So she’s not into the fashion brands. She is quite sporty
she is getting as her main gifts

a ninja creamie
a gold name necklace
a gold moon bracelet

other gifts I have so far
sports kit (for her team sport)
new gear bag
victoria secret spray

I don’t do stockings but I need ideas for the smaller gifts…this girl has everything but throw your suggestions at me please!

Your children will have lovely memories of Xmas and the effort you put in trying to find gifts they like. Ignore any negative comments.

Dd 12 just had a birthday. She got converse, a skirt she wanted, two jelly cats, a jellycat Keyring, some skin care, tinted moisturiser, novelty pjs, fluffy slipper socks, a new dressing gown and some books.
For Christmas I’ve bought her a hot brush for her hair, new football boots, a hoodie, a new desk with light up mirror. Possible small/ stocking fillers- blusher drops, lip balms, p Louise bits, chocolate, some nice note books, she also likes the look of those get a hug bears advertised on fb so might get her a Keyring one of those, also maybe one of those mini beginner crochet sets where you make a small animal

Swetty Betty is more an older persons brand because it holds in all the wobbly bits that teens tend not to have. Great quality though. Lululemon is a bit younger and also Alo but I don't rate Alo's quality.

It seems like you are pretty much sorted now OP. I always try and get brand name/higher quality versions of things they already use so the example would be Nike sports socks instead of M & S. At that age dd liked L'Occitane but that was partly because they did a Royal Ballet collab.

For skincare for that age range I highly rate Byoma. Boots & Sephora do some nice gift sets. My dd loves the jelly cleanser.

She wears black Nike socks for school so I got her white ones that are new balance for a change. Took advantage of the boot 3 for 2 offer too so that hit me the byoma set! 🙌

Oops, just noticed that I missed the Byooma set on your photo.

Also her gifts DON'T all relate to her appearance. She is sporty. When you are sporty you tend to want to keep on top of personal hygeine, skincare (if it's an outdoors sport you can be out in the wind a lot etc and you also get sweaty & oily) Haircare can be important as you are often washing it more often due to the sport or tying it back out of the way.

Yes!, she plays two fast paced field team sports, she has curly hair which she looks after. She takes pride in her appearance but not in a vain way. I think most teenagers are like this tbh.

Pyjamatimenow · 11/11/2025 10:14

I think it’s good at this age to take pride in your appearance. I encourage mine to keep her hair nice, look after her skin and wear nice clothing. I would do the same if she was a boy

Comefromaway · 11/11/2025 10:23

The fact that you have gone for Byoma and not a tik tok influenced brand like Drunk Elephant tells me she is not appearance obsessed. Drunk Elephant is completely unsuitable for teen skin who should be steering well clear of active ingredients that will ruin their skin barrier. Byoma is based around gentle cleansing, hydration and dealing with any oiliness/outbreaks.

Neither of us have TikTok so I have no idea what the latest fads are to be honest. I just go off what I read here mostly 😆

I think your gifts sound nice, op, and I'm sad you've got so much negativity on here! People haven't been kind.

Some of the smaller things I've got for my 12yo dd are:
An escape room game
A box that makes soothing bird noises for her bedroom
Adult sticker book
A book nook kit
Some new coloured pencils and shading pencils

Thank you so much! This is such a great idea she loves listening to relaxing music going to bed so this might suit her too.

Update! Thanks everyone!

So I think this is everything except her main gifts and her sports kit and gear bag (have bought these but they have not arrived yet)

I don’t do stockings so this is stocking type gifts and other necessities.

her main gifts are-
ninja creamie (from Santa)- still to be purchased
necklace and bracelet (from us)- bought but not arrived yet

I think this is enough, although knowing me I’ll spot a few other small bits from now til Christmas 😅

I think her gifts look lovely. When people see a bigger budget on here they instantly assume you’re buying a big pile of tat! It doesn’t go far nowadays at all.

My dd will be 12 just before Xmas and is the opposite to your dd (non sporty, alternative fashion!!) and will have similar things but in a different style 😄

Sounds perfect! I love seeing what other teens are getting and are into, they have such emerging styles and hobbies at those ages! It’s great 😊

Quick last one. With the razor I find that the Dove shower and shave mousse is the nicest thing to use. It's a foam shower gel that smells nice, unlike normal shaving foam and doesn't clog the razor like soap/normal shower gel. Mainstream shops seem to have stopped selling it but I get it from Home Bargains/B & M. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dove-Coconut-Mousse-Oil-Shower/dp/B079JFKN96/ref=asc_df_B079JFKN96?mcid=0452d134fcb33194b652fc43e8c10111&hvocijid=15927391652492842345-B079JFKN96-&hvexpln=74&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15927391652492842345&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1007121&hvtargid=pla-2281435177178&gad_source=1&th=1

Fantastic thank you!! I’ll grab this too 🙌🙌
