confused am i pregnant?

Hi there can anyone help?

Last saturday i done a superdrug preg test which showed up neg with just one strong purple line in the round circle.I decided to do another this morning (first wee of the day) and on the test showed one line pretty strong on the circle again but on the square there is a very faint line which you can see when you hold it up into the light.At first i thought it was my eyes but more i looked im sure of it.My periods are always all over the place my last was in dec around the 7th i think and i had sex on new yrs eve/newyrs day. Can anyone help?

You're probably pregnant. Try buying a ClearBlue one and do it again first thing in the morning. Hope that's the answer you're after...?! Smile

if you leave the pregnancy test for ages the results can change, your meant to bin it after 5 mins cos after that it might not be correct.

Try the clear blue with your morning urine OR after a 4 hour break without peeing, then it will be easier to detect pregnancy!!!

If the second line appeared wihtin the time frame given in the instructions then it is a line and you are pg. If the line appeared after the alloted time then you cannot rely on the result and will need to retest.

Use the more expensive digital ones that give a 'pregnant' read out. No messing about with faint lines...

BTW my faint line is upstairs in the bath as we speak.

The line i started to see showed up from around 6-7mins i guess and is still on there.
my last one i done on saturday didnt show up anything even when i left it for over an hour the square was white?
will defo buy another test and see i just want to know! Sad

you should read it after 3 mins and bin it after 5. You are leaving it too late to look so may be inaccurate.

If you are still unsure go to the docs, they will get you to do one of their tests and then if that is not conclusive you can ask for a blood test which are much more accurate!

yeah will try another test and go from there.
people say the test doesnt change and there should be no colour unless your preg? also if its a evap line its grey im so confused.how come i had no line on my other test after leaving it longer? thanks for your feed back everyone.x

im going through the same thing as you.my faint line appeared after about 7 mins as well but my test says to not read after 10 mins so it is in the right time frame.fwiw i think you are pg as they say aeven a faint line is a still a line.sorry im not much help just wanted to let you know im going through the same.

its awful playing the waiting game isnt it?
there is so many diff things people say its so confusing ive read what mine says and it says from 3 mins it shows up but not to be read after ten so i guess mine is in the time frame! when did you do your test?are you going to do another?

muddypaws24 i did a test yesterday and this morning. i will probably do another test tomorrow. hoping for a darker line and in a quicker time.

hi muddypaws24 have you tested again? yes i have been ttc. i take it you havent. would it be big shock if you were?
i did a test in the early hours got a darker but still faint line but then bought a tesco test today and no line at all. then did another of the original brand i was using and got a fainter line than the one i had in the early hours. so who knows whats happening.
i will probably test again early tomorrow. hopefully i will get a darker line.

nope aint tested again today am going to do another tomor or saturday all i want to do is test again but know its best to wait i just want to know its on my mind 24-7 Sad so hard isnt it?
yeah would be a shock for me to be honest but im so stressed i hope i am now so its been worth the stress if that makes sense.
hope you get a darker line fingers crossed for you! makes you wonder why some times it shows up and some times it doesnt i guess it just depends hey.Anyway keep me updated hun x

any line at all means you are pregnant.The line on my first test was so faint it was more of a shadow or suggestion of where the line should appear,but the lady on the helpline told me that however faint,if its there ,then you are preg.each day I tested the lines got stronger,I think I did about 6 tests as it took a while to sink in (was 40,and had expected it to take a bit longer!).Do one first thing in the morning,it will be darker I imagine.different brands vary in sensitivity,which is why you are getting lines on one brand and not another.

ok..i was going to wait until saturday to do another but im finding it hard to hang on lol
i was quite bad and had 3 glasses of rose wine today i know i shouldnt of but ive been so stressed needed something :/ the line on mine was pretty faint but you can tell its there when you look under the light will be interesting to see what the next one is like!i dont know what test to try maybe the superdrug ones again?? x

I'm not sure what the most sensitive one is,but go for something like "first response",one that says you can test "as early as three days before your period is due"or some such blurb.The earlier they claim to show a result the more sensitive the test is likely to be.Use first wee of the morning if you can,easiest is to wee in a pot and then hold the tester in the wee to make sure you get enough on the stick.If you need to run out for a test,then wee in the pot,go and buy the test,and then dip.

ive saved my first wee of the day today so just getting ready to go out and get one my wee looks so so dark this morning never seen it like that before hmmm.im so nervous words cant explain just want to know one way or another though im driving myself mad lol.

well have done another test this afternoon with my morning wee i kept.And it looks faint positive again but fainter the wednesdays test??? even more confused now.could it be because i left my wee for so long before testing as it would of been cold? helppp Sad

DON'T PANIC.

you are probably preggo. go to the doctors on monday, they will get you to take another urine test and maybe a blood test if the results still aren't positive.

How do you feel?

any line, even if faint means you are pregnant but they will confirm this at the docs

im back at work from monday ive been lucky ive had this week off on holiday!
surely the test should be stronger not lighter right? i showed my mate the test from wednesday and she defo could see the colour line on it so i wasnt going mad. i just dont know what to do..i have another test do you think its worthing trying it in morn or sunday? sorry 2 go on :(
