Please help me find this toy!!

So my son has lost his most treasured soft toy. It was a black cat, about 30cm long. Crucially it had some sort of beans inside. Made almost of fleecy material not fluffy fake fur. Pink ears.

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything with the beads inside. Anyone have any ideas? Desperately looking for a replacement for Christmas.

As it was a gift I think it’s likely it was bearington too, I’ve had a look for an all black bearington but no luck so far.

Keel Toys. They were bean filled and fleece texture. Probably no longer made though, mine is 20 years old (small black and white cat).

@AquaFurball yes, I agree! Having spent hours and hours and hours searching I do think it was most likely Keel toys from the texture of the fur.

Damn, we have at least three of the other Keel cats (yes, a good 20 years old) but no all-black one.

As your son will almost certainly know the difference between his old cat and a replacement, though, have you thought about getting him a ginger one or grey one with the same bead weight? If original kitty turns up, he'll have a friend.

OP I got a keel teddy from the charity shop today, sorry it’s a dog but it is bean filled at the bottom, head is normal and fur feels very thick as you described. I would get him a new keel cat not as a replacement but as a new friend
