The dreaded Secret Santa - £10 limit!

Very small team - only 4 of us and everyone else loves it so it starts getting awkward if I rule myself out to be honest (although I’d much rather rule myself out 🤣)

This year I’ve drawn the youngest in the team who I rarely work with so don’t know as well as the others - 25, very pink and girly, very religious, doesn’t drink, likes Disney. Quite opposite to me 🤣

Strict £10 limit - and vouchers are not allowed.

Anyone better at this than me? 🤣

I second this too! She will love that! She'll get to put it on her Christmas tree every year!

How about a nice Cookbook broaden her horizons.

Sounds like a good way to be reported to HR!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 03/12/2025 08:35

Get her this from Amazon...

You may well derail the concept of Secret Santa for next year!

(It's not real. 😟)

We use Elfster. It’s free. Everyone who is taking part signs up. Each person can put ideas of things they like. Elfster makes the draw and matches the Secret Santa with the recipient. Easy.

A goody bag of pamper stuff. Pound shop or primark. Easy peasy

Lip balm. In the sales you can get a decent one for £10. I wouldn’t do lots of £1 things that will eventually get binned.

£10 lip balm?! In the sales?!

I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than £2.99 on lip balm and would be seriously unimpressed with it as a secret santa present!

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 03/12/2025 11:42

I just bought my dd a beautiful pastel pink scarf from primark for £5 and fluffy reusable hand warmers in dusty pink £3, add a £2 lip balm or Disney socks and your sorted.

M and S Biscuit tin .light /music played by revolving lid £10.00. Costa gift sets various prices online .Sock sets under a tenner m and s.Secret Santa at £10 is more difficult to achieve now I think

DaisyChain505 · 03/12/2025 12:15

A mug filled with a sachet of hot chocolate, a chocolate bar and a book on the side. A Perfect cosy night in set.

SpiceGhoul · 03/12/2025 13:17

I would buy this mug/sock set from Asda for £6 and I agree with the Morrison's Christmas Bells mentioned earlier, they're fab for £2.50. I'd then buy either one of those 50p hot chocolate sachets and bag of mini marshmallows or just some chocolate/sweets or a facemask.

I got one for secret Santa and thought it was a lovely gift. I’m not sure I’ve spent less than £10 on a lip balm!

jocktamsonsbairn · 03/12/2025 14:03

Join Anthropologie and sign up for their perks, in a few days you’ll get a £20 off voucher which you can spend on one full price item. You could get her a jelly at coffee to go back charm (it’s £23 😧) for £3 plus postage. I had to get 2 (registered twice using dads email) for dd and DS’ gf who are similar ages. Cost me about £6 but they will be delighted. I would never have paid £23 for them though but seems to be what they like! One of my colleagues is 28 and she sounds exactly like your gift recipient and she loves jelly cats too.

Otherwise you can’t go wrong with Disney! Or check out Accessorize sale and get something lovely there.

EverardDeTroyes · 03/12/2025 14:09

Some Christmas themed slipper socks.

My dd once had to buy for a boy in her sixth form class. She bought reindeer slipper socks and he was thrilled. The annoying bit was she couldn't let on to him that she had given them to him as it was a secret Santa.

Most people accept their secret Santa gift isn't going to be anything significant so it is nice to have fun and buy something seasonal and silly.

TeaAndCock · 03/12/2025 14:13

I’d go to home bargains and get her a mug, ideally Disney, some Disney socks, big bar of galaxy and a couple of galaxy hot choc sachets

RandomUsernameHere · 03/12/2025 16:48

I got a small Neom candle for my work secret santa.

PigeonsandSquirrels · 03/12/2025 16:54

I’d get her this mug - it’s like a Tinkerbell teacup and very girly: https://flyingtiger.com/en-gb/products/butterfly-mug-with-saucer-110-ml-3061393?variant=53884864921948&currency=GBP&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=18376705661&utm_content=&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18373444735&gbraid=0AAAAAC0qIipz9qcY4YZWkLqsupSwP2Opf&gclid=CjwKCAiA3L_JBhAlEiwAlcWO55zXuexEUvy6sOUBGl6dNn0-XVARoNqaivoq2wWmJ3Y5-j2I5x6SHhoC4LoQAvD_BwE

Peachee · 03/12/2025 17:35

I would get her a Disney funko pop! She can keep it on her desk :)

Redragtoabull · 03/12/2025 20:10

Oliver Bonas Cherry / Gingerbread or Bergamot Shower Steamer, a £10 and quite a niche gift.

UnintentionalArcher · 03/12/2025 20:33

Untailored · 02/12/2025 16:12

Why not something to eat? A panettone or a super fancy chocolate log?

If she can’t eat it, someone in her family probably will so at least it’s something that’ll get used.

Edited

Ooh, I would love a super fancy chocolate log!

HildegardP · 03/12/2025 21:31

The Disney Store has a "gifts under £10" section that could help.

DearZebra · 03/12/2025 22:03

Marks and Spencer have very nice big colourful tins of ‘Very Merry Munch’ snacks and they are exactly £10!

Grammarnut · 03/12/2025 23:33

teaandtoastwouldbenice · 02/12/2025 14:16

Compact mirror
mug/drinks bottle
photo frame
sweets/chocolates
phone charm or case
snow globe
lip balm or hand cream
trinket dish
coin purse
candle
tree decoration

£10 budget is getting increasingly difficult! I feel your secret Santa pain

Agree. My budget was £5. Luckily Superdrug was having a Black Friday event!

TeaBiscuitsNaptime · 04/12/2025 00:09

Disney cozy socks and a hot chocolate/choc bomb set
