Hiya,

I put August as its a little late for July!

I'm TTC number 4(!)

Due to test on the 15th August but don't think we have much chance this month as its only our first and DH has been ill for a few days and now I've got the bug, so not much romance happening!

So just wonderded if anyone is just starting TTC and wanted to join me?

Hi all,
Hope you're all ok. Have been symptom spotting like mad and hoping we had BD'd at the right time this cycle. For the last week have been feeling bloated with cramps, dizzy and sick, hopefully good signs but this mornings test showed negative. It was a cheapy stick one so not surprised as the cheapy Opk's I used didn't work either. Am due to come on any time now so will be testing everyday now with these sticks and will probably buy a clearblue when we get home(abroad at the mo)

lizandlulu · 08/10/2010 09:17

morning KHT1975, i hope its a positive for you, it might be too early to tell with the cheap tests? when do you get home?

i am on about day 22 of my cycle and as far as i can tell i think we bd'd over the right few days and all this week i have been feeling slightly naseous in the mornings, but am not holding out any hope, i dont want to get my hopes up again.

its gone abit quiet on here though, everyone else feeling ok?

BabsH · 09/10/2010 13:53

Morning,

I'm still here, but not really fussing too much about the whole baby thing, bar doing to BD with DH just incase it's our month.

Been getting on halloween and christmas preparation instead :)

How is everyone?

jollyjollymom · 09/10/2010 17:35

hey, I had my mirena coil out 2 months ago, looks like my periods are back to normal as I had 2 periods in 35 days apart, and TTC for 2nd pg for 3rd baby now, but nervous.... I had an elective c-section in my first pg as they were twins, so I am so terrified about a normal birth...

GruffaloMama · 09/10/2010 21:08

Hello all. Was away for a week - yummy italy - so been drinking too much, eating all the things you're not supposed to and even forgetting to take folic acid. A week into the 2WW and feeling absolutely no real symptoms. But according to the temp tracker etc we did BD around the right time so I guess I'll just have to wait and see... tick tock tick tock...

MadKatz · 10/10/2010 06:26

Hi all,
lizandluli sorry for the delayed reply am doing all this from my iPhone. We go home tomorrow and DH has insisted we buy a clearblue as all my daily cheap stick tests have been negative. I think it's too early too and have told him that, but we're both so keen to know one way or another

BabsH · 10/10/2010 07:34

Fingers crossed that you get a bfp MadKatz, let us know how you get on!

Hope you had a ball GruffaloMama, I've never been to Italy, it's on our to-do list and soon though!!

lizandlulu · 10/10/2010 09:38

morning everyone, woke up today and still feeling nauseous. but had such a vivid dream last night that i wasnt pregnant this month (but it was very odd in that it was dh that took the test and not me!) hope there is nothing in it!

af is due on thursday, if my cycle is going to be 30 days long, as it differs. but i am so busy this week that i wont have time to think about it. but if it hasnt come by thursday night i will HAVE to do a test. i cant stand the suspenseGrin

GruffaloMama · 10/10/2010 18:46

good luck madkatz. LandL - weird dream - maybe it's a sneaky double bluff thing! My AF is due sat (but I normally get spotting a couple of days earlier) so trying to work out if it's worth testing on Thurs/Fri if no sign of AF approaching. Mind you, I feel way less pregnant than last month. Just not getting the vibe. But strangely I feel less upset about it. Must be all the wine, caffeine and raw egg deserts from holiday flooding my system with endorphins!!!

BabsH - thanks - Italy was brill and renting a little villa actually worked out much cheaper than a bucket deal to spain/greece. The locals were fantastic with my DS (he turned two out there) and we had a really great time. Hmmm - back to work tomorrow. Gah. Will prob be so bored back in the daily grind that I'll end up imagining noticing pg symptoms and will be totally convinced by Fri that I'm up the duff.

eaglewings · 11/10/2010 17:20

In the 2 week wait at the moment, but not v hopeful as only managed to BD a day or 2 before ov. Feeling more hopeful for the next month as my Persona machine told me I have Ov though

Seeing your post Gruffalo reminded me to ask, as I have spotting acouple of days before my AF, does my cycle start with the spotting or the 'real thing'?

It was so much simpler 12 years ago when my body was younger! Now feeling old at 40+ Grin

lizandlulu · 11/10/2010 20:29

what counts as 2 week wait? is it 2 weeks from the day your af is due? dont thini could hang on that long!

lizandlulu · 11/10/2010 22:16

can someone come and talk me out of testing tonight please????? i have realised that today is monday, only 3 days till thursday (due thurs) and am sat here thinking i could test and it might be pos. but only have cheapy tests which mightn ot pick up hormones this early and dont want to be disappointed.

someone knock some sense in to me!!!

aaarrgggghhhhhh

eaglewings · 11/10/2010 23:38

I'd say the 2 week wait is from time of ovulation.

