My last shift is on Saturday 21st until 11pm then I'm off until Jan 2nd.
Can't wait!
Although wish I was breaking up on the 20th with the kids.

My last day is the 18th and I don't go back until the 7th! But I only work 3 days a week so only have to take a few days off.

PumpkinPie2016 · 12/12/2024 19:37

I finish on the 20th and go back on the 6th.

Really looking forward to some time off!

mrsm43s · 12/12/2024 19:39

My last day in the office is 19th, first day back 6th. All annual leave bar the bank holidays.

BiddyPop · 12/12/2024 19:40

DH arrives on 22nd, so I plan to finish Thurs or Friday next week... but I can't rule out needing to cover things after that.

Spaceid · 12/12/2024 19:43

Officially the 19th, but don’t plan on doing much work on the 20th (there isn’t anything urgent to do as my work is project based). I won’t go back until 6th probably as I doubt there will be much on immediately after NY. I mostly work from home so I can do things as and when required. End of January is going to be stupidly busy so will be doing 100hr weeks, that’s why I don’t feel guilty!!

needhelpwiththisplease · 12/12/2024 19:50

3pm Xmas eve and go back on the 2nd jan

wingingit1987 · 12/12/2024 19:53

NHS- I finish on the 19th for a week. Back Boxing Day and working through new year.

bringonyourwreckingball · 12/12/2024 19:58

Finish on 20th, not sure yet when I am back (can book leave very last minute). Dd1 is back from Uni until 11 Jan but dd2 has mocks starting 6 Jan so I will probably work most of that week.

gingercat02 · 12/12/2024 20:05

12:45 Christmas Eve (but only because I don't work Tuesday afternoons) back in 27th, off all of the next week. NHS.

WalterdelaMare · 12/12/2024 20:05

19th until 6th 💃

BraveBlueDuck · 12/12/2024 20:08

I don't.

I finish work 6am on the 25th.

I'm also working New year's eve & day

CharlotteStreetW1 · 12/12/2024 20:09

Close on 20th (normally 23rd but they've decided as it's only one day that week, they'd finish earlier). Re-open 2nd Jan but we're away for New Year so I'm back on 6th Jan. Apart from 2nd and 3rd, no annual leave taken. Cannot wait.

julesagain · 12/12/2024 20:09

I break up on the 20th at lunchtime and don't go back until 7th January. I'm a school bus driver, and both of my contracts have an onset day on the sixth.

eastcoasterly · 12/12/2024 20:11

Break up on Friday next week, back 13th Jan. Taking a proper break! I haven't had a proper break in a long time as previously worked the holidays every year (NHS) so refusing to feel guilty about it Smile

Soccermumamir · 12/12/2024 20:11

We officially break up next Wednesday at 4pm, but have a seminar on Thursday till lunch ( don't class it as a working day as just some fun) then finished till 6th January 😊🎅

user2848502016 · 12/12/2024 20:21

24th, we get to finish early and I will be WFH so I feel like taking a day's leave would be a waste - no travelling time so 2pm on the dot will be logging off!

VegTrug · 12/12/2024 20:31

DD’s primary is 20th but at 2pm instead of the usual 3:10pm finish.
I don’t as I don’t work anymore.

Good for you, I hope you thoroughly enjoy a well deserved rest. 🥂

DGPP · 12/12/2024 20:40

Just want to say thanks to the NHS staff who are working. It is appreciated

RuthW · 12/12/2024 20:51

Finish on the late after of 24/12. Go back 7.45am 27/12

Blushingm · 12/12/2024 20:52

I don't.

District nurse. Working Christmas Day, Boxing Day, nye and New Year's Eve plus days in between too

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 12/12/2024 21:19

7am on Christmas Day. Rest days this Christmas coincide with 25 - 28th but unfortunately this means a 12 hr night shift on New Year's Eve 😩. Emergency Services.
it's the first Christmas DH have both had off ever in the 20 years we've been together

SootspriteSearcher · 12/12/2024 21:23

4.30pm on Christmas eve as long as all the children are picked up from nursery on time and don't fancy a chat at pick up time!

Off until the 3rd January as we close for the week between Christmas and New year. Looking forward to chilling with the kids!

Sidge · 12/12/2024 22:23

I work in a GP surgery. We’re not allowed leave over Christmas or new year but we are closed the bank holidays. So I finish 1800 Christmas Eve then back in 0800 Friday 27th. Nice to have 2 days off though.

LostittoBostik · 12/12/2024 22:24

Self employed so next Fridays after school finishes. Not back till the 7th. But my week before then is brutal.

I'm at my desk now and probably will be til 3am then up for the school run.

It's unsustainable - but I have to pay the mortgage
