Thats interesting about those even day things because I think that was happened when I conceived my first as I was working shifts and we weren't living together.

I got a smiley face today but as luck would have it am knackered from early waking toddler and am going out tonight and won't be back till late. But I suppose the day before and day after should cover it.

My dh is always available and its still not working!

jersey · 18/10/2005 13:46

homemama, know what you mean since starting teething DS hasn't slept through! Through, usually means till 5:00 which is ok as we get up at 5:30 anyway. We do get odd days but as a rule anytime from 11:30 he wakes and most times takes hours to get back to sleep!!

I'm going to try the baby whisperer's method for getting them to sleep but have been told not too if teething. Hope he finishes teething before I get preg/have no 2 or will be dead from lack of sleep and working full time, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

milosmum · 18/10/2005 13:47

Norm- deffo in that bracket. the others used to laugh when i said i had to put my name and a smiley fac in my dh s diary- but i really do otherwise hell book his business trip or be somewhere else!

eldestgirl · 18/10/2005 14:23

Me too. DH is always away during the week. Managed to book him here last week and made him do day trips only.
I have been on previous threads, but here are my stats:
Me 35
DH 38
DS1 4 years old, DS2 2 years old
TTC 5th month
CD 22.
So I am playing the waiting game again. Will not test until 31st October as for some reason, nothing shows up for ages normally.
BTW, am using Persona for second month, and you can start it on CD5. You have to hold the M button down until it says 5 and then release. Was gutted when got the ovulation sign on CD 15 and 16 last month and DH was on another continent for the crucial period. This month, it did not come up at all. Am hoping I ovulated when I wasn;t required to do a test stick.

jane313 · 18/10/2005 16:09

I remember when persona first came out two colleagues got pregnant accidently. Not sure if they were using it accurately though

homemama · 18/10/2005 16:13

How is persona different from OPKs? I understand the problem with OPKs is that they detect the LH hormone but don't actually confirm OV. Is this the same with persona? One of the girls who use to be on this thread would get a positive for the hormone but not actually release an egg. Is persona any better in this respect. What I mean is is it worth my while getting one or don't they do any more than OPKs?

Sorry to ramble on.

I'm another one who knew the exact night of conception with DS as DH came back from Edinburgh that morning and went to Spain the following day! I made sure he had a bury night though!

OP posts:
homemama · 18/10/2005 16:14

Oh dear, that should be busy night lol!

OP posts:
milosmum · 18/10/2005 16:16

i think the persona is easier to understand and all the info is ther in the one place-not sure but ill stick with the trusty thermometer and ov tests!

staceym11 · 18/10/2005 20:23

you ladies have had a chatty day, well i must be, about....hmmm sat, sun, mon, tues, weds, thurs, fri, sat, sun, mon, tues....thats CD11, dont feel anything atm except absolutely shtting myself about my dd 1st bday party on sat, dunno if its gunna happen this month as im so stressed and trying to get way* too much done in one day, like arrange a party and do all my avon bits and look after dd and get my nan from yorkshire and have to give up my bed so she can be at dd's birthday party! arghhhh!!!!!!!

staceym11 · 18/10/2005 20:25

sorry to rant, now nice calm person is back.

hope everyones ok, sorry about all the afs i hope next month is better!

have absolutely no experience with temping and hopefully wont need to (still young and hopefully fertile) but if im not pg in a few months il be asking all your opinions of it!

andyrobo237 · 18/10/2005 21:03

Well I survived my assessment tests and interview and presentation - should find out by end of week!

I know what you all mean about being in the mood when the time is right - I used opls for first time this month, and today is CD23 and feeing a bit crampy pains - maybe implantantation - or am I just imagining it!! With dd it took until 7 days after latest date AF was due to get a +ve test, but I knew I was due to sore boobs, etc. Can't remember when that kicked in, but no such symptoms yet - not sure if can keep going on this treadmill of ttc - may lay off it for a while if this cycle fails!

staceym11 · 18/10/2005 21:09

of course you can keep going andyrobo, just think what you'll get out of it, i know its hard but maybe just trying to be more laid back and romantic about it all for a while would be best, do something nice for dh (and the other way round) each night that you know will end up in bed (like a massage/sexy feeding of strawberries) and take the next month as it comes, dont worry about any ovulation packs or anything, it might give you a nice break! but never give up, it can and will happen!!!!

jersey · 19/10/2005 08:42

HI AF arrived this morning (day early), stopping pill now so we will see what happens next . Fingers crossed.

Keep going andyrobo it will all be worth it in the end. How long have you been trying?

Rant and rave all you like Stacey you need an outlet to let off steam.

Good luck everyone XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx

jersey · 19/10/2005 09:20

Just had a thought if I conceived straight away (some chance!) would I be due July or August? DS is July so would prefer August onwards.

Anyone? I suspect July but am crap with working out dates.

Thanks

puppy · 19/10/2005 09:24

Good morning all
is due for testing yet?
Good luck jersey

I agree with jersey andyrobo keep going, my ds took 3years to concieve and he was worth every bit of trying, and fingers crossed that you have cracked it this cycle.

Stacey is does all good to have a good rant, so rant away, I hope your dd has a good time at her party, how many is it for?
Things might be looking good here, like i said before blue veins on my chest, tiredness has returned, dh say my boobs are def bigger (they never get sore) and last night and this morning nauseous and bad taste lets hope they are fresh pg signs and not ones from before, i must relax and think positive though and also not to get my hopes up too much. I have two tests in the house, af not due till mon so will test then.

puppy · 19/10/2005 09:27

oops pressed post message button before i acnowledged everybody else, hope are all doing ok!, How are you feeling homemama, are you testing?

jersey · 19/10/2005 09:50

Fingers crossed puppy will be waiting for you to log in on Monday! xxx

Dana · 19/10/2005 12:43

Jersey, you finally got there. Full steam ahead now then . Hope it happens quick after all this waiting. Conceiving straight ahead would make you due end of July I think, but if your cycle is a bit irregular at first it could be August even if you conceive first cycle.

Puppy, fingers crossed for you. Will check next week to see if you have any news!!

jersey · 19/10/2005 13:17

Thanks Dana
Last time I was due end of July, but due to pre-eclampsia was induced at 38 weeks. I'll try to aim for August, we here goes!!

jersey · 19/10/2005 14:38

bump! anyone around?

LilacBump · 19/10/2005 14:45

jersey, with first day of your period today, your due date if you conceive this cycle would be july 26th! good luck!!!
