Or not?

We only started doing stockings last year and for the life of me I can't remember what we did with them.

I haven't.

Oh don't tell me I have to.

AMIStletoekiss · 23/12/2008 16:24

Wrap but no tags here

MissisBoot · 23/12/2008 16:24

yes definitely - not the clementine though

AMIStletoekiss · 23/12/2008 16:24

You could argue they're all "wrapped" by the stocking if you don't want to....

AaliyahsFirstXmas · 23/12/2008 16:25

I've wrapped the pressents but not the orange

ThatAngelsGotATreeUpHerArse · 23/12/2008 16:25

not usually

thisisyesterday · 23/12/2008 16:25

i do, because my mum did. but I keep thinking maybe I won#t bother. when you see pics of old-fashioned stockings hanging by the fire you can always see the presents in the top can't you?
so prob not bnecessary

thisisyesterday · 23/12/2008 16:25

although, it does mean they spend more time on each presdent, instead of just emtying it out in a big pile lol

Jux · 23/12/2008 16:25

No no no no no! Life's too short.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 23/12/2008 16:26

Yes bags us some extra time in bed before we have to get up when they open them at the bottom of the bed!

treacletart · 23/12/2008 16:26

Santa always uses coloured tissue paper at our house.

NappiesGaloriaInExcelsis · 23/12/2008 16:26

sometimes. well, i intended to wrap a few bits, slow the opening down and prolong the pleasure... only i didnt have time in the end and now none of them are wrapped.

my mum was the queen of stockings, she made it an artform. she used to wrap a few of the nicest/most personal bits in each stocking.

NAB3hundredChristmaslights · 23/12/2008 16:27

Last year my DCs were so naughty they got vegetables in their stockings and we didn't wrap those.

This year, stocking presents are wrapped but not labelled as from FC. Other presents are wrapped and labelled from DH and I.

BONKERZ · 23/12/2008 16:28

we do, anything that extends the present time is good, last years dcs were unwrapping for 3 hours and most of that was cheap fillers!!!!! the smaller filler presents are always in front of the bigger ones!!!! Normally finished by 9!

ChasingSquirrels · 23/12/2008 16:54

yes, wrapped but not labeled.

WFT did they do to end up with veggies??

cherryontopofthexmastree · 23/12/2008 16:57

some of them, usually the ones which are regular shaped, and not really tiny

TooFoggy · 23/12/2008 16:58

nooooooooo lol
not inside the stocking

TsarHumbug · 23/12/2008 16:59

No, I don't. I can't wrap up the contents of 3 stockings; it'd take me until next Christmas!

Wallace · 23/12/2008 17:00

NO, NOT WRAPPED

Wallace · 23/12/2008 17:01

oops sorry capslock. But I do feel strongly about ti

lindenlass · 23/12/2008 17:01

Yes! I have lovely memories of unwrapping stuff from our stockings on my parents bed and the bed being covered in wrapping paper and having to try and find all the presents after they'd all been opened! You get the fun twice if you wrap them - once when you pull it out of the stocking, and again when you unwrap it . We used cheap tissue paper this year, though, rather than wrapping paper. It's a bit of a waste, granted!

CatMandu · 23/12/2008 17:01

red and white tissue paper in this house except orange and chocies.

NAB3hundredChristmaslights · 23/12/2008 17:02

They were being very naughty and I said FC would bring vegetables if they carried on. They did, so he did! Had to laugh when I read his work and he had put down he got vegetables and books for Christmas. Goodness knows what his teacher thought.

Winebeforepearls · 23/12/2008 17:02

I was up til midnight last night wrapping stockings and now have a lurgy

Let that be a lesson to you all

sitdownpleasegeorge · 23/12/2008 17:02

What you gain in lie in time whilst they are opening them all, you lose in "me time" the night before whilst having to wrap them all so I don't wrap stocking stuff.
