Lemon sorry honey, you too xx

Mamapower · 17/02/2011 09:52

owl you crack me up missus! Grin

Morning all, waiting in doc's for booking in apt. Quite excited about it bring 'official'! Thinking of all those with scans today, may the good news roll in Smile

Mamapower · 17/02/2011 09:53

Excuse typo's on phone.... Why does this thing think it knows better than me and changes my words! Bah!

mrsrobinredbreast · 17/02/2011 09:59

Hello all

Can I join in too? There are sooo many of you and I need some hand holding too so is there room for one more?

I think I am 5+4 today. Been to see GP today who didn't know that I had miscarried last September as the hospital hadn't sent a letter so they still had me down as pregnant and due in March Shock. I am now doubting whether I have done the right thing is booking in at the same hospital, hopefully it was just a blip.

Does the freakout room have a stereo (get me, child of the 80's!)? I need to put on some soothing music and eat chocolate by the kilo.

Good Luck to all who have scans today. Esp. Wombat who I remember from my post when I'd just found out about MMC and you wrote such lovely things.

lovemysleep · 17/02/2011 10:21

banana glad to hear AF arrived and you're back TTC - good luck x

welcome mrsrobin - and how stupid is that hospital! Hopefully, a blip though - suppose we all make mistakes sometimes. We'll all be here to gold your hand...

Mama how many weeks are you now? Can't remember... Keep sticking my head in the sand about going to docs - scan tomorrow, so will have to go to the docs if everything is ok.

Owl I can't wait to be going to my 16 wk MW appointment! Bet you'll pop soon, and have a lovely little bump. I felt DD moving at 17 weeks, so you should feel that soon too, which is lovely.

Prettyvacant ah,coming off the roids! I start coming off mine in 3 weeks time - so far , the symptoms aren't too bad - it's hard to distinguish between them and pg symptoms, if I'm honest! Am sure that they have worked there magic for you....

Am so going to check out Figleaves bras soon too - can't wait to be able to buy maternity clothes, I am sooooooo desperate to get a bump now.

Healthy day today - stocked up on cherries, nectarines and grapes, and just glugged a big glass of OJ. Prawn salad for lunch too...mmmmm. Got to make up for the white carbs and cheese overload of the last 2 days, I'm afraid.
Feeling decidedly green today, and bloody knackered - could just sleep, sleep, sleep. Been awake since about 5.45am, so that's got a lot to do with it.

This time tomorrow, I'll have had my scan - eeeekkkkkkkkkkk! Am now chanting "Scans are my friend, scans are my friend....."

Big hugs ladies xx

mrsrobinredbreast · 17/02/2011 10:33

Good luck tomorrow lovemy. Deep breathes, you can do this, you can do this.

Your healthy day is putting me to shame though. Just devoured a little chocolate penguin thing which was really for my DD but was the only chocolate we had in the house. I really must pull my socks up.

owlbooty · 17/02/2011 10:37

Ahh, you found us MrsRobin :) Pull up a beanbag and make yourself comfy. I like to think we have a chocolate fountain in here, with marshmallows on sticks for dunking.

The first rule of GP/hospital communication is: always assume there hasn't been any. This way you can never be disappointed Grin

Oooh, MamaP booking in appt! That's come around quickly.

Sleep cheese overload? any left there? I have made myself a cheese butty for lunch and want to eat it now. This is not because I am up the duff, it is because I am a greedy bugger.

Mamapower · 17/02/2011 10:56

Hi Robin there are a lot of us eating junk at the mo... me and Pink are on a mission to empty the UK of cream eggs Grin

Preeeeeety hooooragh for lowering the drugs, great news my lovely Smile

Love technically I am 8+4 but gestationally I am 7+1 what a difference the ovulation date makes!!

Owl I know scarey! However, someone decided to get really ill and the surgery went into medical emergency melt down so they've had to re-schedule me for next Friday! Enjoy the cheese butty, made me want one now Grin

Any news from any of our gals being scanned??

Emoo · 17/02/2011 11:02

Aaaaahhhh and finds time to catch up...

