I have the Air Hockey and Ping pong tables on order.
I thought it being the first day of term we should move in and make ourselves at home.

BB thinking of you. x

Viv have a fab holiday. SO glad to hear you're preg is progressing well.

clareanna sorry to hear that all the shit is hitting the fan at the same time. Hope your DH is better soon and how sad for you to lose a friend/ex-boss.

urd - news??????

digi hang on in there, the first couple of weeks are the hardest and the slowest.

I'm on day 13, a couple of days ago I had my positive on OPK (second line was even darker than the control line - so that's good). Had pains since last night and have managed a good amount of SWI. So troops in place, bring on the egg (but make it the freshest egg possible please) Grin

Love to all.

To any X factors amongst you - enjoy tonight. (Jolls - stop salivating over Simon Cowell).

urd · 16/10/2010 16:36

Hi all just a quickie, still no sign of AF,5 days late, done another test today, felt sure, but no, got a BFN, gutted been really regular 27/28 days since MMC in Feb.

Prinpo · 16/10/2010 16:38

Hello everyone,

Can I join? Think this might be the thread for me. I decided a while ago that I was sick of having a season ticket for the sodding buses and I've stayed off the threads for a while but now feel the need to let rip in a way that I don't want to in RL. I'm guessing you know how that feels Smile.

Our situation: have two dds so very lucky, I know. They're 5 and 8. We started trying for number 3 in about March 2008. Had two mcs in 2009 and so far nada in 2010. I've been, I think, pretty sodding patient and stoical about the whole thing and now feel like throwing all of my toys out of the pram. Very down. Feel like I'm heading towards giving up and very, very sad at the prospect.

I'm 39 so it's to be expected that it should take a while for me to get pregnant. GP did some basic tests after 2nd mc which showed under active thyroid, but not bad enough for medication. I also know I have some cysts on my ovaries but, again, been told they're nothing to worry about. I'm way too fat, so I know that's not helping much. Basically, I think that we have lots of minor things against us but nothing that warrants any sort of intervention. I'm pretty sure I ovulate every month and my periods are pretty regular, so that's something at least.

Part of me is saying, "be patient, it will happen", but I feel as though I've been telling myself that for a while now and life feels like it's been on hold for too long.

Wow, I really needed to have a good old rant Confused. Thanks for that Smile.

Look forward to getting to know you (getting to know all about you).

hippychick66 · 16/10/2010 17:14

prinpo Hi - you sound like me. I have an under-active thyroid and am also on the plump side (to put it politely).

I also find myself thinking many of the things that you have said.

I go between, 'it will all happen soon and the next one will be fine' AND 'this will never happen, why not give up.' So I do know what you mean.

Welcome Smile.

digitalgirl · 17/10/2010 23:22

Welcome prinpo, sorry to hear it's taking so long for you. It's really hard feeling so out of control of such a huge part of your life. I found myself doing all sorts of things in order to regain control after my last mc - dieting, over-organising my social life (and poor ds's), starting a running regime...anything that made me feel that I was in charge again. I think it helped.

ladybee is it your appointment tomorrow? Good luck if it is.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. It was our anniversary yesterday so we went out for a lovely posh dinner and felt like a couple again. Then had family over today for a nice dinner - but didn't announce anything.

I have my scan tomorrow afternoon. Sort of wished I'd booked it for next week now...

Freezingmyarseoff · 18/10/2010 21:54

hello again everyone, I haven't posted in ages because internet access at my parents is totally pants so I'm completely out of touch with everyone, but I have been thinking of you all. It looks like there's quite a bit to catch up on.
BB I'm really sorry for you

MrsPV sorry that your mitts are still giving you grief

Viv have a lovely holiday

And big congrats to all the preggers ladies digital, viv, battery I've probably missed someone too, sorry if I have.

Well another month has gone by here without any SWI Blush, god I can't wait for our house to be finished so we can move back and get back to some semblance of normality, and a bit of nookie too Wink

Big waves to everyone

barrenbrook · 19/10/2010 07:02

Hola, just popping in to say hello and see if there's any news from digi..... I just saw it was a scan day for her yesterday.

How's everyone doing?

urd any sign of RTD yet?

prettymrsg what news? How's the handies? And splints?!

Welcome prinpo so very sorry you have had to go through the mc's. You've found your way to a lovely place, feel free to rant at will. I hope your stay doesn't keep you here too long (in the nicest possible way!)

I'm plodding on, CBFM says high, half of me wants to start again the other half wonders if there's any point as odds are I'll mc again. I think 5 will tip me over the edge. See, it's already making me pessimistic!

Love to all x

hippychick66 · 19/10/2010 10:00

BB Sad I really feel for you. i've had 2 MC's and I already think, "Oh what's the point" so i totally understand your fears after 4.

I keep saying to myself - You've gotta be in it to win it - and that makes me try again.Grin

I don't know your age but I am pretty sure you're younger than me (most people are!!! Blush). So if you want to take a month off of trying then I think you should. On the other hand you might prefer to just get back on the horse - IYSWIM. Good luck, sweetie. x

digitalgirl · 19/10/2010 10:21

bb have you had all the tests for recurrent mc? Seems like your cycle has bounced back fairly quickly, can't imagine giving it a miss for a month would make a huge difference in the grand scheme. After my last mc I was intent on waiting, but it took me 45 days to ovulate so by the time that swung round I was desperate to give it another go.

