Wow Jersey, congratulations!!!!!!!
First month, lucky girl. That's what happened to us with DS.
The sicky tummy is probably a mixture of excitement and nerves. Keep us posted.

Welcome Compo. Hope your stay's a short one.

No idea what CD I'm on this month. Think AF is due next weekend. So maybe we can try next month.

Thanks everyone. Did a clearblue today, 1 day before AF was due (couldn't wait!!) to confirm the cheap tests where right and its the darkest blue cross I've seen . When preg with DS the cross was so faint we weren't sure and I was 4 days late then! (Hope this doesn't mean twins!!!)

HandbagAddiction · 15/11/2005 12:41

Jersey - only just caught up with this....just wanted to pass on my congratulation! Fantastic news and I'm so pleased for you!! ......

jersey · 15/11/2005 13:01

Thanks handbag still getting used to the idea myself!!

jane313 · 15/11/2005 18:12

Compo I have given up caffeine and am limiting myself to 8 units of alcohol (apart from when af comes and I get drunk). Has done no good so far. Not doing well on the weight loss as feel so depressed with it all I am comfort eating. Am sure that will be the first thing they say when I get my hospital referal.

compo · 15/11/2005 18:13

I am the same with the comfort eating. Trying to cut down on the coffee but still drinking too much!!

jane313 · 15/11/2005 18:17

I have decaff which is not as good. But if you have a posh coffee out, the decaff one tastes fine.

jane313 · 15/11/2005 18:18

I forgot to ask, norms has your af come?

Morning

Artoo sorry to hear af has arrived , good luck for next cycle.

Normsnockers sorry i didn't reply before now i got a very very very faint positive at 3days passed the day af was due, went for a blood test the next day and the hormone was at 51, depending on the test they normally read between 25 and 50 i think. Keeping y fingers crosse that af stays away, how long is your cyle normally?

I'm also going to look at my diet after xmas I don't smoke and i don't drink much but need to shedd a couple of stones of weight.

compo · 16/11/2005 10:26

sorry to hear that Artoo Good luck next month. I think I'll wait til after Christmas too Puppy - it's too hard to diet at this time of year!!

strike1 · 16/11/2005 10:28

Morning all. Sorry for af Artoo.

CD35 for me. BFN yesterday, so I expect af today or tomorrow. Had a blood test to confirm ov and depending on when af arrives I guess I can work out when it happened. I think it was around cd22. Does anyone else ov that late? Still hoping af will stay away and I can get my bfp at the weekend, but somehow I doubt it. Might just ignore ttc over christmas, don't think I could take the stressful disapointment again!

Fingers crossed for you Norm. When will you test?

fingers crossed for everyone!!!!

strike1 · 16/11/2005 12:09

Sorry to hear that Norms. I think I'll be joining you today though as I feel the same. Still the next month will be so busy preparing for christmas we won't have time to think too much about it. Roll on New Year I say!

IamBlossom · 16/11/2005 12:30

Hi everyone. Saw Compo's post on the "not sure where to post" thread and have followed you on over! Congrats jersey. Normsknockers, i too have to nag DH to go to bed at the same time as me, and invariably we end up getting down to it on the living room floor, or the "armchair of love" (his name for it not mine!) I am on the 3rd month of TTC, on day 29/35? and no symptoms yet of AF or PG! Daring to hope.... have a DS, 14 months old. For a not very superstitious person usually it's amazing what you find yourself doing in this situation....

IamBlossom · 16/11/2005 12:59

For example - if I say I'm not pregnant and follow it up by saying I might be pregnant the negative cancels out the positive; if I don't test there is still a chance I may be, but if i do test and I'm not there is no chance left; if I have three glasses of wine instead of two I won't test +ve; if I miss one night of shagging I won't concieve (my poor DH!) Anyone else do this mental stuff?

compo · 16/11/2005 13:08

sorry to here that Normsknockers. Hi IamBlossom. My ds is 19 months and we started trying when he was about 14 months I think.

IamBlossom · 16/11/2005 13:17

Hey Comps. I came off the pill end of Sept (were you on the pill before starting to try?) and I think my cycle is still sorting itself out to be honest. My friend said she has been amazed by how many of her friends conceive their second in the same month as their first and if that is true then it would be next month. Fell with DS after three weeks off the pill!

compo · 16/11/2005 13:19

Came off the pill baout 6 months ago I think. It took 3 months to conceive ds and I hadn't been on the pill for a year. We've been trying to bd every other day, or every 3 days, but i don't think it'll happen this month as this is the first we've been really trying. Fingers crossed for you this month

Norms - I too had a church going schooling, I think that means we are "allowed" to ask/thank God as we see fit. Doesn't make you a bad person. In fact wondering if it makes you a bad person means you aren't i reckon

I was pg with DS over Christmas 03 and New year without knowing and I shudder at the amount of alcohol I consumed during that period. I found out i was pg in a hotel loo in San Diego whilst on a work week away, and weirdly no-one seemed to find it odd that i went from 7 lethal cocktails a night to mineral water. Couldn't understand why i wasn't getting drunk and why the drinks tasted so odd! Anyhoo, it doesn't seem to have affected DS one iota. I am a big beleiver in a bit of what you fancy (within reason!) does you good, pg or not.