Thanks to all for the hugs on Tuesday... I've continued to be a bit wibbly all week, but luckily Tues/Weds at work were so hectic I didn't have much time to think. I'm still getting cramps, but only when I think about them, and I don't know if they are just psychological. I only have to wait until tomorrow morning for my scan, and am hoping I'll not go too insane today. I need to do some major deforestation work at some point, in case it's a fanjocam! Blush Anyone who has had a scan at 7 weeks - what should I expect?

bras - I have given up on these altogether recently - have bought vests with shaped cups in from M&S - they are super-comfy, supportive enough for me (36C), don't show nips, and are long enough to tuck into jeans. here

Robin - welcome - there is always room for one more ! Congratulations on your BFP! Hopefully the hospital were a bit lax on paperwork because they were too busy looking after patients, or it was lost in the mail. I would book where is most convenient for you and not worry about it.

Onions - welcome too! I do get the occasional scratching-related craving (not due to pregnancy though!), but they have decreased considerably in frequency since an upsetting incident a year or so ago when I was in a pub and someone got a nipple, I kid you not. They've not seemed the same since.

MamaP - wow - booking appointment - congrats!

Owl - I am sure the 3 scans are real, and Mr Boots is probably right Grin

Orange - sounds like you've done well to get so far without admitting to many at work - specially as you've been vomity.

Pretty - good luck for your scan tomorrow, and sounds like you are nearly over the worst with the drugs.

Lemon, Wombat and Choccie - thinking of you and sending good luck for scans today, and for your DH Choccie. Wombat, thanks for the Brownie wishes - it was not as painful as I had imagined and a couple of us sat in the back row and gossiped in whispered tones.

Banana - glad you've got to the TTC stage.

Nix - I think that's really sweet (although a bit patronising) to take your bags off you... now if you can only train them to bring over iced buns and tinned mackerel on a tray, you're winning!

Love - hope your back is okay now - is it womb-related or longer-term back probs you're having?

Pink - sorry, had to laugh at you and the jelly babies. I am unfortunate enough to live rather too close to a corner shop, and am now having to fight the urge to go and see if they've got any! I too have bump Envy - I think it must be normal [hopeful emoticon].

Dachs - still grinning from ear to ear on your behalf! Grin

Ladybee - congrats on getting to double figures today! You've had a really emotional week by the sound of it, and I hope you have come out of the other end of it still able to smile.

Digi - glad to hear you've stopped cramping. I hope you survived the bunch of 4-5 year olds! Bloody good rant, by the way, on Tuesday. I was very impressed. (All completely justified, by the way).

HK - glad to hear things still going fine! Wish I could be as zen as you!

Knitter - love the jelly bra analogy - sorry your DH is being useless. Mine is similar in those sorts of circumstances. Oh, I'm an uneasy magpie believer too

Emoo · 17/02/2011 11:08

Oh MamaP X-posts - never mind - you WILL get there next Friday. Big landmark!

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 12:01

Dachs congratulations - does twins count as a litter of puppies?

Robin welcome - I'm a day behind you (5+3) today

nix your bump sounds lovely :)

Had a scan on my leg today (was tempted to ask if he'd do a 2 for 1 and check where my bean was). Sadly leg is rather buggered - i've torn the junction between the tendon and the muscle apparently - no running for at least 6 more weeks.

Still feeling very paranoid about lack of symptoms. I remember feeling massive at this stage when I was pg with the mmc - I joked with a friend that it must be at least triplets! Only symptoms now are sensitive nips and being tired but unable to sleep deeply. Woke up at 6am this morning after a saucy dream (the sort that I remember getting MUCH later on when pregnant with DS).

mrsrobinredbreast · 17/02/2011 12:31

Thanks for the welcomes. I feel at home so I'll just pop the kettle on. Anyone for a brew?

Knitter, I felt massive at this stage with mmc too, this time not so much and no real symptoms whereas last time I felt dreadful. Keep reminding myself that I didn't really have symptoms with DD either.

MamaP - next Fri will be here before you know it.

Emoo - good luck for scan too. Fanjocam indeed, am sat here giggling to myself.

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 12:31

Pulls on leg earners and under bump ra ra skirt in readiness for some 80's tunes :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 12:49

robin very comforting that we're having similar symptoms - will be nice to have someone at a similar stage to me... all the rest of 'em are miles ahead... at least 6 weeks pg.... :)

nix so how much do your legs earn then? Now have visions of you being a professional stockings/tights model with obscenely long legs :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 13:27

PV thanks for the straitjacket looks surprisingly similar to an Isabella Oliver Maternity Wrap top :)

Very bored at work today. I have masses to do but no one dares to nag me about it given my current 'part-time on doctors orders' status... Must get motivated again....

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 13:28

Sadly knits they are short and stumpy!

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 13:29
