I haven't charted as i cdn't face it really - keep hoping it will happen without doing that. Did buy Clearblue ovulation test kit for this month and then Dh had a bad back last week and cdn't BD so haven't used them yet.

That's very interesting - i will consider charting then - am off for a week's hold next week and then it is DS's 2nd b'day so after that and when get next period i can start. Will have to read up on doing it properly. Can you do it with an ear thermometer as that strikes me it would be easiest?

By the way huge congrats on your pg - hope all goes smoothly. Is it your first?

Morgan, apparently an ear thermometer is no good. I cant remember why but I was told by a doctor. It might be because it cannot detect the tiny changes in temp that occur. The specila thermometres you can buy specifically for temping measure minute changes.

I could do that no trouble !! as you know i already have my clearblue so that's ok. Morning temp wdn't be too bad to do as I am very lucky and ds gets up about 8am but i will stick to clearblue and bd'ing for a couple of months and see what happens.

Twigs, how could I forget you!!!!!!! I really miss you and Egypt but am completly overjoyed for you both!!!!!!!!!!! Re tests, don't know if anyone can help me on this. In brief, Doc said FSH and LH are fine, but I have no detection of LH whatsoever in my Persona, v strange. However, had tons of egg white stretchies yesterday and twinges in my ovaries and boobs so very confusing!!! Going for progesterone check on Friday or Monday, can't decide which at mo! If I get a temp rise now, then persona will be banished!!!!

Got me 1st period for almost a year this morning..............after birth of son & m/c.
I can't believe I'm so happy to see the blighters back but was beginning to wonder if it was menopause.....hurrah!!! Means I can think about trying again.

Have been testing each morning since Monday - Monday and Tuesday i had the very strong test line and the feint surge line but today the surge line was even feinter - could hardly see it.

Surely it's meant to get stronger? Have i missed my surge? (Surely i can't of cos only on day 13 today) or did i not hold my pissy stick for long enough?

Well Jems, I would keep testing, your urine might be more diluted today than normal, you may have missed it it,s a possibilty, or cos your thinkin about it more (like me) it delays it (like me)!!
It is also poss ible like Twigs says that some months you don't ov. Have you had any cm yet?? Think u might need to temp test as well to tell u if you are ov'g.
If I get a temp rise today or tom I know I have, if not then, I'll have to wait till next month - bugger!!!

Well i'm back from doctors.
Doctor was quite nice to me. said OPKs are a waste of time.
anyways she is doing baseline hormone levels for me & sperm count for DH so no BD for 3 days.
then take it from there.
she thinks prob stress from m.c & ttc, but is happy to refer me to the infertility people at the hospital whether there is a hormonal prob or not. She said they might decide to kick start things anyway because we have been trying for over a yr.

so it all looks quite positive. just waiting for AF now because my bloods need doing btwn day 3 & 5 of cycle. The next hurdle will be managing to get the receptionists to fit me in on time!

Oh that's great Bogwoppit, see just what you deserve, a bit of tlc and a kick start to rule out initial hormone probs, sperm count etc... I'm very pleased for you! Ditch the crappy doctor then!!Loser!

God, i hope i haven't missed it - surely if my cycles are between 28 and 38 days and i'm day 13 i can't have missed it.................

How do i find out if i'm ovulating then?

If your cycles are up to 38 days ( I didn't realise) then it could take two packs of test sticks yet! It could be as late as day 19 that you get the surge!!! Just keep testing. I've heard it;s also quite possible to have a v small surge before the actual one, will try and find source of that, on the wb somewhere. You might then have another few days to go!

Twigs, I'm not so positive I'm afraid. I have no LH at all, nada, nichts zero, nil etc... Going mad now!!
Quack meister loses the plot and slumps off to find her bloody LH!

BTW, twigs when is the temp rise?? Is it 2 days after LH should have been??

Oh blees u! Well me thinks it's a couple of days after, so if not I've got the blood test and she'll repeat the tests agin next month if poor result. It must be all the worrying!
