thanks sh i think ill try that ive got nothing to lose. Should save me a fortune in alcohol

Stockinghanger · 23/11/2005 09:52

Oh it will carly!! Only takes me a couple of glasses of wine and I'm dancing onthe tables and the life and sole of any party

I hope you DP cames round when you see him later. I hate leaving arguements, especially now DH works nights and has to travel a long way to work (we live in south east Kent and he works in West London). So, we try to make up before he goes

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 10:27

It only takes me a couple of glasses of wine and I'm dancing on the tables too, Thats what DF said attracted him to me. I cant work out if it was the dancing on the tables or the cheap night!!

I'm soooo bored at work. I'm just waiting for the phone to ring, I'm so bored.

wishingchair · 23/11/2005 10:36

Hello everyone - how you all doing? As you know I'm a bit of a sporadic lurker/poster as only work part time and have to travel a bit but do try to keep in touch with what you're all up to.

Soooo, last night my bessie mate found out she was pg. She'd said earlier this month that she reckoned we'd both get pg together. I've been ttc now for 6 months and yesterday was on CD22. Was just about to go to bed and thought why not do a test. CD22 is so early but my cycle is anywhere between 24 -28 days so not too crazy. Anyway I did it and there was a really really faint line. Did it again this morning (different brand) and again, a really really faint line. Kind of wish I hadn't done it now ... my experience is even a faint line is a positive ... but now if af starts, I'll be gutted. What do you reckon?? Haven't mentioned it to anyone. DH is away at the mo, back Sat. Hope to have a defo BFP to show him when he walks through the door!

As is typical - after months of really moderate drinking - only 1-2 glasses of wine and then only at weekends - got absolutely hammered both Fri and Sat night. Sigh

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 10:38

Wishingchair!!

Thats sooooo great!!! You're prob pg cos you got drunk!! It's soooo great! Have you tried clear blue? From what I hear it's the best brand! Oh I'm so excited for you

Stockinghanger · 23/11/2005 10:39

CONGRATULATIONS Wichingchair!! We don't hear from you for so long but you make up for it with fabby news like that

A faint line is a line and it is quite early so it will get darker. Do a test first thing SAturday mornign and that should give you the strong positive to show DH

Congrat s again hun, and how spooky! you and bezzie mate PG at the same time!

wishingchair · 23/11/2005 10:58

Thanks everyone. Do you really think this is it?? Can't stop grinning - am sooo excited.

Yes really weird about my friend - we've been friends since school so would be lovely to go through this. Am trying not to think about how awful it would be if I lost this little one as well. Am just being really positive ... it's so early anyway but am just so HAPPY !!!!!!

Stockinghanger · 23/11/2005 11:00

Thats a good girl! (slightly patronising i know...) keep positive If its meant to be... and all that....

carlychristmas · 23/11/2005 11:05

just wanted to say a huge congratulations on your bfp !!!!! Cmon girls surely its got to be us next especially sods law and that so none of us can get p*ed at christmas parties

Stockinghanger · 23/11/2005 11:08

Well, I'm secret concerned that I am going to get p**sed on CD26 on Saturday ( big meet up). Not that I think I'm PG, chance would be a fine thing, but you know, the thoughts in the back of my mind! Would be sods law that after drinking Italy dry of wine I will get a BFP next week

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 11:29

I don't understand what all the worry is about being drunk in the first few weeks of pg. My mum was plastered the day I was due & I still stayed there for an extra 2 weeks. Most people get pg after a drunken night and go on to have healthy babies.
Think of all the people that get p**d on a regular basis and take drugs all whilst pg and have healthy (all be it with withdrawal symptoms) babies.

I know its prob a view that only I have but being drunk when you're not sure isnt the end of the world. I only think its bad if you get drunk once you know you're pg (even docs agree with me, or mine do anyway)

Hope I don't make anyone mad

carlychristmas · 23/11/2005 11:33

not at all mums all i meant was when i was preg with my ds2 i had morning sickness throughout the xmas period (was between 11 and thirteen weeks) and couldnt stomach the smell of drink let alone the taste of it. What made it worse was my then p was plastered and i couldnt go near him cos he stunk of alcohol

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 11:40

ewwww lovely!!

Sorry Carly, I'll get off my horse now! lol.

I hope you all get pg by xmas. I on the other hand have to wait another few months to get hosue sorted before we can ttc. But I don't care.... I'm getting a HOUSE!! HE HE HE (well ok, I care a lot but I've got things to keep my mind off it)

carlychristmas · 23/11/2005 11:45

my af is due around 12 december so if im not pg my af would have came and gone by christmas then ill start again in the new year theres nothing like a fresh start is there?

jinglediddle · 23/11/2005 11:49

well i am loving the smell of alcohol, and seriosuly wishing i could ahve a drink. i'm really missing it!

congrats wishingchair, thats fab news, very spooky that both you and your friend are at the same time. thats just what happened with me a lottielou - we both tried for 6 motnhs and then have got preggers together.

excuse the typos, can't be arsed to correct them

carlychristmas · 23/11/2005 11:52

well it wasnt just alcohol to be honest it was everything i remember having a cold and blowing my nose, smelt the tissue and promptly threw up!!

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 12:02

right girls I'm off for some lunch. Speak to you later.

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 13:02

Well I'm back from lunch and no-ones been talking! whats going on? This used to be such a chatty thread and now no-one is talking.

Yawn

jinglediddle · 23/11/2005 13:22

busy entertaining the kids and wrapping xmas pressies mumsxmaswish. haven't stopped today.

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 13:24

Wrapping them already diddle? It's not even december yet.

jinglediddle · 23/11/2005 13:27

yep, all the present i've bought have been wrapped as i got them, so i'm totally ready, they just need ribbon putting on before i dish them out, but i didn't want it to get squished while they're all piled up on top of each other.
only got 7 presents to buy now apart from DH.

mumsXMASwish · 23/11/2005 13:35

I've only got a few to buy now as wel to be honest. I did all my xmas shopping on the net tho. As most of the things everyone wanted was specialist stuff (eg: I found a basketball themed chess set for my lovely guy) Everything else I'll be getting from places like woolies (Mp3 Player for him) and Book Shops etc

Stockinghanger · 23/11/2005 14:01

Hello all!

Just had a lovely 2 and a half hour sleep And feel a little bit better no

I wasn't implying that there is a problem in drinking before you know you are PG Mums, just that if you think you could be it isn't exactly "sensible" to then go out and drink 3 bottles of red and 1/2 a bottle of vodka, is it? I have every intention of getting wasted on Saturday, and not worry about it (until the next morning) And remember, after havinghad 1 MC, I would rather do things properly. Yes, you are right, woman who neglect themselves and their unborn baby do go on to have their babies, but after losing a precious little on, I will do everything in my power to stop it happening again. I won't add to the chnaces of losing another baby.

Sorry got a little narked then But I'm sure you understand my concerns..

jinglediddle · 23/11/2005 14:12

i understand stockinghanger - totally agree, i was the same wheni was ttc, stayed away from it as much as i could, had the odd drink if we went out, but never over the limit and often i drove so i didn't drink anyway. Its just not worth the risk is it, after all we've been through, its worth trying for a healthy happy baby.

jinglediddle · 23/11/2005 14:13

can't believe we have had such a naff year. i'll be glad when january comes.

Mumswish - when was your m/c? was it this year or last year? brains getting fuddled?
