So she’s not into the fashion brands. She is quite sporty
she is getting as her main gifts

a ninja creamie
a gold name necklace
a gold moon bracelet

other gifts I have so far
sports kit (for her team sport)
new gear bag
victoria secret spray

I don’t do stockings but I need ideas for the smaller gifts…this girl has everything but throw your suggestions at me please!

Won’t the ninja creamie be kept in the kitchen and anyone can use whenever they fancy?

Andsomemore · 08/11/2025 16:09

That is an insane amount of money to spend on junk for a child that she doesn’t need. You’re literally buying stuff for the sake of having stuff to wrap up.

A lot of what the op has bought… I just buy throughout the year ie sports kits, socks, hair bobbles etc.

so it doesn’t look so shocking when you think of it like that surely?!

Andsomemore · 08/11/2025 16:10

Does she need to shave?

Does she need to shave?

Yes she’s 12.5…she shaves her legs and underarms.

Edited

Yes it will be in the kitchen and she can use it whenever suits. She asked for it so I’m not going to argue. She loves smoothies, sorbets and ice cream. She’s great in the kitchen.

How about books or craft kits or an experience?

Nearly all of the gifts you have listed pertain to her appearance, have you noticed that?

But isn’t it a family present? Ie anyone could use it?

Andsomemore · 08/11/2025 16:25

I mean it sounds great! I’m just wondering how this will be special to her when surely if anyone fancied using they’d just get it out the cupboard?

Andsomemore · 08/11/2025 16:26

My 12.5 has asked for sweaty betty leggings!

She doesn’t like reading…and not all pertain to appearance, her main gift is an ice cream maker and her team sports kit and bag!
lego- crafting in a sense!
boba tea
socks…
stop trying to read into things when you have no idea! She’s a very well rounded child. Shes great likes to curl her hair, she shaves because she was “blessed” with dark hair!
she likes skin care
theres is NOTHING wrong with that

Well I won’t be using it… and neither will anyone else in the house tbh. so it’s hers because she’s asked for it. She’s in charge of it. I prefer hot things 🤣

I have no idea If dd knows of sweaty betty tbh. We don’t live near great shops tbh, do they do teen clothing?

They do xxs

basically it’s eye watering expensive gym gear

Andsomemore · 08/11/2025 16:33

I could go on and on buying for dd (almost 13)

but my DS 15.5…. Impossible!

That’s so funny. I looked at the pogo sticks today in Smyths and I thought would they like that? But I’m a really nervous disposition so I think I would be nervous watching them falling off it. 🤣🤣

Oh I have got an adult really springy one rather than kids related. I know that my son will want a go too.

sorry to head off…. Dinner to do!

Delighted with the bits I got today! Thank you all for the suggestions and tips. She needed some of these things too, nearly there for dd.
went with new balance socks because I’m fed up of seeing Nike on her tbh 😂

I hope she’ll be grateful. That’s so much money. I know it’s all relative to what everyone has but my eye popped!

She will be very grateful ☺️ she’s great and deserves it all. I literally only treat mine to these things at Christmas and birthdays. I don’t buy anything much other than clothing they need throughout the year.

You see I think that’s sad. Ours had modest Christmas gifts but were treated throughout the year, as required.

That’s great, we do things differently. Mine don’t even ask for things throughout the year tbh. I will buy them clothing/shoes when needed because that’s my job as a parent. My dd will treat herself to little things from money she gets from birthdays etc. i wouldn’t feel the need or want to buy her a Lego set at any other time of year.

We certainly will. I have most things sorted for her and my DS now. I like to get sorted early. I hope you have a great Christmas too!
