oohshiny agree with others - wait 48 hrs and then re-test. Do you have an idea of when you might have ovulated?

Italian as a fellow migraine-sufferer I feel your pain. The day after can be very odd I find so take it easy x.
Lou how are things? I was reading my Toni book this morning (as you do) and she was saying the most common cause of spotting leading up to af time is implantation if you've had a bfp.
Gum yes you will survive, but that doesn't make the 'what ifs' any easier. Did you put The Conversation with dh on hold?
I'm ok, but very crampy (was sure af would start this morning which would give me a rubbish 9 days Lp, but it hasn't and temp has actually shot up (though I was up a lot in the night). Tbh, I'm genuinely just holding out for a longer Lp for this month. If I was pregnant I think I'd be very worried about early mc (in other words, would ideally like to see a few longish Lps before any pregnancy).

Was thinking about GBOS (Georgie's bro or sis) last night and willing the bean to be a sticky one. Once word gets out on the other thread lou there are gonna be soooo many people willing this little one on. Hope the pink hasn't troubled you further - all ok now????

Nothing to report here yet. I hate being this close - it's an all or nothing time and despite trying to be laid back it is still hard not to think about the ifs and maybes. At least I'll know if I'm preggers or not by the time I watch the last Marchlands I know that makes no sense to anyone but I like to put a deadline on it and think - "by the time I do so and so I'll be in no doubts." D'ya get me???????????

Hope all are ok today, those who are at the ovulation stage - get shaggin'.

Glad you enjoyed it Hippy . I have also got a lemon drizzle cake in the oven (really!) - can I tempt you? I totally get the 'at least I'll know by...'thing. Mine this time has been based around the next episode of One Born Every Minute (not perhaps the most appropriate choice) but has variably been The Apprentice, Mary Portas, etc etc...
I am thinking I have a metallic taste in my mouth now. I am hating myself for this - I swore I wouldn;t get my hopes up and if it were not for the fact that I have no tests in the house I would have pos by now .

OMG diege If I didn't know better I'd think that diege and Hippy were the same person posting as two different people - WE'RE NOT EVERYONE HONEST!

My fav cake is lemon drizzle - I prefer lemon flavoured things to chocolate flavoured things in general. Any you do that weird thing with the tv programmes too - how bizarre.

I had a touch more pink today and so I'm trying to be realistic - my AF usually comes in with a wimper and takes a few days of spotting before she gets going - plus my boobs are not sooo odd. But I'm still clinging on to a bit of hope. I have 2 asda own tests in the house diege - one can be bartered for a piece of that delicious cake

Oh go on then, I'll take a cheeky test for a big wedge of the cake (the best side). It is very good if I say so myself - half gone already Don't give up yet btw - is af due any day? My boobs are also less sore, but then they would be as we are 2 sides of the same coin . Did you notice too that Pursuit of Happyness is on my face film list on my profile?

Hippy you re totally right I know there are so many people who want all to be well with GBOS..so many of them contributed to Georgie's charity.They are so lovely but i just want to make sure i ve got definate news before i raise their hopes....You know what I mean???? No more pink tinged cm.Repeated pg test today went in to a panic as no stronger than yesterdays!!!! But when I had a word with myself reassured myself i m still only cd24 still 4 days off my af date.The line is still strong and I know it can take 2-3 days for hcg to double.So i m going to try to lay off the pg tests for a couple of days and just try and assume all is well.

Don t we all wish we still had the innocence of pregnancy? I said to Ant 3 years ago i got a positive test , was elated that was it waited for our first scan.Then i had the first cruel lession.

But for today i m pregnant.

Lou all sounding good, plus as you say hcg increases every 48-72 hrs, hence they test every 48 hrs if you're having it monitored. Wouldn't expect any change after 24 hrs. Now will you STOP TESTING woman
We have friends coming round tonight for a chinese (the ones that are moving hence no more work lifts...)which is the extent of our social life really! Am crying out for an early night, and will have to be very rude and tell them to shift it if they're still here at midnight (my pet hate is lateness and, conversely, people staying too long )

Ok i know i ve done wrong!!!! But just re tested and line was fainter.....Just hoping that this is due to

1:having passed urine only about 1-2 hours before hand.

2:Tested late about 18.30.

So plan :i know !!!!!!!!!!!! I re test tomorrow am then take it from there.Oh god....don t think i can cope with another cp.

Well i think it looks like ANOTHER cp.Line fainter still this am....thats not right..Clearblue still says "pregnant 1-2" but i think its only a matter of time.