Hope you managed to wait till the morning lizandlulu then its only 2 days early!

Good Luck

MadKatz · 12/10/2010 09:01

Hi everyone,
Finally back home ....and straight back to work :(
Still feeling slightly nauseous, going to the loo a lot and feeling generally odd. Cheapy sticks still showing a negative but I suppose at least Im using them up! Won't be buying them again, hwever much money they have saved me.
DH and I agreed that if AF didnt appear this week (due on Thursday) then we would do a clearblue at the weekend.

lizandlulu · 12/10/2010 12:22

ohh madkatz we are due the same daySmile not sure if i can wait till the weekend though!

MadKatz · 12/10/2010 12:36

How do you feel lizandlulu, any symptoms?
All I keep thinking is if I'm not what the hell is going on!!
Well I am using the cheapy sticks everyday just to use them up and so I feel like I'm doing something. But am determined not to splash out on a clearblue until at least saturday - a bit of both really, want to make sure I'm late before I test and don't have much spare money to keep on buying them.

GruffaloMama · 12/10/2010 18:56

It all sounds good MadKatz... Fingers crossed for you and Lizandlulu.

Eaglewings according to the taking charge of your fertility book the spotting isn't the start of your new cycle, it's only when you get the 'real thing' that you start on day one... ifyswim?

Spotting started today for me and moody as hell so suspect no luck this month. At least I feel less guilty about all the naughty things on hols!

eaglewings · 12/10/2010 21:56

Gruffalo thank you for the info, sorry to hear that you are spotting :(

GruffaloMama · 12/10/2010 22:32

Thanks eaglewings - but honestly not feeling badly this month about it. I never got any preg symptoms so was pretty sure it hadn't happened. And it does mean that I won't be constantly guilt-tripping about forgetting the folic acid and knocking back tiramisu like it was going out of fashion...

Time to dust off the spangly shagging pants and cape...

lizandlulu · 12/10/2010 22:38

madkatz i have been feeling nauseous on and off for about a week, none today but all the rest of the week i have, and it has def not been all in my head. iam torn between buying a test from boots tomorrow as they are buy one get one free and will need one at somepoint anyway. i do have one in the cupboard tho, its not a fancy one, but not one of the cheapy ones either. its a proper pee on one. like you say, its a waste of money to keep buyng them but if i do get a pos on the test i already have, should i get another to doubly confirm it?

MadKatz · 13/10/2010 07:21

lizandlulu I think when I get a bfp I will then be buying at least one more test to confirm it. I know it may sound a bit mad but I will definitely want it confirmed. Then I guess it will be a visit to my GP where I assume they will do blood tests to check?
Thursday is my due date according to FF - thats another thing I'm having to cope with: Fluctuating cycle lengths. Since coming off the pill end of May, my cycle lengths have been 28, 34, 25, 22 and the current one 27 days (including today). I have no idea how they work that out when I'm due so I am having to go by FF as I cant work it out myself Confused

MadKatz · 13/10/2010 12:33

OMG I am so crampy and nauseous today, don't even want coffee (and that's really not me)Shock
Is this a sign of things to come? Smile

lizandlulu · 13/10/2010 15:06

my af came this morningSad not happy.

BabsH · 13/10/2010 18:19

Hi Ladies,

MadKatz apparently you dont need to go to the doctor to get a confirmation of pregnancy, if the test says your pregnant, it's so accurate, you just need to book an appointment with the midwife instead.

Sorry to hear you got AF lizandlulu, maybe next month will be the month, just in time for christmas and then the interesting reasons you'll have to come up with for not drinking without letting people know that your pregnant too early!!!

I've been having weird sensations in my stomach for the last couple of days and a crampy sensation today, but wonder whether I am just not eating enough?!? Should be a couple of weeks to AF so will see what happens!

MadKatz · 13/10/2010 19:48

Oh lizandlulu so sorry to hear you got AF. Good luck for next month.
DH and I went to Asda tonight after work and bought clear blues. Gonna do one in the morning. Am feeling really crampy like AF but I normally only get it for one day a month - the day before my AF - but have been like this for 2 weeks now. Tired, nauseous, and dizzy so hoping its a BFP as I dont normally get those symptoms with my AF. Roll on tomorrow.
