Im a bit disapointed as i was always a bloody angel

Im sure she will make a lovely Angel

DD (Y2) is Mary. No lines but she has to sing a solo, which she is very excited about (only one to be doing it).

DS is a very proud 'brown cow'. A non speaking part which he is very pleased to have attained.

There do seem to be an awful lot of animals in this particular nativity version.

DS was a cow once. He got told off for not singing 'Away in a manger'. He informed the preschool leader that cows do not sing. He is a method actor

My dd1 is an angel. She spent 15 minutes this evening running in circles round the kitchen, shouting tunelessly singing angelically "Boogie woogie Santa, won't you come and boogie woogie with me", which is apparently one of the songs in the show. I now have a headache.

DD says she is the donkey that the kings ride on. I think she means camel

My DD (aged 4) is thrilled to be an angel and is also singing a solo!!
I am more nervous than her because last year (dressed as a cinderella doll) she was the only child to sit with her back to the audience for the entire performance after telling her teacher 'I do not like those people-make them go away!!!'

DS is an Elf - I don't actually recall Elves being at the birth of Jesus - but it's there, in the script. I personally think they are going to have a nightmare getting said Elf to cooperate at all and I shall be sitting at the back pretending HE'S NOT MY ELF!

DS2(6)is a gangster! Can't wait to see how that ties in with the Christmas story!

DD is the donkey - and she insisted too. Was meant to be an angel but wanted to be the donkey. I keep thinking she's going to change her mind but she's seem the angel's tinselly costumes and is still proud to be the donkey. So, as long as she's happy so am I.

Hmm.. clearly amongst the nursery crowds the donkey is the key role. I shall remember this when the mother of mary gloats .

DD is Hotel Keeper 3 . Her one line to be shouted enthusiastically with a dick van dycke-esque swing of the leg and arm is "comfy beds".
