Stocking gifts. Wrapped or not?

We are a childfree house. We have teens coming for Xmas and I'm making them a stocking. Chocs, notebooks, key rings, lip balms, tester sized toiletries etc. I can't remember if stocking gifts are wrapped or not?
Help!

We only have cheap stocking filler stuff in stockings so don’t wrap but all actual presents are wrapped

Ours were always wrapped - I think DM hoped it would satisfy our desire to unwrap gifts for an hour or so while they woke up/had a cup of tea! I plan to wrap DD's stocking gifts when she's old enough for one, but I do find wrapping quite therapeutic 😂

On a separate note, I always seem to think there's a lot of confusion over 'stockings' on MN. Some people call the sack of presents under the tree/in the living room the stocking, whereas others (and I) call the sock shaped stocking left on the bed/door the stocking. I wonder if it's regional, like bread roll/barm cake etc Xmas Grin and now I've typed stocking so much that I'm not even sure it's a real word any more Xmas Grin

Haha, my dm did the same, we didn't have stockings or sacks, all gifts were on the floor, but she wrapped everything including sweets, and I loved it!
I do the same for my 2 dc's stocking; it is so much more fun this way. I'm a quick wrapper, and find it therapeutic too. Once I have the wrappings out I may as well just do them all!
We "send money/gifts to Santa", and he brings all of the gifts and fills the stockings. We have Santa sacks which I position to look like they're pouring out the floor gifts, then the stockings hang on the decorated bannister (we don't have a fireplace). We go downstairs, see if anything is in the stockings, then creep into living room to see if he has brought main gifts too. It all gets opened together, we don't stagger it.
Santa gets one small gift just from him for them as well. Santa doesn't come to adults so all of those go under the tree.

It is crazy how everyone does it so differently. I do wonder if some of it is determined by our own childhoods.

I don't bother wrapping them and never had them wrapped as a child but every home seems to have different rules!

Wrapped, stocking is the best part.

I wrap mine in tissue paper, one pattern or colour for each child, so much easier to fill the stockings up that way