Thanks for looking out for me. Scan went well yesterday, measures 6 weeks and heartbeat was flickering away. They also found some evidence of bleeding, not near the pregnancy site, but warned me it may come out over the next few days - which I'm desperately hoping won't. Back in another couple of weeks to check all is progressing well. So keeping my fingers tightly crossed for then.

waves to freezing and hippy Smile

hippychick66 · 19/10/2010 10:23

digi Well done on seeing a heartbeat at 6 weeks. That's brillient. Take it one day at a time sweetheart. X

barrenbrook · 19/10/2010 12:20

hippy I'm 35, DH is 41 so I feel the impending doom ladened upon me by society that time is tick ticking away! I'm sure a break won't matter and would probably do me good, but we had an enforced one after mc 3 because of having tests.

digi my cycles are very regular now, even after mc, I'm def doing something right as I've got an abundance of EWCM again and have been pg 3 times since April this year. Trouble is, I dunno why they never get any further along than 6 ish weeks Sad I'm convinced my fertile state is alot to do with the acupuncture I've been having. We've had all the standard tests done after 3mc but apparently there's nothing wrong Hmm
So pleased for you that scan result was good and you saw hb! How lovely for you, hope you can relax a little now (I know, I know, easier said and all that!) I have my fingers crossed for you x

randomimposter · 19/10/2010 12:20

great news Digi. So pleased.

BB - know that feeling my lovely x

Big squeeze for all.

Some of my (MC) tests are back but not all. All ok so far. Have appt at private clinic on Fri. Not sure if there will be a magic wand... Grin.

CD4 for me; am clinging on that my cycle seems to have got back to normal after ERPC much quicker than last time. No idea if I ovulated, but at least the length was ok IYSWIM Confused.

Emotionally am in a much better place than last month. Feeling generally ok. Trying to focus on all life's positives of which there are many and remembering how many are in a sadder spot at any one time.

wave to all... much dash, cats to clean up after (have been saying that for an hour... Hmm)

barrenbrook · 19/10/2010 12:24

Ooo crossed posts jolls glad tests show no problems so far, fingers crossed it remains that way. Good to hear you are feeling better in yourself too, much love and hugs chicken xxx

Prinpo · 19/10/2010 13:11

Hello everyone,

.

Hope everyone's doing ok today. I'm so sorry to those who have recently mc. I know how difficult those first few weeks (and months) can be. My thoughts are with you.

Well, I summoned up the courage to visit the GP yesterday. It's something I've been putting off for ages because I'm overweight and feel so very down about that. He was absolutely lovely, agreed that weight wouldn't be helping matters but didn't go overboard about it. He's arranged for me to have the day 3 and day 21 tests. I know that the day 3 test is to test my ovarian reserve - can anyone tell me what that actually means? Is it just checking whether I ovulate or does it say anything about what state my eggs are in? Need to do some googling, I think, but I figured that you would all be pretty knowledgeable about it so I'd ask here too.

Other than that, my day is being spent clearing out the kitchen. Having a new one fitted next week - hooray. I'm taking DDs away (half-term) so that we're not here when it's being done. The only downer is that I won't be here during my fertile time so DH and I will have to SWI before and after and hope for the best. Oh well, at least if I don't get pregnant this month I'll have a nice kitchen. Smile

hippychick66 · 19/10/2010 13:38

BB - you're a spring chicken, lovie [hgrin]

littlemiss72 · 20/10/2010 08:30

Hey ladies, I've found you! Hope you don't mind me lurking in here for a while.. Hmm

Still on the highs and lows of TTC #1 BFP on Friday last week, nervous as hell right now after two MC this year.

Have made an appointment to see the Doc, hopefully for an early scan. I need some reassurance if at all possible just to stop me worrying!

Love to all x

clareanna · 20/10/2010 08:37

littlemiss just seen your post- fab news! [hgrin]
Hope your doc is helpful and supportive x

urd · 20/10/2010 10:33

Great news littlemiss -all the best.RTD got me today nine days late, god knows what happened this month, here we go again then, start of another month. Hi to all off now to my Zumba class that will lift the spirits.

digitalgirl · 20/10/2010 10:46

littlemiss fantastic news! 'Nervous as hell' seems to be about the usual response in our circumstances. Good luck with getting an early scan, I called my local EPU directly and bypassed the doctor as they had my history of 2 mc's and said to call them as soon as I got pg again.

urd sorry your cycle has mucked you about. Best of luck for this one.

hippychick66 · 20/10/2010 10:58

urd so sorry you have been got by the bitch. Maybe you should try charting this month so you can see what's going on.

Enjoy Zumba Confused Grin.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 20/10/2010 12:58

Great news Littlemiss!

CaribouMoo · 20/10/2010 17:07

Hi lassies, sorry I've not been about. I don't mind admitting now that I've been too busy making myself mentally ill with worry to come on MN!!

Littlemiss that's bloody brilliant news, hurrah! Not sure I'mm the best one to give tips on calming your nerves, although I have been doing well up until each scan then I lose it. Ask Viv and 8s, they seemed to do much better at being positive and taking it in their stride.

Digi fab news about your scan also, its such a relief isn't it? Jolls good news about results looking positive - is that you back in the saddle now? Oyster Bay going into administration soon?

Hello Prinpo you have found a good place to be. I don't actually know much about those tests - i think the early one is to test for egg reserves rather than quality, someone else will know for sure though.

BB hope you're hanging in there pal and looking after yourself. *Viv's suggestion of a holiday sounds good?

Waves to Clare, MrsPV, Hippy, Urd, Freezing and all the rest of the gang.

I had a lovely scan at the hospital today, which can prevent me from feeling mentally ill for another wee while. The MW from the MC clinic seems to come with me to all my scans now which is nice. Bean is spot on, 2 weeks bigger than last time - thrashing about waving and kicking, it was great. My Mum came with me as DH is in that London, she wept enough for us both I think! So things are good, who cares about being abolished by the government and getting made redundant!!
