The deadlne for donations and nominations is just under a week away.

If you need to know what it is all about then here are some links

where it all started with Soapy in 2006

and lapin took over in 2007

2007 thank you thread

2008 appeal from StGeorge

thank you thread 2008

and this is this years effort

Just to make clear. No names will be given out unless I have permission.

If you would like to donate or nominate please email me at

[email protected]

All nominees must have been registered Mumsnet members BEFORE July 1st 2009.
I would prefer nominators to have been Mumsnet members before September 1st 2009

The deadline for signing up is November 8th to allow plenty of time. I aim to have the matches out by December 1st to give plenty of time for the trip to queue at the post office.

Now tell me those thank you threads don't make you a little bit teary

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/11/2009 21:13

See previous comment

I have lots of each. More donors are always loved and cherished

squeaver · 04/11/2009 21:18

Oh Johnnie's just getting a bit crawly bum-licky now isn't he??

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/11/2009 21:26

Norty Squeaver

He is lovely.

DanJARMouse · 04/11/2009 21:34

This is amazing.

I remember a few years back we got a few companies on board, a lot of people got christmas trees and vouchers and things.... tis lovely.

Its even more admirable of Boden, since he had already donated a huge amount to trinity and her family, especially in the so called "economic downturn"

guess our free publicity is worth the best part of £1000 he has donated!!!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 04/11/2009 22:56

I am off to bed.

DH has promised me a back massage (down ladies, just a massage)

I have replied to all emails received before midday today (I hope). I will get onto the rest in the morning

tootiredtothink · 05/11/2009 15:55

Norma, for those of us me who have not organised presents already, and are waiting to see who they're matched to, would you be able to let us know before 1st?

Shopping and waiting in the post office queue.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/11/2009 16:17

I will let you know as soon as I can

It is impossible hard to start matching before the lists are closed, but I will do it a quickly as I can.

1st December is the last date when you will get a match

tootiredtothink · 05/11/2009 16:33

Thanks Norma - and please do not think for a second that I think you should be doing this any quicker. I would have gone insane long ago.

stickylittlefingers · 05/11/2009 16:40

hi have emailed you (I hope!). I feel I ought to go and buy something from Boden in appreciation (rather than just taking my boss's children's hand me downs all the time!). So lovely when things like this happen - ought to be reported on the news to lighten all that doom and gloom...

notgettingmuchdone · 05/11/2009 17:04

Just emailed you now, hope I'm not too late sorry just really wanted to use that and have to run off and pick up DS so no chance to post elsewhere are use it appropriately

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/11/2009 17:10

SLF - got it.

notgettingmuchdone - got yours too

I have replied to all emails received up to mid-day yesterday

All emails sent since then should have a reply tomorrow night ( I will reply to all of them while commuting tomorrow, but they don't atually send until I get home at 7ish)

Hope that is OK

norksinmywaistband · 05/11/2009 19:01

Sorry Norma, I am going to sadly withdraw my offer of a donation due an change in circumstances.
Really wanted to take part this year

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/11/2009 19:05

No worries. You have enough on your plate. Nobody would want someone to try to give when it will make things even harder for them.

Take care

AnnieBeansMum · 06/11/2009 12:47

I just wanted to say that if you can afford to take part, however small, definitely do it. I was a giver last year and it was such an incredible feeling to know I was helping to make someone's Christmas better.

Sadly, I can't do it this year as it looks as though DH is going to be made redundant (after having his full time hours reduced to part time ). If I had two pennies to rub together, one of those pennies would be going towards the Christmas appeal. It is such a wonderful, worthwhile idea.

jafina · 06/11/2009 13:08

Hiya, I emailed on 4/11, did you get it?

thanks!

Fabster · 06/11/2009 14:01
