Does anyone any suggestions for a present for a 60 something male friend of the family. Likes a drink and is high brow scientific. A storm glass went down well once. Struggling since then!

charles Tyrwhitt have a sale appears to be both online and in store. I got a 100% Linen shirt down from £74.95 to £29.95.
Local store didn't have size I require so went online and did click and collect worth it if you can as they charge £4.95 for delivery. There is some sort of promotion going on that gives free delivery to new customers but I couldn't get it to work.

Those lids are an utter nightmare to get on and off, mind. I bought them two years ago and have just cleared them from my wardrobe earlier today.

Ive been buying a few for the last couple of weeks.

Just doing a plug for these mug warmers that I purchased on a QVC offer last week. The offer was 2 for £26.88, but they're back up to 2 for £37.92 now.

If the offer comes round again I'm definitely getting more for Christmas gifts. They are really good! I can only drink tea and coffee when it's hot, if it gets to a certain temperature I can't drink it, and I don't like it microwaved. I returned an expensive Ember mug as it just didn't keep my tea warm enough. The heated pads for the Simpli ones have kept my teas hot all day, and they also work with mugs I already have. I thought they'd be rubbish, but I am really impressed with them 🙂☕

My tour of Northern bargains continues:

Mountain Warehouse in Ambleside has some good camping stuff reduced - for example, cute tin mugs for £2.99.

In Bowness, Peter Rabbit & Friends has the cute Peter Rabbits in a bag reduced from £16 to £9.99 and some other nice things reduced as well, including some lovely baby gift sets and soft toys.

Over at the Ambleside Beatrix Potter shop, there are some homeware items reduced.

Herdy has a few cute items reduced, too.

On a non-shopping note, I would like to give a shout out to the lovely Siam Thai restaurant in Bowness - dog-friendly, great service and a brilliant lunch menu of main dish and side for £12 pp!

I bought those candles to give as gifts but I ended up keeping them. The lids were awful and I couldn't gift them. They're still around somewhere, even the smells weren't great.

Yes, they were £6 a couple of years ago and I honestly wouldn't recommend them. They also allude to 'natural oils' but are anything but.

I actually recommended them on here when I first found them on Amazon (before I received them) Posted in excitement due to the price thinking they were a great deal. Lesson learned.

I've ordered the Sock Shop socks! Those who split them up - do they have any clue to there being socks inside? Just wondering how to gift them individually 😄

Ive ordered two packs to split for my advent bags (I gift adult kids and hard to buy for relative and his partner December bags filled with goodies to enjoy over the advent period). Plus they also have v cute baby slipper socks
which I also bought for littlest grandbaby and walking socks for our friends birthday too to get free delivery and a free gift too!
