Please help me find this toy!!

So my son has lost his most treasured soft toy. It was a black cat, about 30cm long. Crucially it had some sort of beans inside. Made almost of fleecy material not fluffy fake fur. Pink ears.

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything with the beads inside. Anyone have any ideas? Desperately looking for a replacement for Christmas.

I was in a similar situation years back

The teddy was only sold in France (not that i knew that at the time, i think i had originally bought it new but in a charity shop)

This mumsnetter in France found it online, bought it and sent it to me

Was truly wonderful and little one was SOOOO happy teddy was back after a ‘little holiday’

As a kid I had a mohair black cat called ''Black Catty''- I loved that cat.

One day he disappeared, I think mum must have thrown him out.

I really hope you can find one- have you tried Ebay?

Chances are , he's not made any more, so secondary market is best.

Piglets are darlings! I hope you can find a replacement. I'm still sad also about a tiny East German horse made of flocked papier mache that I left on a cafe table in Germany- I noticed he was missing in the car {on holiday} and dad said ''He belongs to another little girl now''.... He had red tack and white fur mane and tail , probably no more than 3.5 inches tall.
Have seen them on Ebay for a lot of money for what they are.

Years ago my son lost his favourite hedgehog toy. I bought another one but it was too clean and fluffy so I took it outside the front door and rolled it around in the dirt with my foot, just as the postman came walking past. I didn't even try to explain but I did get a strange look.

What a wonderful outcome and the good side of MN. This has made my day, and goes a long way to counteract some of the nastiness which can be on MN and in the world generally sometimes. We have to celebrate these moments! Hooray! 😍

Best advice I had before having DS was to buy multiples as soon as they have decided on their comfort toy. He still doesn't know that Bunny has a twin that gets swapped out every night before bed, so that they wear the same.
Or that Bunny started out as one of triplets - but one of them didn't make it back from holiday one time!
