding up? Some men can be quite cowardly. I'd imagine both your friend and his wife would be better off without him - sneaking behind their backs and picking and choosing as he feels like isn't going to do either of them any good.

And sorry to say it (and also had this temptation myself) but it's probably not worth testing right now, best to save the test for that BFP next cycle Wink.
Speaking of which, just realised that OH is going away on a work holiday around my most fertile time! Can do it before and after, but not during, so pretty sure they'll be no BFP for me this cycle either.

PatientGriselda · 29/04/2011 08:36

Dizzy! I thought you'd abandoned us! Glad to hear internet is restored for you.

Managed to overcome the temptation to test this morning (a mere 2 days after period, and without having had any sex for a fortnight!). I am so mature and restrained :o

DizzyKipper · 29/04/2011 08:41

lol I was trying quite feebly to access mumsnet through my phone - not at all a sign of desperation - poor connection and time outs had me give up.

Bexamundo · 29/04/2011 10:21

Waiting to hear back from friend. Yes he very much has cake and eats it. Both would be better off without him yet don't seem able to walk away.y friend would have liked another kid (her DD is 11) but has been on off with him for 4 years and has missed out. He had snip so no chance there and no-one else got a look in. She's now 41 and thinks age gap would be too much. She put her life on hold for him for nothing. Dh is sick of me going on about it. Tis healthy to rant on here!
Welcome back Dizzy, we did miss you! Glad you're ok sorry about lack of opp this cycle. Try to dtd as much as poss before he .leaves just in case!
I too am having short af, she's packing her bags as we speak 48 hours after she arrived.
I usually do MN on phone as I have a smart phone. Hence the weird spelling and random . All the time!

Lying wide awake next to a snoring DP at te house of some friends. How soon can I reasonably get up or at least wake him? I reckon I need to fill at least two hours first. Gah.

Bexamundo · 30/04/2011 07:43

I reckon you can get up now. I'm wide awake first day of holiday. Cos it's ky family not so.bad, got up to make cuppa had to do one for everyone! Gah I used to be able to lie in til last year- it's the regular hours that break that habit. Now 7 feels like a lie in!
Af has pretty done now. Already had a temp.spike, bit weird, too early to ovulate surely? But will ensure he produces the goods tonight just in case!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 30/04/2011 08:20

I've had a shower, but still no one else is stirring! Have moisturised thoroughly to kill time and am now back in bed with a book. But really I want DP to bloody wake up.

How are the Lakes?

Bexamundo · 30/04/2011 08:56

Weather lovely. Dh ill (again), loose stools and stomach cramps. For some reason it really irritates me when he's ill. This happens quite frequently, say once a month. He has to see Gp about depression soon anyway so he's agreed to mention it then. He won't go anywhere today cos he wants to be near a loo.great start to holiday!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 30/04/2011 15:46

Oh no, you sonud like a poorly pair! I know what you mean about getting very irritated about sick partners. I think its an instinctve thing - we want to leave them behind for the good of the herd! Hope he feels better soon.

Bexamundo · 30/04/2011 16:51

Hooray, had a lovely 4 mile walk, lovely vuews, glorious sunshine. Dh felt well enough to join us for a drink and pootle round shops.
What you two up to this weekend?
On the main topic, Dh is confident I will get up the duffer this cycle. I am not! Still spotting and have thrush :s thankfully found a chemist and got canestan. Would go mad otherwise!

Just got back from my mum's - was her birthday so went round early and spent the day with family, me and OH cooked a BBQ for everyone. Am now back, cocktail in hand, chocolate at the ready, trying to relax (not feeling all too great with the emotions that being with family sometimes brings up).
Tomorrow we're cooking a roast for OH's family - I quite like to cook a roast, but would sortof like a day off where I get to do absolutely nothing before going back to work on Monday. But I'll get that on Thursday.

Sorry to hear your holiday didn't get off to the best start bex, but at least your DH is maintaining such a positive outlook for this cycle, hopefully positive thinking will get positive results Wink.

Are you still staying at friends Griselda?

PatientGriselda · 30/04/2011 23:25

Visiting friends with DP. Time so far spent wandering round antique shops and cafes, mixed with shagging. Probably a bit early, cycle-wise, but never mind.

PatientGriselda · 30/04/2011 23:28

Ooh weird, your post didn't show up before mine, kipper! Sorry to hear you feel a bit churned up by family stuff :( Hope you are feeling better now. Does it always have that effect on you?
