There will be other smaller gifts such as the laptops, Ipods, Xbox's, just stocking fillers this year.

simpson - I think our DDs are getting the same Peppa Pig

Santa has said no more dolls in this hosue we have far too many but I bet someone buys them a doll each, one year we had 4 of the same baby doll, I have given loads away to toddler groups etc I think relatives think "little girls = dolls" feel ungrateful now though.

Ds wants Hotwheels having been suckered by the adverts but reviews say they're awful.

So in all likelihood:

DS(5) Playmobil or Scalextric & books
DD (3) 1st bike & books

fartmeistergeneral · 25/11/2009 17:16

Hotwheels playsets - waste of money alert!!!!!

saggyhairyarse · 25/11/2009 22:42

For my DS1 it is the Club Penguin Igloo
DD is having a DS
DS2 maybe the Imageinext Helicopter

mistletoekisses · 26/11/2009 07:49

DS (2.4) is getting a train set and playtable to put it all on (the table is more for our sanity tbh than his enjoyment )

HgDad · 27/11/2009 00:07

What an interesting thread! DSs (6,4) are getting Pitchcar.

Who am I kidding - the kids are just an excuse to buy the toys I want!

DippyDino · 27/11/2009 17:09

DD1 (3) - elc goosefeather farm set, electronic bongos (oh yeah!) lots of playmobil, dinosaurs, stocking fillers.

I have got the family a Wii + games.

I feel it's worth mentioning that we have no other family, so what dd gets from us is all she gets! Not just because me and dh love Xmas and over-do it...

BloodRedTulips · 27/11/2009 17:20

dd (4) - Little Einsteins rocket from santa and a DS lite with nintendogs from us

ds1 (3) - Ben 10 scooter from santa and a duplo firestation and a lovely wooden firetruck from us

ds2 (10 months) - a wheelybug from santa and against my better judgement a fisher price animal train from us

we've got lots of other bits and pieces for them as well.

i've been picking up things here and there for months so they have books, dvd's and a few smaller presents each, not to mention the Wii that's there as a family present thanks to MoL giving us some cash a few months back.

we spoil them but then they don't get spoiled any other time of the year and we've had a few rotten lean christmas' so we enjoy spending the money on them.

pinkchampagne · 27/11/2009 17:21

DS1(10) is getting the lego pyramid game, a robot & a lego star wars wii game.
DS2 (6) is getting the playmobil police station & a Ben 10 MP3 player

shockers · 27/11/2009 17:23

LeninGrad

Main present is a 4 in 1 games table... table footie, air hockey, ping pong and pool. This is between DS (9) and DD (11). They found it in the Letterbox catalogue and asked for it for the family.

shockers · 27/11/2009 17:25

We got the Roby doll for DD for her birthday which is only a couple of days before Christmas.

Buda · 27/11/2009 17:28

DS (8)wants an iPod, a Liverpool jersey (to add to the massive collection of jerseys he has!), some WWE bits and a PS game of WWE. I have also got him some board games - Trionimoes and Mastermind and a Star Wars model to build. I am also about to order a set of Astrosaurs books from The Book People for him.

Stocking fillers are a small Lego Creator set, WWE Tattoos, WWE Top Trumps some chocolate coins and a couple of satsumas. Maybe some other bits if I spot anything interesting.

ds (8) is getting a beano subscription and a ukelele
dd is getting a marble run and a drum.

We have a no plastic rule in force this christmas due to the avalanche of plastic tat produced by recent birthdays.
