MORNING!

Thought this would be a nice spot to chat with the TTCers that have been trying for some time. A bit of support for each other and all that!

So, grab a drink, and a barstool, and get chatting.

There's bouncers on the door, so no riff-raff, and the licence is LATE,LATE,LATE!!

Oh and loads of baby dust on tap!!

Hi there girlies

Collected DD from nursery but when I got therr she was sat on her own in the middle of the floor. All the mindees ignored me when I walked in and seemed to be ignoring DD. So I picked up DD and left. Am I just being paranoid?

Have ordered some more Acon tests off Ebay-they are 10 sensitive and I used one of this brand this morning. Infact going to test every morning just for the fun of it. Also for research reasons of course to see how early you can get a +ive!

Ordered a phone off Ebay for my mum and there is a bit missing. Don't know what to do now as don't like complaining or asking for refunds. Going round there later to check it out before I contact the seller.

Hugs to all ((((((((((((((XXXXXXXXXXX)))))))))))))

Byee for now
xx

Coathanger · 17/10/2005 13:51

I think I would be a tad p**sed off at that as well, HC! But, coz I've got a big gob, I would have said something to someone! How dare they ignore your DD, poor little mite. Especially as they know she has been poorly and hasn't quite settled in yet. Poor sweetheart XX

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 17/10/2005 13:58

Actually , really disturbed about it. The girl that runs it wasn't there but I will look for her on Thursday. One of the girls was sat using a laptop-perhaps it was work related. Will give it a couple more tries.

Coathanger · 17/10/2005 14:08

I think you are very patient. I would wade in there and give them what for!! Bloody cheek! What do they think they are paid for! I can't get the image of your sweetheart DD sat all on her own being ignored out of my head. Give her a big kiss and cuddle from Aunty Coathanger XXX

OP posts:
Diddle · 17/10/2005 14:32

HC - that is terrible, she shouldn't be ignored like that, for any reason, and if there is a valid reason then you should ahve been told about it, so you could comfort or chat to your daughter about it afterwards. I WOULD say something, you're not paying them to ignore the children, if someone is doing work related pc work then someone else shoudl be in charge of the children at that time, take it from and expert i worked in a nursery a couple of years ago.
Perhaps you could casually ask them how she was today as you didn't see anyone to speak to when you collected DD. Is it a private nursery or a school nursery?

strike1 · 17/10/2005 14:47

Hello all. Just checking in.
Spub, you're sounding awfully chirpy today, Balamory seems to have worked it's magic on you!
Had a lovely weekend with friends over for an bbq on Saturday night (well us ladies sat inside while the men pranced about with sausages outside!) Over indulged on the wine somewhat, but while af's here I thought 'sod it'. Felt grim yesterday though. Everyone was gone by 12/12.30....we used to sit up well into the early hours drinking, getting old I guess!

AF's on her way out I think and the persona's ready to go, so here's to a sucessful month for all!! HC don't do my trick of testing to early, be strong till Saturday There's still hope.

spub · 17/10/2005 14:58

Hi again,
HC - sad about your dd. The others are right - you are paying good money not to mention puting your trust in these people so that the wee soul can have care and attention when you are working. I'm also a gobby cow about these things but I think you should say to the owner - obviously it's troubling you so best to just ask and see what they have to say. That's my tuppence worth!

Hi Strike ,
Yup. Positive mental attitude despite lots of shi* suddenly flying around at work. Think we'll be using the Balamory soundtrack instead of Barry White for any future bding....
(Fnarr, you do all know that I am only joking about Balamory being an aide to rampant sex - don't you???)

strike1 · 17/10/2005 15:16

I was hoping it was a joke Spub, cause serious questions would have to be asked as to what or who it is that gets you going!

HC, I'm with everyone else, I'd say something to them, maybe not wade right in screaming and shouting, but mention to the owner that there was no one paying your dd, or you when you arrived, any attention. You can tell a lot from a place with the way they deal with a complaint. If there get all defensive then I'd look elsewhere for care, but it might just be one of those moments and they'll promise to make sure in never happens again. But you need to have your mind put at rest about the standard of care your dd is getting.

I've got a wisdom tooth on the move and it's making one side of my head really ache, no fun Have you resolved your dentist dilema Diddle? ( oh get me with all the illiteration (sp?) )

Coathanger · 17/10/2005 15:40

Eh, Spub!! What's the story in Balamory? eh? And what does PC Plum do with his truncheon????

Strike - poor you with your wisdom tooth My Dh has been having trouble for ages with an impacted wisdom tooth - it is pushing against his back molar and causing him great agony. So we sympathise with you, hun XX

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 17/10/2005 15:41

Thanks girls

Have told Mafia DH and he is not happy. When I think about it-the mindees never speak to me, only the girl that runs it. Will see what happens on Thursday but if I walk in and DD is sat clutching elephant again then that will be it but I will have to get DH to come with me. [scared]

strike1-had to have 3 wisdom teeth out. Really suffered with the one tooth but when I woke up after the op to have one out they told me the had taken 3 out. The one that was through and 2 which weren't-ouch!

Had no trouble since thank goodness as there is nothing worse than wisdom tooth pain.

Off to mum and dad's now to be cheered up.

Back later

xxx

strike1 · 17/10/2005 15:45

I've only got 2 wisdom teeth (I put it down to being highly evolved, DH just says I have very little wisdom!) 1 came through several years ago but my dentist suggested leaving it as it rarely causes me problems. But every now and again it moves about and reeeaally hurts! Hopefully I won't need it taken out though.

Coathanger · 17/10/2005 15:50

SNAP! Strike! I only have 2 wisdom teeth, on my right side top and bottom. Nothin gon the left! I've had xrays to check if they are late but there is just nothing there! So i have a lopsided mouth!

OP posts:
strike1 · 17/10/2005 15:52

Just got the two bottom ones myself. We are obviously very high up the evolutionary (sp?) scale CH!

Coathanger · 17/10/2005 15:55

Absolutely Strike hehe!
