i'm due af on 12/10 and not sure if i can mentally make it that far on my own! anyone else care to join me?

PeevedEve · 04/10/2010 21:07

Hello - I'd like to join too please!

I'm due 12/10 so final week beginning.

Gill - I think it is possible to not ovulate one month but I'm not sure that lack of symptoms would mean that you definitely didn't. It might be worth trying OPKs to check

Anyone else have loads or preggie symptoms during the first week of the 2WW but they fade away over the 2nd week until AF arrives? This seems to happen to me every month. The two times I have been pregnant I had no symptoms at all until 4-5 before AF due. So now, if I have any pregnancy symptoms during the first week, I just assume that I'm not pregnant! So frustrating....

NinjaChipmunk · 04/10/2010 21:24

evening! eve i find i know when i'm deffo not pg (like last month. i just knew there was no chance somehow) yet other months i think i might be having symptoms but it still turns out i'm not. maybe its because you are paying so much more attention to how your body is working that its so easy to misinterpret?

OP posts:
PeevedEve · 04/10/2010 21:31

Thanks Ninja - I think you're right. I just need to try and not think about it so much! Hope the 2WW is going well for you this month

NinjaChipmunk · 04/10/2010 21:38

Grin at trying not to think about it! is that possible?
am due the same day as you and have been having lots of abdominal pressure/ a few rather sharp cramps today but am trying to stop myself thinking i might be pg in case i'm up for disappointment. it doesn't help that ds has been asking if we can have a baby (one friend had one 3 weeks ago and another is due this weekend), he keeps poking my tummy and asking if theres one in there and i just have to say no its just my dinner Blush

how's it for you this month?

OP posts:
PeevedEve · 04/10/2010 21:52

Erm, possible not to obsess about symptoms? Not really!

Your ds sounds lovely - hopefully he will be a big brother soon. Cute that he wants a baby!

Cramps & pressure are interesting but I know what you mean about not wanting to get your hopes up. Now we're on the home straight, it's hard not to be on 'body watch'.

As usual, i had some symptoms last week but not quite so strong this week.

NinjaChipmunk · 04/10/2010 22:19

i know, i'm counting down the days. i find i'm better when i'm occupied. dp is out and ds is asleep so i've plenty of thinking time this evening......

OP posts:
Gill79 · 05/10/2010 12:54

and so much easier to obsess when there's other people to do it with! As I was drifting off to sleep last night had all these acronyms going round in my head....

I'm a bit torn as to whether to test next weeek. Shall be on hols. On the one side, have been thinking about it so much I'll just be totally consumed by the question so if it's a BFN I want to know sooner rather than later so I can relax and enjoy myself (and of course enjoy a glass or two of wine with less guilt!) On the other hand would be worse if I got a BFP and then something went wrong while I was away.

Nina - my DS (2.8) is obsessed by babies in tummies and spends a lot of time with his dolly up his jumper Smile My friend is pg and he went looking for the baby in the front pocket of her hoodie.

Suffering and MissyK5 - sounds promising? Let us know what's happening....

Missyk5 · 05/10/2010 13:06

I still haven't got my period..., now 2 days late. However did a test yesterday morning and came back negative, though I'm not convinced to be honest.! I know on my first pregnancy I got a negative after my due period date and it was a good week later after my period was due that I finally got the positive. Any thoughts? Or would you all take it as a negative and await the period?.... :-(

sufferingbabyfever · 05/10/2010 21:57

Stupidly did an early test today. Negative obviously. Couldn't resist it. Well at least I don't have any in the house now.

It was a battle of wills thats was never gonna end well. Must.....not.....pee...on....you....oh....peed on you by accident.

I've still got hope though (thats good cos I've got not tests left!) Can't predict exactly when I'm due AF, sunday or early next week I think...

Gill79 · 05/10/2010 22:10

Hope still there for both of you! Fingers crossed.

9 days till AF and have a definite achey tummy this evening (and a rash.....Hmm)

Let's get those babies on their way sharpish so we can get as much child benefit in as we can before it gets taken away....

allthatjazz · 06/10/2010 09:10

hi all how we all doing? I am gagging to test but at 10dpo thats too early non? Had lots of symptoms yesterday and today so far not much really. I hate this bit just dont know if I am or not Hmm Can anyone cheer me up please? Irony- cheer comes up as cider on my predictive txt Grin

AuntFlosAssassin · 06/10/2010 13:47

Grin at jazzy. Im 7dpo and zilch in the way of symptoms-weirdly have not been obsessing about the symptoms this month . does no symptoms mean symptoms??

NinjaChipmunk · 06/10/2010 14:02

AFA ISN'T THAT A SYMPTOM IN ITSELF? [GRIN]

OP posts:
NinjaChipmunk · 06/10/2010 14:02

TerrysNo2 · 06/10/2010 14:44

Hello, can I join? This is my first ever 2ww and due AF on the 18th.

Not even sure if I have OV-ed this month, had EWCM but OPKs all negative. FF keeps changing its mind because of my temp so who knows. All v frustrating!

So !! Smile

NinjaChipmunk · 06/10/2010 14:48

hello! always nice to have some new people on here!
I've so far managed to avoid using opk's, however if i don't fall pg this month then i shall make them my next port of call. who out there can give me the lowdown on them then?

OP posts:
TerrysNo2 · 06/10/2010 14:54

Ninja as you can see, not me!!

Anyone else NOT had luck with OPK's? I am only testing once a day so wondering if I have a short window and am missing it??

I still have EWCM (sorry TMI!) but on CD18 not likely to be OV right? Although this is only my second cycle since DS was born, last one was 27 days.

buttonmoon78 · 06/10/2010 16:00

AF due on 17th - is there room for me?

Am already chewing my nails down to my knuckles in anticipation...

TerrysNo2 · 06/10/2010 16:12

buttonmoon I think we are the last ones on here (by AF due date). Hopefully we can keep each other company!

buttonmoon78 · 06/10/2010 16:49

Excellent - I thought there wouldn't be many of us that late...

TerrysNo2 · 06/10/2010 17:14

Now you have the button moon song in my head, was my favourite cartoon.... "..and we're off to button moon with mr spoon...da da da da da da" Hmm, maybe not so favourite as I don't remember all the words but it was in my toddler days. Now I do know all the words to the Funhouse theme tune!!

sufferingbabyfever · 06/10/2010 17:56

Its better to ignore the instructions on OPKs and test twice a day. As you can miss it. Like my one this month I tested as 5pm and it was positive (the only one i had) and because I fret over things I decided to check again later that night an hour or two max and it was negative. You can easily miss the window. In some women the surge only lasts ten hours so by testing once you can miss it.

alien06 · 06/10/2010 18:54

hey everyone , 8 days until predicted AF ( according to my iphone app!) had sharp pains in my lower abdomen for a good few days, not sure what these were?! also had lots of cm ( sorry if TMI!) now my boobs are starting to hurt, but that is due to imminent arrival of ERTD I guess :(

off to docs for another reason Monday , but going to ask about what the sharp pains could be as worried me, also tummy now all flabby, luckily that is very unusual for me :(

NinjaChipmunk · 06/10/2010 20:20

6 days to go here! not so much on the symptoms today but alien I have also been having random sharp pains every now and then. and a lot of pressure type feeling. however my tummy is always flabby. although it seems v bloated this week.
whats ERTD? good luck at the docs on monday.

I bought some cheap OPK's from babymad and you have to leave your sample to get to room temp for 30 mins before dipping the stick (all sounds lovely huh Hmm). So how do I do twice a day when I'm at work? Do they do the instant result ones and if so which should I buy??
