Adult stocking fillers 2025! Starting with this year's hits

I was amazed at the traffic on this thread, so thought I'd ask for your biggest ADULT stocking. filler hits this year.

I'll start us off:
Olive spoons and pickle forks were suggested on the previous thread. Each half if the couples got a spoon or a fork, wrapped with a jar of olives or pickles. All brought out and used with last night's cheeseboard, wasn't the intention but anyway they seemed to be well received.

AirPod cleaning tool.

evtheria · 26/12/2024 16:04

• Earbuds/EarPods cleaning kit, seen on another thread of things for teens but made some adults very happy too.
• proper playing cards with really gorgeous designs (we bought Bicycle branded ones), they came with a QR code to learn new card games.
• a bit more niche, but found one of those 'handbag hooks' for SIL, to hang her nice ones off tables when out. She was so pleased!

MIL a christmas bunty magazine from 1959 (the year she'd have been reading it). She got teary reminiscing it was nice :)

SIL a "fast forward" mag from 90s with east 17 on the cover, she loved it!

Everyone got a burts bees lipsalve, went down a treat

A tin wind up hopping frog (bought on eBay)

I went for some adult appropriate stuff and some nostalgic bits. Oh and glider planes that we were then playing with around the house :)

I got DS the Belkin AirPod cleaning kit last year on the back of one of these threads, it destroyed his AirPods, they ended up with the audio sounding really crackly and muffled. Only then did I find and read all the terrible reviews.

Thankfully I’d bought the kit from Apple, who replaced his AirPods for free.

I’m making a note of the pickle and olive spoons and forks for next year!

OMGitsnotgood · 26/12/2024 17:03

@Mylittledrum these sound like my kinds of stocking fillers. Love the Bunty idea!

Oh gosh @WickedlyCharmed , thank you for posting this as I hadn't hear of a cleaning kit before this thread, so was thinking it was a good idea for next year. Will definitely check reviews first!

Loved last year's thread! As a result of a suggestion on there I ended up getting several Christmas presents as well as stocking fillers from the seemingly permanent sale at Cook Serve Enjoy.

Victoria Beckham Cocoa Brown Kajal Eyeliner.

MissyB1 · 26/12/2024 17:45

For ds - an electric pump for bike or football
for me - a Jackie annual from 1983

rabbitsandrhubarb · 26/12/2024 17:54

Mini QT puzzles from Victory puzzles. Beautifully packaged in round tins, quality wooden pieces cut in very unusual shapes with some ‘special’ figures in each. We had a puzzle race this afternoon which was good fun.

StressedQueen · 26/12/2024 20:15

I got wildflower seeds and a small book of positivity which I loved

OMGitsnotgood · 23/01/2025 07:13

For anyone who didn't read the previous thread: I have a 'Christmas' note on my phone all year round where I note down ideas for people as things crop up over the year (don't buy until the end of the year though!) Specifically stocking fillers because my adult DC refuse to let go of their stockings and it is becoming increasingly hard to think of new ideas, we don't spend a lot on the stockings but I don't want tat that won't be used.

We had a cheeseboard at friends recently. They put Medjool dates, as well as walnuts and dried apricots, on tbe platter. DH loved the dates (very different to those in the long box with the plastic fork that my parents used to buy every year but no one ever ate!) I've put Medjool dates on my list for DH's stocking next year (and maybe some nice looking walnuts and apricots if I'm struggling for him).

An RNLI keyring that hold 5 x £1 coins. I filled it with coins. Went down well as emergency cash stash.

OMGitsnotgood · 24/01/2025 09:29

@WWGD that's my kind of stocking filler: a bit different and useful.

It’s this, and called the RNLI cash stash keyring. But I can’t find it online any more. Maybe they have some in their actual shops? (I don’t live by the coast)

So far I think my DH's favourite stocking fillers were the laser level bought on offer from Amazon, and the Microwave toastie maker, which I think was recommended on here. He loves a toastie and now he can have one when we go away in the camper 😁