Fucg pissed off with this.Think i ll have to in touch with my consultant to see what i can do.Why is my body so fucg shit? Why can t it just hold on to these beans?

Gum is it progesterone i need to thicken my lining? Need something as every fuc*g time i get pg i m having a CP.

What makes it all worse is the one time everything was perfect some bas*d up there [????where] decided she couldn t live.Its soo unfair.As you [whoever you are???] took Georgie away surely you should let us have 1 sticky bean but you re not and its soo unfair.

Oh Louise, it certainly isn't fair! Gosh, I hope this isn't a CP.

I believe it is progesterone that thickens the lining. Perhaps your consultant will suggest getting progesterone levels tested at day 21? I've never had it done, but do wonder if I need to.

How are your periods? Do you have a reasonable flow and for how long? In traditional Chinese medicine all of these things are considered, and there are many things - herbs and acupuncture that can help. How's your L.P? Usually a progesterone deficiency will show up as a short LP (10 days or less) and spotting before your period arrives.

In Traditional Chinese medicine, they work on your lining in the first part of the cycle.I've been reading about how to nourish the blood - particular foods to eat ( seaweed, wheatgrass, plums,pears) etc that should help thicken the lining.I don't know how you feel about acupuncture? It may be helpful.

But right now, you just need a big hug and reassurance. I'm so sorry you are traveling this shitty road.I wish I could do something to help.

Oh LOU .....if this is a CP (I fking hope not) yes you most definately must go and see a consultant and try to get to the bottom of things...... with regards to needing progesterone as GUM says yes you can get your 21day bloods done but I have to say I had them done during a PG cycle and the level was 65.7 which was quite ok (I think) and it still went tits up for me..... If you are going to supplement with PROG then I think really it should be taken 2 days after OV ???? just to be on the safeside, it doesnt do any harm anyway........if you were having fertility treatment i.e IVF ...IUI..they would automatically put you on Prog anyway
You can get Prog supplements from your gp.........but unfortunately sometimes its just unexplainable why these things happen......

I really really hope that this is gonna be ok for you and I am sorry that you have to be going through this turmoil I really am....sending you a big hug and lots of love xx

AF arrived this morning for me with alarming precision so although I'm disappointed I'm pleased that I've now had 2 very precise cycles of exactly 29 days after 9 months of nothing at all. I need to get my arse in gear though now and start temping maybe and trying to work out when the hell I'm ovulating...that's if I actually am - apparently DEPO can arse that up considerably also

Has anyone had any luck with cheapo ovulation pee sticks??

Anyway, I'd best nip off and finish my mum's birthday present....since she'll be arriving in less than an hour

Lou Can I just tell you what happened to me in the hope that it will make you feel better?

I have had 4 MC. Apart from the 22 week one , I had a positive test then a little bleed. That would prompt an early scans which would eventually show there was no heart beat etc and would have an ERPC.

BUT BUT BUT !!! I then had a positive test, and the usual bleeding/pink discharge etc. Went for scan and there was a heartbeat and I went on to have a healthy pregnancy. Then again with my next two, positive test, pink - blood - healthy pregnancy. So actually the pink/blood thing was nothing to do with my MC, just the implantation bleed because I have had it with all 7 pregnancies the same.
And as for the feint line. I was an obsessive tester, my DH said I did them like scratch cards

I found one in my wash bag on holiday in France and just randomly did one which had a very feint line. So feint that non of my family could see it and I had to stop going over to the window to look at because it pissing everyone off.

I did more tests for two weeks with no line at all then finally I got my line back and that was my son.

Is it the line going fainter = lowering hcg levels that is making you pissed off ? Have you had experience of this happening before? (obviously you have sorry) How many times ? And at which stages ?

Oh Lou I'm so sorry you think this is happening again . If indeed it is another cp, then the only bit of good to come out of it (other than the fact that you seem to get conceive very easily) is that you can now confidently explore options with your consultant, if there does appear to be a problem. Sadly though as Gum says, it may indeed be bad luck. I'm feeling really sad and cross on your behalf in equal measures. PLease take care and come on and rant away because we're all here for you xxx
Onedge welcome to the thread and thanks for sharing you experiences. Sorry to hear about your mcs but great that you have 3 LOs (I had 3 under 4 at one point so know where you're coming from )
Still eeking out this LP - if af stays away until tomorrow it will be 11 days. Boobs def softer and less sore today, so not going to bother wasting a test (found 2 lurking amongst my ov strips, the cheek of them).Writing a lecture now as at hospital all day Tuesday with a friend who is very poorly (that's a whole other thread!)
