It’s that time again! Anyone else waiting for the queue to open?

The system tells you to put one or two things in your basket and check out to come back closer to the time. They don’t have all their stock 7 weeks out.

Same! I dread to think how long "more than an hour" actually is 🙈

I logged on exactly at 6 like a noob. Says "more than an hour". I'm too afraid to refresh...

I know things like cream and ham will not be in stock. But I can nip to the shops for a top up after. It just takes the heavy lifting out of it

Done, I logged into the website just after 4 am as was up with the puppy!

I was in the waiting room from 5:40, Still got the wait time is more than an hour message.

I did that last year and it took ages to get through. This year alarm at 5.30 and joined a queue/wait list. System auto updated at 6 and I had a slot by 6.02 and checked out.

Not going to lie, I have queue envy! 😂

I never got a message about a queue or waitlist or anything and I logged on at 5 and was updating regularly. May explain why I’m still at more than an hour now.
Next year the alarm is going on at 5 to 6 as it makes no odds anyway.

There is definitely more to it than what time you join the queue isn't there!?

Yes I know .
But when I had my food delivered on 23 /22 Dec ,so much food we needed was unavailable/ had run out

I was done and dusted by 6.10 this year. Makes a pleasant change! Back to sleep now. Good luck all.

Mines telling me to shop but I can't do anything. Grrrr

As with buying tickets I don't think what time you join the 'waiting room' makes any difference. Every gets put into the queue at the same time at 6am and it's just luck if you are further ahead.

Def more to it than joining time. I’m permanently logged into app and logged into website when I woke earlier in the night. Maybe around four? Both have only started to go down from an hour now. Both showing 45 mins.

Just booked my slot. I wonder if you place in the queue has something to do with the area you're in, some places are going to be busier than others so i wonder if that pushes you further back.

Fyi they have slots available for the days after xmas too!

Currently questioning everything about my life choices. Do I want to wait more than an hour for this? Will I just have to face the shops anyway? If I can get up at 6am today to wait in a virtual queue, I can get up at 6am a couple of days before christmas to shop. Do I need the Tesco queue in my life today?

Mine is now 32 minutes - so moving faster than predicted

I signed in at 5.47.

The 'more than an hour' message halved within four minutes. I'm not sure if that's because a lot of people decided immediately that they couldn't hang around that long, or if everyone was following the advice of just checking out one item to secure their slot, so getting through very quickly.

My predicted wait is down to 13 mains now.

And now back up from 45 to 49!! Ddog needs his walk at 7 so hope they hurry up!

My indicator bar is moving along but it still says wait time is more than an hour 🤦🏼‍♀️. Although if lots of people are signed in in 2 places hopefully it will drop down quickly when they get through.

All done by 6.12! That's never happened for me before, usually been well over and hour. Very pleased to have randomly woken up at 5am half an hour before my alarm AND to have actually remembered! 😂
